Help protect your most valuable resources with the STIHL forestry helmet system.

Product Description

The woods can hold many dangers. Stay one step ahead with the Forestry Helmet System from STIHL. The protection starts with a hard shell of ABS thermoplastic. It gets even better with a six-point, ratchet-style suspension system that absorbs shock and keeps the helmet stable while you work.

The system also features a Cool Guard sweatband to keep perspiration out of your eyes, as well as a built-in rain gutter to direct rain away from your face during inclement weather. Adjustable hearing protectors comfortably reduce noise while an epoxy-coated steel full-face screen helps protect from flying debris.

Hard hat meets ANSI Z89.1-2003 Type 1 Class G. Hearing protectors meet ANSI S3.19-1974 and have a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 24 dB(A).

24 dB(A) Class G

Forestry Helmet System is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Helmet all around I have used this helmet at least a dozen times. Each time I have used it I have had something come off a nearby tree when the tree I am cutting is on its way down. Each of those times, I didn’t even see the branch on its way down. Had it not been for this helmet, I would have some headaches and possibly even some stitches. When used properly and taking care when transporting to and from the worksite, this helmet and ear protection should give you Service for quite a long time.Incidentally, each time I have used it, I have worn it for about 4-5 hours.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quailty and construction - ear piece broke after 7 uses. I bought this all-in-one protection "system" for efficiently and a better fit for the hard hat coupled with hearing protection (with the added benefit of a face screen as opposed to a shield. One of the hearing protection "arms" that connects the hearing "muff" to the helmut fell off after about 7 uses. It is made of poor quality plastic. I attempted to get a replacement part without success. Therefore I cannot recommend this product

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk I have worn this maybe 5-6 times total, AT HOME, cutting firewood and running the weed wacker. The adjustment band broke the second time I wore it and has gotten worse with each subsequent use. For the cost of this and the brand's reputation, it should last many years...sad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Adjustment ratchet Today is July 1 st. This helmet was purchased on May 17th. The adjustment for the head band is broken already. I just got off the phone with Virginia Beach customer service. They will not help me. I was told to go back to the dealer. My dealer is two hours away. This is pretty poor customer service. I will not buy another

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 5 years old but minor problem I have a Forestry Helmet. I am very glad to have found this product. The screen in particular has saved my vision several times.I needed to replace ear pad seals. Mice had discovered it and chewed it.Maybe, the "Sanitary Kit" will be an adequate replacement but I wishit was going to be the same. Perhaps, they have taken the mouse friendlyingredients out of this glossy ear piece.I am glad I discovered the Stihl Forestry Helmet. Comfortable helmets are movelikely to be used

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Headband adjust broke on all three helmets I own three of these helmets and the round dial headband adjustor broke on all three within the first year. Stihil only warrants these for 90-days. Great saws, but low quality on these expensive helmets. Otherwise it is a nice helmet set up from a sound and head protection persepctive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Choice for Head Protection Overall, I have been happy with this helmet system. It is lightweight and simple to use. The face shield is a huge upgrade from the old helmet I had. The old helmet had a face shield made of flimsy plastic! The suspension system is nice, and it can be easily adjusted. The helmet itself seems to be pretty sturdy as well. The earmuffs may not be the best at offering hearing protection, but they do shield your ears from getting whipped or jabbed. They also keep your ears nice and warm in the cold! If you want extra hearing protection, just throw in a set of ear plugs. Anyone running a chainsaw should have some sort of head protection. This helmet is a good choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good helmet I bought one of these helmets back in 2002 when I worked for the National Park Service. I took it with me in the backcountry every time I needed to use a saw. It saved my pretty face from flying debris too many times to count, and never gave me any of the trouble other reviewers have mentioned. I have replaced the screen once due to the original getting smashed up by a horse, and swapped out the earmuffs because the plastic swivels got too loose after 5 years of constant use. I would definately recommend this product.
