How long have you competed in lumberjack sports?
The first comp I participated in was in Missoula, MT in April of 2014, Later that year I competed in Hayward, WI at the LWC to win the title of Novice single buck world champion 2014.

How did you get involved in lumberjack sports and when did you start competing?
My first exposure to TIMBERSPORTS was in February 2014 when I was invited by my boyfriend at the time, now Husband, Trevor to join in a training session at the yard with the Moses family. It was cold and rainy day so I decided to stay under the covered deck and take turns with the single saw. I really liked the challenge and was determined to gain more skill with it. At that time I also was worried I would chop my toes off if I decided to try the underhand chop, but later that year I was also chopping in competitions as well.

How do you train for STIHL TIMBERSPORTS®?
My best STIHL discipline would be the single buck

Any advice for younger competitors?
You can never practice enough

What’s your best/strongest STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® discipline?
I train for TIMBERSPORTS in the training facility at my home in the shop with my Husband and other athletes.? Living in the pacific northwest it is great to have a covered place to train year round.? I also enjoy yoga and running for conditioning to stay fit.

What advice would you give to young female athletes interested in competing in the sport?
Advice for a young female athlete interested in TIMBERSPORTS - Lets plan a day and have you come?train with me?and try it out, if that's too far, find someone closer you could train with. Its not how many times you do the event that makes you better. You must focus on adjusting your technique to make what you are doing more efficient. The TIMBERSPORTS family is great!
