When did you first start participating in lumberjack sports?
I started log rolling around 1985 and got started chopping and sawing in 2001

How did you get involved in lumberjack sports?
Growing up in Hayward, WI, I was around the sport a lot. Then, in 2001, I saw it on TV and decided to get back into the sport and be more involved.

Are you related to any current or former STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Series competitors?

Any advice for younger competitors?
Work hard and take the time to learn correctly. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from the pros. Most importantly have fun!

Standing block and single buck

Mountaineering and chopping wood, mostly.

Name three songs on your training/working out playlist?
Huey Lewis, Ben Miller Band and Deadmau5 are usually on rotation. Anything to keep my mind relaxed.

Proudest moment in your life so far:
1st: Chopping on my home dock and the Lumberjack World Championships in Hayward, WI with my whole family there to cheer me on. 2nd: Making the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Series!
