Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love everything but the gas cap I love the functionality of the trimmer, but would prefer to not get sprayed with gasoline nearly every time I open the fuel tank. It's pretty annoying, and it's disappointing that I'll have to don nitrile gloves or wash my hands every time I open the fuel tank for the life of the machine. I understand, it allowed Stihl to make a smaller gas cap and save money in the long run, but if the threads on the cap were female, then this wouldn't happen and I'd be able to give a five star review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the weekend jobs. I have had much experience with the FS 90. It is a powerhouse compared to the FS 70. Don't get me wrong, the FS 70 is a work horse and gets the job done for a homeowner, but it tends to bog down. Maybe I just need to give it more time to break in. I have not tried cutting big brush with it but it does great for edging and trimming around obstacles. I think it would do fine with the larger gauge string or one of the cutting attachments, it was just not the FS 90 I was used to using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Investment Stihl is simply the best! I bought this weed eater to replace my old one which finally bit the dust after almost 25 years of continued great service. It was also a Stihl. This model is lightweight, easy to use, easy to start, and I'm sure will last for 25 years. When I invest in a power tool like a weed eater or chainsaw, I always buy Stihl. Their products are well made, built to last a long time, and are highly reliable. If you want to invest well...invest in Stihl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power to spare, reliable My other brush trimmer quit and needed one to cut a thick hillside. No one else had a trimmer this late in the season, except for the local Stihl Dealer. I've found this FS70R Stihl to have excellent power and enough to spare. It was easy to handle at any angle. I think I made a great investment in the Stihl brand. Hasn't let me down light to heavy use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Line gets stuck Line gets stuck inside spool way too frequently. I'm constanty having to stop, take the head off and pull more line out by hand. And yes, I am using the Stihl brand line and the reccomended size.
