How long have you competed in lumberjack sports?
I have been competing in lumberjack sports for 5 years.

How did you get involved in lumberjack sports and when did you start competing?
I started in lumberjack sports on the University of Montana Woodsman Team in the fall of 2014.

How do you train for STIHL TIMBERSPORTS®?
Since I am new to the professional scene, I don’t own my own stands and other training equipment so I travel to train with pros including Robert Groce, David and Annette Moses and Arden Coger Jr. They are always very generous with the knowledge they have accumulated over the years and let me use their stands and wood. I wouldn’t be half the competitor I am today without them.

What’s your best/strongest STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® discipline?
My strongest STIHL event is the Underhand Chop.

What advice would you give to young female athletes interested in competing in the sport?
I would tell young female athletes to reach out to people who have been in the sport for a long time and to not be afraid to travel to train with those people. LISTEN to what those people have to say. Absorb as much information as you can and try your very best to do what they tell you. It will feel strange to tweak your swing or your stroke. Some of the techniques taught by men are not going to work for you, and that’s alright. Figure out what works for you and your body and give it your all.
