“You need to get a Stihl and it will be the last trimmer you will ever buy”
My Neighbor recommended a Stihl trimmer when he heard me complaining about my old Trimmer “You need to get a Stihl and it will be the last trimmer you will ever buy”. After using the Stihl FS 70-R twice I realized how much time I have been wasting on maintenance, and it was a big waste of time and money. The starting system of this machine is the best I have ever used when compared to any other type or brand of lawn equipment.

    Oustanding Trimmer
Once I put high quality line on it (the line provided by Ace Hardware was old and not installed correctly) it worked like a champ. Very easy to start. Although a little heavy, it's well balanced so cutting through a lot of brush for over an hour wasn't as tiring as I feared. Best of all is that it blasts through all kinds of scrub brush up to 1/2" thick. I will cut thicker stems, but not quite as easily. Adding new line is very easy requiring just a few minutes. Use high quality line and ... read more you'll get the best results from this well built machine. I'm currently using Shakespeare .95 Ballistic Triangular line.

    Good buy.
Lots of power, starts easy. 3rd season I have used it and it's showing no sign of slowing down. Only down side is it is a little on the heavy side.

    The best
I bought this to use in the woods cutting small trees to widen trail and it cut so well I used it to make larger plots and shooting lanes. Works great in the yard doing my edge work also. One pull and it starts. This is my first Stihl and it has made me a believer. I am going to replace all my other "orange" equipement with Stihl's. A little expensive but well worth the cost of having quality equipment in your hands

    Product has amazing power
I purchased the Stihl FS111 at the end of last summer for my house and my small lawn care business. The trimmer cost me nearly $500 after the oil i purchased with it to extend the warranty and i also purchased the 8 tooth grass blade for it too. The high price tag was a burden at first but as soon as i started to run it, it was well worth it. 1 hour jobs became 20 minute jobs. The trimmer starts within 3 pulls everytime of use, either cold, hot or anywhere between. Great unit and a good value ... read more for anyone. The only bad thing about the unit is its heavy weight. But its expected of something this heavy duty. I would definitely recommend it

This makes the job much easier.
Can be attached easily and puts some of the weight on your shoulders so you can move the trimmer with more control.

This is the strap that came with my FS 85 Pro when I purchased it. Not one issue with the strap, it stays adjusted and the quick clip is like new. When I use the trimmer on my 2.5 acres it tends to be a 2 hour deal. Lots of trimming plus I edge my 300 foot concrete drive with my FS85. The strap is wide enough to support the trimmer for extended periods, eventually I will switch shoulders the strap is on. Also included in the workload is using the mini cultivater when needed, using the brush ... read more cutter blade on the bigger stuff as needed and using the pole pruner attachment for trimming branches. This strap still handles all the work I throw at it. Highly recommended!

Two years of service with no big issues
I have done things with this pruner I didn't think possible. If you take your time you can cut through most any size tree up to about 16 inches. It doesn't use as much fuel as I expected but it does go through oil somewhat faster. Easy to attach and detach with the multi tool provided. The only complaint I have is the blades don't stay sharp very long.

Wears the Stihl name as good as my other Stihl equipment does.
Just bought on 6/8/2015 came home read manual and went to work. Mounted it on an 130R Trimmer works GREAT. No need for me to buy pole pruner having already owned the 130R. Would be another engine to keep up. This way I run my trimmer motor more so it stays in tune. Going back to get tiller head next. Cuts limbs up as fast as my 211 saw. ( Really need the face screen using it overhead.)

If you need to trim trees and you have a fs90 or larger solid shift trimmer this is the way to go cuts amazingly well.

Stihl Kombi 130 - built to last.
Powerful unit, well made. The double string feeder though, tangles inside and requires frequent disassembly. Not sure why they would release a product that jams up like that. Stihl makes rugged equipment, but instruction manuals are lame and inadequate.

This Limit Stop Deflector is designed for SAW BLADES only!
FS-units that come equipped with Saw Blades are provided with this Limit Stop Deflector. This deflector is suitable for use with Saw Blades only! Brush Knives & Cutting Blades are NOT considered "Saw Blades". You must purchase either the High-Visibility Deflector or the Large Deflector depending on which other cutter attachment you intend to use. Consult your local Stihl dealer to determine which deflector you need. The Limit Stop Deflector is tough & designed perfectly to prevent kick-back.

    Very Confused
There seems to be no literature to determine what guard is needed for what trimmer for any specific application. My dealer is only somewhat helpful. For example, an old FS85X with a brush cutter blade...what guard is needed? Same for the newer FS70 which clearly needs a different guard because of how it mounts on the machine. Stihl website is not helpful. I'm a long time Stihl owner but there needs to be a better information guide or something. Trimmer "X' can use these guards, these attachments, etc.
