  • Upright Translucent Fuel Tank

  • Protected Spark Plug
    Protected yet easy to change.
  • Simplified Starting Procedure

FS 111 RX is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from My go to trimmer for years This has been my go to trimmer. I read some of the reviews and people’s personal preferences. To me when I hear it’s not well balanced it’s true to a point. It’s light weight on the cutter head and of coarse makes it seem heavier on the engine end. I love the weight and how it’s sort of counter balanced. For instance you trim around a pond and swing your back that lighter weight head helps a lot. If it’s balanced that doesn’t mean that the engine is any lighter it just means your swinging more weight at the cutter head! I’ve been doing this since 2006. Have numerous Employees that once they get used to it they don’t want anything else! I try a different series or brand and they take it off the trailers say it’s heavier. Now that’s out of the way if you use it ‘daily’ on a couple huge yards or 15 or so small yards, once a year may need a new clutch but out of all the trimmers I used stihls been almost always dependable to start every time and takes care of us.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heavy on the engine, runs out of gas quickly Now you must understand that my review is after using a 94r for a year commercially about 40 jobs a week and 8 hours of trimming in one day every other week, and then switching to the 111rx this year. I needed a backup anyway or a second trimmer in case I hire a helper. I'm here to tell you that the 111 is heavy on the engine side after 8 hours straight in comparison to the well balanced 94. I mean my right arm flat out kills me after using it too long. Plus I have to fill up with fuel more often. Now i'm not saying that it's a bad trimmer or anything, really. In fact it does do a fine job, has more power for sure, and is definitely quieter. I'm just saying that i like the 94 r better so buy up all the 94 r's before they discontinue that outstanding true 2 stroke model

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight and powerful I've had 15 Stihl trimmer's before Stihl I bought new trimmer's every 18 months

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of Junk A horrible design. The way it rattles and caries on and the tiny trigger wears my hand out. It completely bogs down when cutting thick grass. The FS 100 RX was MUCH better. Please bring the old model back. Otherwise I’ll start looking at other brands.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor product bad design Ok i’ve brought this product three years ago. After using this FS111RX over the course of time. It does what other people have stated, that it shutters shakes when you let the cutting line out longer. Once you have removed the cutting guard. Also the weight is way off Balance heavy on the motor end of the product. Also the finger trigger is very inadequate. The product has not given me any mechanical problems. BUT with its faulty design I’m going buy another product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from powerful machine Super easy to start. Regularly clear 2 acres of waist-high grass around a fence of my property. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the supplied bump feeder head is crap. It usually requires disassembly twice to free the line no matter how careful you wind it. Started using CF3 Pro. That line acts as it'll cut through steel so I hardly have to feed it so that helped.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product is unbalanced I’ve owned a landscape business for 15 years and only use stink products but this trimmer is the worst I used. It has plenty of power but when filled with gas it’s so heavy on the engine end that it will wear you out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My all time favorite trimmer I’ve used Stihl, echo and redmax and this is my favorite trimmer by far. Light, handles good, great power. I use it commercially on residential yards and a cemetery and does fantastic. Only been using it a few months though so don’t know on long term reliability but has been nearly perfect so far.
