  • STIHL Easy2Start™
The STIHL Easy2Start™ system makes starting STIHL outdoor power tools almost effortless, eliminating the need for a strong pull of the starting cord. This advanced starting system is designed to make starting STIHL products easier. The specific system may vary by model, but in each case, a quick pull overcomes the engine’s compression to minimize the strength and effort required to start. Available on selected products.

  • Shoulder Strap / Carrying System
Using a shoulder strap or carrying system helps distribute the weight of the equipment for increased operator comfort and improved maneuverability.
  • STIHL M-Tronic™ System
The STIHL M-Tronic™ system intelligently manages the operating performance of the engine. Equipment performance can be affected by a dirty air filter, changes in elevation or poor fuel quality. The STIHL M-Tronic™ system compensates for these factors by eliminating the low and high-speed carburetor adjustment screws and electronically monitoring the engine and digitally controlling the fuel/air mixture. This new technology also provides a simplified warm start procedure.
  • Multi-Function Control Handle
Having easy access to all of the controls on one comfortable handle makes it easy to complete tasks so the operator’s hand never has to leave the handle.
  • IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor
The IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor measures the air pressure on the clean side of the air filter and adjusts the metering diaphragm in the carburetor. This keeps the RPM at a consistent level, even when the air filter begins to clog.
  • Tool-Free Handle Adjustment
The central wing nut enables easy adjustment without the use of tools. For transportation and space-saving storage, the handle can be rotated 90°.
  • Purge Pump Primer
By pressing the bulb, this small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburetor, reducing the number of starting pulls needed after an extended break between uses.
  • Anti-Vibration System
STIHL has a system for minimizing the vibration levels of handheld outdoor power equipment. The STIHL anti-vibration system helps reduce operator fatigue and provides a more comfortable working experience.
  • Electronic ignition
Electronic ignition provides easier starting and smoother running.
  • Upright Translucent Fuel Tank
Allows operator to easily check fuel level before starting work. Upright position makes it easier to refill.
  • Protected Spark Arrestor Muffler
Has large baffles which reduce noise level and contains a screen designed to reduce the emission of sparks.
  • Protected Spark Plug
    Protected yet easy to change.
  • Simplified Starting Procedure
To get started, simply pump the fuel primer, set the choke and pull the starter cord. The built-in stop switch allows the user to turn off the engine with a simple press of the button. When the engine is off, the throttle lock automatically returns to the “start” setting. Your power tool will be ready to be started when you’re ready to get back to work.

FS 560 C-EM is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great versatility Versatile enough to cut willows with the sawblade and has enough power to run a trimmer head to cut waist high weeds

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Power I bought this machine for my overgrown jobs where grass and weeds are 3+ feet tall. I have the autocut 56-2 and run .130 CF3 Pro line on it and just bought some .130 pentagon line by STIHL. This machine doesn’t slow down, it doesn’t stop, and cuts through everything. I made a video of myself cutting serious overgrown grass and weeds. When I watched it sped up, I could see a cloud of water vapour from how fast the 560 was ripping through it start to form around the area I was working in. Incredible! My only gripe is the line will start to melt in the spool when under load for extended periods.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't keep this thing out of the repair shop! I've had this machine for 3 years and have not been able to get more than 12 hours of operation before it breaks down.It works great when it's working . But sooner or later the engine works fine only to have the head disengage and just slowly spin uselessly Company that I took it to honored the warranty the initial time. But refused to honor the warranty after that telling me it my obligation to get with Stihl for a solution. Yeah.right!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A real beast This machine is a real cutting machine for anything up to 3 or 4 inches. I have been cutting for 5 days with it so far in oak and cherry up to 3” DBH. Not much slows it down. It is also fairly easy to handle for a day with the harness. Only problem I have had is that I fowled a plug right away. I have been running it harder since with no trouble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best on the market! I am in the brushcutting business. We use the 560 for precutting scrub alder areas before our mulchers and blade cutters go in. We like the larger shafts and gear that last a lot longer in severe service areas. We use the saw blades and also have one set up with a blender blade. Easy to maintain! Starts every time! We do use non ethonol gas and Stihl mix religiously!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most powerful brush cutter on the market. I’m going to compare this brush cutter to the 555fx in this review.Performance- The FS560c-em out performs the 555FX if both are equipped with 14” (350mm) cutter heads, if using a 12” or a 10” you wont notice much difference. I prefer the Airecut or Stihl 350mm 3 point head for my stihl and a 300mm 3 point stihl cutter head on my 555fx. When cutting through brush if you see a 2-3” diameter tree you can knock it once or twice and it cuts it off..the larger 14” head will cause you more knock back though....I know its not what they are made for but its a fast way to keep clearing. Performance goes to the Stihl though Id say its 15%-20% more powerful to run that larger head through thick vines.Ergonomics- Due to being lighter the 555fx can be used on a steeper incline easier. 555fx Harness is more adaptable to better angle usages too. The 3 pound difference in weight is noticeable especially when going up an incline. Not saying I dont like the stihl harness...I believe the Stihl Harness will distribute the weight better on your shoulders when not needing to maneuver as freely like in an open area. But I have to give the nod to 555fx on ergonomics.Durability- Both these clearing saws are durably overbuilt. The gearheads are very large (bigger than the ones on the SRM520ES) and easily greasable. Definitely do so every 50 hours use or atleast bi monthly if you use it off and on. The plate on the bottom of the 555FX adds more protection to the bottom side of the engine but Ive abused my Stihl and never had a problem. The trigger on the 555fx Handle seems more flimsy though but no problems with it either. Durability is a tie.Storage- The 555fx handles turn sideways easily instead if just up n down. So it takes up less space on the floor or truck bed. Nod for 555fxLittle things- fuel caps on stihl are easier to open with gloves on, Stihl easier to start when its hot.If I could only have one Id pick the Stihl because I can work faster with it in most situations and if I needed a lighter cutter on a hill I could put a 10” on my fs240r. But I like having the 555fx for doin larger less thick areas and I use it more because its lighter...but I always have my 560c when thd goin gets tough.(Stihl gave me a hard time submitting a review comparing these two saws...I’m quite annoyed by this because these comparison reviews are very important...Stihl fix this)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seriously Professional Brush Cutter After much research, I purchased the FS 560 C-EM with the Chisel Tooth Saw Blade configuration, but I am using the AutoCut 56-2 string head with .130 line that I ordered along with it for maintaining the fence rows on my parent`s property.I am blown away by the performance - nothing slows this beast down - it takes whatever you put before it. I trust the reliability with this brush cutter is just as impressive and from what I`ve read, it should be. If it`s anything like the Stihl 036 chainsaw I bought about 25 years ago that is still an awesome piece of equipment, it will not disappoint. I purchased the FS 560 C-EM specifically to clean fence rows and it`s right at home with the heavy brush growth around them. The AutoCut 56-2 string head with .130 line does a great job on the thick brush, however, I just ordered the Brush Knife and Deflector Kit for it as well for use in the larger brush that I am coming across while cleaning the fence rows that have had a couple of years growth around them where the Brush Knife would be more suited to use.I`ve used the FS 560 a couple of hours (1.5 fuel tankfuls) so far and I love how it gets it done. The AV system works really well - believe me, if it didn`t, my hands would tell me about it later. I`ve had no issues (so far) with my hands or arms after using it and that is saying something.Very happy with this purchase!
