How long have you competed in lumberjack sports?
I have been competing in lumberjack sports for almost three years.

How did you get involved in lumberjack sports and when did you start competing?
I got involved with lumberjack sports as a freshman in college when I showed up to a University of Montana Woodsman Team meeting.

How do you train for STIHL TIMBERSPORTS®?
I practice the three disciplines along with many other events I compete in at college shows. I try to practice a few times every week but winter in Montana likes to interfere with that.

What’s your best/strongest STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® discipline?
Single buck is my strongest STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® discipline.

What advice would you give to young female athletes interested in competing in the sport?
My advice to young female athletes wanting to compete in TIMBERSPORTS is to not be intimidated by not having experience with the disciplines. I had never even held a chainsaw before joining the University of Montana Woodsman Team and now as a junior in college I’m captain of the team and competing in the STIHL series for the second time. Another piece of advice I would give young female athletes is to never let someone tell you you’re less than or that you can’t do something because you’re a girl. If someone tells you that, do it anyway and show them how wrong they were.
