    Great trimmer
Sure, it's not as powerful as some of the other Stihl offerings, but it is very reliable and very easy to use. Great weight and balance compared to others in its class, and very good ergonomics. Only thing I would change is to make the guard a few inches wider, as I am a lefty and get some shrapnel on occasion if I'm not careful. Then again, almost every trimmer I've owned has presented similar problems.

    lightweight, powerful and reliable
I bought this trimmer because it is light is the main reason. Very smooth 2 stroke engine, love the trigger, ecospeed comes in handy at times, starts easily and has a plenty of power for anything ive done with it. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY PROFESSIONAL.

The features on this machine make using it easy.
The FS 94 R has the variable throttle control which allows for operating it at lower rpm's around sensitive areas in your yard. It's ability to be operated at any angle is nice for edging and cutting at many angles. The exhaust routing is great, never feel the heat from it while operating no matter what angle I'm using it, which was always an issue with other products I've owned. Starting is a breeze, choke is automatically released once warmed up, when you give it a little throttle to start ... read more operating. The ability to utilize heavier line increases the versatility of the machine.

starts first pull. ready to run immediately, no warm up required
Purchased this a little over a month ago to replace a big box brand trimmer that I had purchased when we lived in town and have struggled with for over 10 years. this is so much more powerful and capable when cutting heavy grass and weeds around my acreage. starts on the first pull, is ready to cut immediately, what a joy to use quality equipment. I do wish that I had spent a little more and gotten the 90 with the solid shaft, in case I wanted to put a brush blade on. Oh well, I guess that's ... read more what my stihl chainsaw is for.

    Stihl FS 70 R
I bought this unit to replace an old E*** I had been using for about 20 years. This unit is very heavy duty - I wanted to buy the best and I think this fills the bill. It is a bit heavy, so it takes a little getting used to. I found the line that came with it would break off all the time, so I changed to a different vendor and wind it myself. All in all a great value that should last for many years!

    Great Trimmer
I bought this trimmer about 2 months ago and have used it 8-10 times. I'm not commercial but do take care of 2 yards and have quiet a bit of trimming. Previously, I've own a couple of Weedeater brand and a Black and Decker battery powered. The B&D wasn't up to the task at all. The FS70 is by far the best trimmer I've owned. It has plenty of power, starts easy, and isn't overly heavy. I also noticed a great deal less vibration. Grass trimming is not my favorite lawn chore but it's a good deal ... read more more pleasant with a nice trimmer and so far the FS70 has been that. Well satisfied with my purchase.

    Extreme power
I have a 45 and a 55 and my dad has a 90 and all 3 looks like toys compared to this one. It is very powerful will cut thru anything in front of it. If you are looking for a heavy duty weed eater to do small to large jobs this is the one you want to put your money into.

    Lots of power, runs great!
Starts on 3rd pull after 12 months! Getting 3 times more work done than my old craftsman. Comfort/power/easy start, one pull starts after warmed up.Wanted a Stihl since I 1st heard of them. Wish I would have gotten on sooner! If you have heavy growth (spring in nw washington) then I need this much power. Please use non ethanol fuel for storage with gas additive, you won't regret this.

    Doesn't stop!
Cut out my 200 ft fence row of overgrown sapplings, some of them upto 3" using the chipper blade.. In about 20 minutes! My previous trimmer was the FS45.. A good trimmer, but not fit for heavy use.. When cutting sapplings, I wanted something that would cut through them without flinching, and not bog down. This trimmer is it. I have owned it for almost 30 days now, have got more done on my place in the last few weeks than I have in the past 6 years! Definitely not a purchase I regret!

    Wonderful time saver
Before purchasing, I was very skeptical about this product. After watching some videos of it in operation, I was certain that they had gone before and "pre-trimmed" the trees to make the trimmer cut faster for the video. I have other STIHL products and knew the quality would be good so I went for it. To say that we were impressed would be an understatement! This thing is a hoss and will save us a tremendous amount of time. We do not use it as a trimmer, but rather solely as a brushcutter for ... read more clearing fence lines and paths through the woods. It really does cut small trees quickly. Anything up to 1/2" it doesn't even blink, amazing. I've cut up to a 3" and you will have to cut on 2 sides but it sure beats running a chain saw bending over for several hundred yards of clearing fence! Another thing that I was worried about was backlash or kickback and warping the saw blade. We have used it for about 30 hours and this have not warped it yet and the kickback doesn't exist unless you cut on the side that is rotating towards you. I would recommend buying a 2nd blade so you can quickly change and keep working. Sharpen the used blade when it's dark out or you get back to the house. The machine is very well balanced and the backpack style (w/ shoulder straps) harness is a MUST. Zero fatigue after 4+ hours of continual use and none of that normal sense of relief to get the darn thing off like I have when I use my homelite weedeater. At first I wanted to go back and purchase a 2nd one but with all the time we are saving I don't think we could keep it busy.

    Stihl FS 310
Purchased to cut brush on 20 acres. This product does the trick. I have cut 3 1/2 " trees with this cutter. Has alot of power. I am cutting brush, small saplings, briars, thick vines of 40 yrs on family farm. My father has stihl FS 90 v. The only negative thing is the bicycle handles. I think they are too wide. I guess that I should do a Youtube video on the cutter. I did alot of research before buying this stihl product. the sales rep at local stihl dealer recommended the fs- 250. I did not want ... read more to go to small of a cutter.

    Excellent Machine
I wanted a higher power trimmer for both string trimming and cutting small trees. The FS 310 was more money than I wanted to spend but after the dealer showed the the features such as vibration dampening & full harness I decided to buy it and I have never regretted it! My home is 20 acres and I can spend hours trimming and clearing with the FS 310. The vibration damping is great along with the power of this machine. I am amazed at the size of tree I can cut down. This is my fifth Stihl product ... read more and I happy with each one. The quality is excellent.

    great power
I have a little weed eater brand at home for light trimming. I used the 240 of my neighbors on a pretty big job the other day. I was very impressed by the performance of the machine. The power is unbelievable and it is very easy to start and use.

    Built to last.
I've had my fs240r for a year now and use it often. It starts on the second pull of the cord every time just like the day I bought it. I've never had a problem with it and maintenance is easy and takes only a few minutes. I will never look at a different brand. Ive had the same experience with all my Stihl equipment.
