    Great for the weekend jobs.
I have had much experience with the FS 90. It is a powerhouse compared to the FS 70. Don't get me wrong, the FS 70 is a work horse and gets the job done for a homeowner, but it tends to bog down. Maybe I just need to give it more time to break in. I have not tried cutting big brush with it but it does great for edging and trimming around obstacles. I think it would do fine with the larger gauge string or one of the cutting attachments, it was just not the FS 90 I was used to using.

    Stihl FS 70 R
I bought this unit to replace an old E*** I had been using for about 20 years. This unit is very heavy duty - I wanted to buy the best and I think this fills the bill. It is a bit heavy, so it takes a little getting used to. I found the line that came with it would break off all the time, so I changed to a different vendor and wind it myself. All in all a great value that should last for many years!

“You need to get a Stihl and it will be the last trimmer you will ever buy”
My Neighbor recommended a Stihl trimmer when he heard me complaining about my old Trimmer “You need to get a Stihl and it will be the last trimmer you will ever buy”. After using the Stihl FS 70-R twice I realized how much time I have been wasting on maintenance, and it was a big waste of time and money. The starting system of this machine is the best I have ever used when compared to any other type or brand of lawn equipment.

    Machine is a BEAST!
I have the FS 130 with handle bars and i only use a blade on it I wanted a trimmer that could be multi purpose, use string or blades, so i picked this one up. Today, the first time using it, i put the brush knife on it. We had roughly 1500 sq feet of extremely thick brush to cut by a shoreine about 6+ feet tall. It had more than enough power to get the job done. If i were using a blade on this unit all the time I'd have the handle bars though. Im extremely happy and satisfied with this BEAST so far!

    Great power & fuel economy
This trimmer will cut 12"+ grass /weeds with ease. Fuel economy is great. Fairly light heavy duty trimmer. If you are not strong enough a shoulder strap is included. Saves time on big overgrown jobs. Very versitile cutting head options. This should be just as good or better than the FS 90 it replaced. I expect to get many good years out of the ol girl. If u are looking for a pro trimmer look no further!!!! Thanks Stihl!!!

best value-for-money trimmer on the market
starts very quickly, third pull for me. surprisingly light, considering its size. very powerful. love the rubber grips, too. It is a very comfortable trimmer, great for prolonged use. Also, I can cut around 15 yards on one tank of gas. my only complaints are the lack of a detachable shaft, and it can be difficult to disassemble the head to restring it. I have to use a flathead screwdriver. I have used many trimmers, this is the best one. very good trimmer for the money.

Mine was the 110 but it was not a choice option
Love this beast. As I understand it, the 111 is a technical upgrade of the 110.

    Powerful, Trimmer.
Bought this trimmer for a small lawn Care service. Might be a bit more power then I need for everyday trimming, but when getting into the large ditch banks it powers right thru everything without any loss of power or bogging down! Owned for about 3 months now have had numerous tanks of gas thru it and starts right up every time without any problems and gets the job down day in and day out.

    Great Trimmer
This is a great trimmer with power to spare for cutting through tough conditions. Well balanced and easy to handle, although with power comes some additional weight. Starts easily. I wanted a trimmer to handle light and heavier conditions on our 5 acre lot, and this trimmer fits the bill well.

    Beast mode weed eater
I bought the FS 311 to replace my FS 250 which had to be 15+ years old. The FS 311 has roughly equivalent power but weighs less and is easier to start. It will handle anything that gets in it's way...usually at half throttle. It will take down mature sage brush but the string won't last long doing that. Braided steel may be my next option.

    Great buy!
Most of my trimming is around the house and I know that I didn't need to get a pro version Stihl. But,, for the price difference between a regular home unit and this pro unit,, I couldn't pass it up. I also will need it and have already used it once at the hunt camp. Lots of tall weeds all over,, and this trimmer just ate it up. Love the easy start and it starts after two pulls. So far its been great! I was also impressed how well and easy it fed line out.

    2 Mix Quality
I've carried this trimmer all over our 45 acre farm. With nearly three pounds less weight than the FS91, this trimmer causes a lot less fatigue at the end of a long day. The 2 mix engine works very well. The FS94 is one of very few Stihl 2 cycle trimmers. The 2 mix seems to have a stronger mid range than older 2 cycle designs, and it works very well at part throttle. Fuel consumption is reasonable. For those who need more power one of the bigger 4 mix trimmers may be better, but for clearing ... read more brush all day the FS94 is a great choice.

big power in a small package
I own a lawn maintenance company and bought this trimmer a few months ago. I have used trimmers from many brands but Stihl is the only one that I recommend. I love the power of my Stihl FS250 R, but I don't always need that much power and I just love the comfort and power that the FS94 has. And the 94 was ingenious when they moved the spark plug to the back instead of being so close to my arm...
