Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Gloves I've had these gloves for several years. I've used them intermittently for yard work of various kinds, handling trash at the dump, and similar things. I just came to the Stihl site to confirm the name of the gloves b/c I'd like to re-order them. I thought I'd write a review since my experience doesn't reflect some of the others! (They are the same gloves). I'm interested in a new pair b/c one of the fingers wore through due to use. They've been great gloves - good quality and no issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pretty Bad I really thought these would be a good purchase but less than a half season of wood splitting and they are destroyed. I spent good money for these gloves thinking they would last at least 1 full year but I was way off. Spend your money only if you dont do a lot of work in them

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falling apart in less than a month Poor material, poor stitching, and so not worth the value. I didn't even get a month of cutting out of them before the protective stitching started coming apart and the finger tips started to wear out

Rated 4 out of 5 by from CONDITIONAL Recommendation! I have been critical of most gloves over the years, because I wonder if the designers have ever seriously performed manual labor themselves. It appears that the designers are more focused on "eye appeal". I suggest field-testing your proposed designs in a variety of intended-use conditions.Having said that, I did purchase a pair of these because of the specific protection I needed. I am using them for the knuckle protection they provide. If you are going to operate the FS-series Brushcutters/Clearing Saws, I would choose these over the other gloves offered in the Stihl line. The steel cutting blades are notorious for picking up small, dried, hard clusters of brush root stubble from previous years' cutting that have worked loose from the soil. They will occasionally hit your knuckles on the handlebars at extremely high velocity that can bring tears to your eyes! Since my application of use does not include intense fingertip use, the problem encountered by other end-users is not so much of a factor in my comments. I wish ALL work gloves were, at a minimum, double-stitched with the highest-quality synthetic thread available! Some places should be triple-stitched.Repeat, DO NOT operate the FS-series Brushcutters/Clearing Saws without knuckle-protecting gloves or you are asking for stitches or broken knuckles!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from With a few changes this would be a great glove. I cut wood every week. Sometimes it is logs but mostly it is firewood. I also split all my firewood with a go-devil(splitting maul). The finger tip material is coming off and now catches on things. It needs to be sewn on better or not used at all. The palm area is very comfortable and seems to be durable. The wrist cuff is also separating from the glove due to the stitching. The gloves need more leather, it is still the most durable product for a glove.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Finger pads flake on first use I bought these to replace a pair of Stihl PROscaper gloves that weer stolen (they were great gloves). The Stihl dealer didn't have the PROscaper gloves in stock, so I got the high performance PRO gloves instead. They fit well. The black material used to coat the finger pad area flaked off the first time I wore them. It is a thin material meant to give the finger tip area reinforcement and provide more wear resistance. I was bucking up some firewood the first time I used them. By the third or fourth time I wore them, almost all of the material on the finger tips was gone on all 10 fingers. I continue to use the gloves (since I've already paid for them). A couple of finger tips now have wear holes in them. I don't see these making it through the fall. I would have returned them after I first wore them, but the Sthil dealer I bought them from is about 45 min away - not worth the 2 hours and 12 bucks in gas.I'd look elsewhere for gloves - the PROscaper gloves were good (if you can keep them from getting stolen)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough & Rugged Gloves! These gloves are great! Made with high quality materials, they fit snug with a nice non-slip grip. Great to use during yard work sessions or doing some hard core construction jobs. They look awesome too!
