Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ear muffs just broke Poor quality and design. I expected better life expectancy from Stihl. I have stihl saws, blowers, tiller, weed eater, and misc hand tools. Will not buy another stihl helmet

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Earmuff Assembly Does Break As Anne in NC states, the earmuffs do break. I was taking my helmet off, and grabbed it by the earmuff instead of the helmet body itself, and snapped the arm right off. It does not fail gracefully, so you cannot just snap it back on, you have to replace it.I use the helmet while mowing the lawn, and it provides good protection from low branches and twigs. It also does a good job of keeping the sun off my face, but not the back of my neck. The earmuffs could be better at blocking sound, so I recommend double ear protection when working with continuous loud equipment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Earmuff assembly breaks Plastic earmuff attachment breaks. I've gone thru 2. The replacement cost is outrageous you have to buy the whole assembly earmuff and all. All you nred is the round attachment for the earmuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use it or roll the dice I'm in my second helmet. First had five cracks this one's taken 15 hits in 3 weeks with no damage. All would have been bad voodoo. I work alone clearing 20 yr old fields for farmers. Run my170 up to the 661c mag. 170 just reached 80k cedar n bodock. Bad happens. The helmet works! Wish stihl would lead the way in safety though for newcomers. Won't touch a saw wihout a helmet .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Helmet sweat band is poor quality Most aspects of the headband are adequate. It does a decent job of noice reduction. I have worn this in the California Atmospheric River rains and it does a good job keeping water off my face. The sweat band however is extremely poor design and does not stay on the helmet frame. This contributes significantly towards the helmet's discomfort. I expected better product scrutiny from a company like Stihl. If you buy this product, plan on ordering a different sweat band.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s good Light weight and comfortable wearing all day in hot or cold weather. Muffs are comfortable and drastically reduce noise. Muffs and face shield flip up out of way quick and easy

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Helmet System I have been using this helmet system for the last year doing a lot of tree felling and firewood cutting. The helmet has performed well. The hearing protection is good, even with safety glasses on. The screen does a good job with flying debris and I like that this mesh has smaller openings which reduces the chances of something getting through the mesh. The helmet has performed well, I have had a few small branches come loose while felling some dead trees and I am so grateful to have had this helmet on. The only reason for not giving it a full five stars is the sweatband. It is not padded well and will not stay in place no matter what I do. Also the material does not do well at wicking away moisture. Overall a good product and an essential piece of safety equipment when using a chainsaw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great protection but it breaks I had this hard hat system for a couple years.I though it was a really good hard hat ear muffs and face shield. It worked well until late spring this year. I was out cutting on a hot humid day and there where a lot of deer flies out. Well i flipped the ear muffs downd a deer fly was in the right muff. I flipped open the right ear muff and the hinge part broke off. I could still use this very good hat if i could find another muff that fit it.
