    Look no further
I worked golf course maintenance years ago running big stihl trimmers Now just take care of a few lawns and a few hours trimming weekly on my property. After replacing cheap straight shaft weed eaters every couple yr. Decided to spend the money and upgrade to real thing like my chainsaw and never made a better purchase this is the lightest most powerful well balanced trimmer with almost no vibration to hands. I'm so amazed that there is such a perfect trimmer

    AMAZING TRIMMER!
I have a lawncare business and the string trimmer i was using before was not doing the job anymore, echo srm 225, i decided i needed to upgrade to a commercial grade trimmer, after going back and forth between the fs91 and the fs94, i decided on the 94r due to its reputation. After using this trimmer for about 5 hours one day i knew i made a great choice. Its light weight, powerful, reliable, and built to last. The only complaint i have is the factory line is good quality, just wish this trimmer ... read more would have came with .105 instead of .095. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TRIMMER.!!!

    2 Mix Quality
I've carried this trimmer all over our 45 acre farm. With nearly three pounds less weight than the FS91, this trimmer causes a lot less fatigue at the end of a long day. The 2 mix engine works very well. The FS94 is one of very few Stihl 2 cycle trimmers. The 2 mix seems to have a stronger mid range than older 2 cycle designs, and it works very well at part throttle. Fuel consumption is reasonable. For those who need more power one of the bigger 4 mix trimmers may be better, but for clearing ... read more brush all day the FS94 is a great choice.

Tired? Nah, only been at it a few hours...
This puppy -- once you get it adjusted to your pleasing -- turns a chore into a pleasant walk. And it's very easy to adjust, even when it's attached to your trimmer. It could use a pocket to hold a water bottle, and perhaps a pouch to hold the tools needed to change trimmer heads, but that's a quibble easily handled by the pockets in me kilt. (Normal folks might use a fanny pack or messenger bag.) I have used this for seven hours straight, up and down the foothills in Appalachia, and the only ... read more reason I was tired was due to going up and down "hills" that are over 900 feet high.

    CLASSIC SIMPLICITY!
I do have Stihl's other Top-of-the-Line Harnesses, but they do not have the straight-up simplicity that this harness does. It does have a tendency to load the left shoulder more than the right one, but this harness is my top choice for short jobs. You don't have to worry with loose ends flapping around everywhere when its windy! It is my choice when I'm doing jobs where I have to get in-and-out of my harness frequently. It is a great value.

Take your trimmer to new level
I purchased this attachment with some reservations. Sure, it is a bit pricey but I have found you get what you pay for and the convenience makes up for it. The head swivels to varying degrees and the length of the blade makes it possible for me to trim my 9 foot tall hedge from the ground without a ladder using my FS110. Switching the trimmer head to this takes less than 2 minutes and I can literally trim 40 feet of hedge in the amount of time it took me to get my ladder, extension cords. We all ... read more know the routine with corded hedge trimmers. Climb the ladder, trim what you can reach, move ladder and repeat. With this it is so much easier! Quality is excellent, not sure about replacement blades as these are uncommon at the dealer but I'm sure they have them.

    Excellent Attachment for Clearing Brush
I recently bought a large property. I would estimate the size of the brush/vine/blackberry patch I'm working on now to be about 1.5 acres and it's right in the middle of a field. Using this attachment on my FS 111 R, I have cut through a large blackberry patch. While this is a very effective attachment, it is not for the meek or the weak. Then again, neither is clearing decades old blackberry patches. This trimmer is not light. That said, the adjustable angle allows for you to fine tune your ... read more approach and vary your position enough to delay fatigue as long as possible. I used it about three hours the first day I had it and about four hours the following day, and was able to function at work on Monday. This is plenty for a weekend warrior.

    Awesome
I took out 150 yards of tough black berry bushes along a fence line with this hedge trimmer pretty easily. I attached it to my FS90R trimmer and now I trim most everything with it. If you do long jobs you need some strength cause it can get heavy but it will build up your muscles. This is a very exciting attachment! This relatively small investment can tackle a large variety of clearing and detail work pretty easily.

0.105 Round Red Line best all round, won't eat your spools.
I have the Combo string trimmer/pole saw, in constant use since 2012. It came with OEM 0.095 orange line.I was very glad to see the end of that spool. The 0.105 Round Red line reliably beats its way thru tough weed stems and doesn't eat the spool like most of the more magical high tech lines do, in my experience. Reliable performance. Resists welding itself together on the spool better that most I've tried.

    Best there is!
I have tried several types of commercial line in many shapes and configurations. I cut 3+feet tall grass, star thistle, bull thistle, blackberries, and many other weeds. I cut right to the ground, so I am in the rocks and dirt a lot. This line is consistently the best. Since I not longer play the experiment game, (trying new products all the time), I buy a large roll of this about every year and a half. This line is like my 055 trimmer, it just keeps working efficiently.

    Cuts like a hot knife
This blade rocks. Cuts high grass like a hot knife to butter. I cut through saplings up to 2 inches with little effort. Grass is no match for this blade. It's like a lawn mower but with out the bogging or clogging factor!

    This is a CONDITIONAL recommendation!
The success of your use depends upon what types of grasses/brush you are cutting. I found that the stringy/wiry grasses tend to ball-up between the blade & cutter head, resulting in your having to stop & clear out the mess. Also, this blade cannot be flipped over resulting in your having to spend down-time doing a resharpening. It does perform well in most regular grasses & the limited cutting surfaces keep the operator from over-feeding it into thicker woody material. It is not ... read more expensive. However, for overall usage...I recommend the 2, 3, or 4-tooth blade/knife options, mainly because they can be flipped over in the field with another sharp edge!

Scotch Broom and Blackberries getting shredded
I have 21 acres of scotch broom and blackberries. This blade destroys them both. I love it. It is so satisfying.

    I love this trimmer!
This trimmer is a dream to start. A couple or three pulls after cold start, and it is on. If the engine is already warm, one pull is all you need! The extra long shaft means less bending and less back strain; this model is not overly heavy, so it doesn't kill me to lift it and keep it moving. The 50:1 oil gas mixture makes the engine smoke less than other brands. The only knock I can find on this trimmer is that sometimes the line sticks to itself inside the trimmer and I have to re-thread the ... read more trimmer line. This is a very small knock as I have had other trimmer brands do this as well. Overall, this is by far the best trimmer I have ever owned. If you want a quality product, get a STIHL. You get so much more out of it than what you pay!

Great product with lots of power
Best trimmer I've ever owned. Starts right up every time. Before I purchased this trimmer I read the reviews. I was very hesitant about this buying this trimmer because of the bad reviews about the line not advancing. I would have to agree in the beginning until I spoke with my local dealer. Unlike other trimmers I've owned where you rev the motor and then bump the head, this is not the proper procedure with this one. The right way of doing it is to run the motor about three quarter throttle and ... read more bump the head while still running the motor at power. Its when you let off the throttle as your bumping the head will cause the line to tangle inside the head. As long as the engine is at speed it will work every time. No complaints here. Great trimmer.

    Great string trimmer.
I have used Stihl chainsaws for years and this string trimmer is everything I expect from a Stihl product. The trimmer starts on the first or second pull and warms up quickly. The power the engine produces is very good and more than adequate for trimming tall tough Timothy grass. I chose this model because the curved shaft is longer than the FS 40 which makes it more comfortable for a taller person like me to use.
