    Safety first!
I would feel naked without wearing these if I was using my chainsaw. Statistics has proven that a majority of all injuries caused by chainsaws occur to the lower extremities. These chaps cover the areas most commonly affected by chainsaw injuries to the legs. I love wearing these along with my other PPE. They fit very well and are adjustable at the waist and at 2 locations along the pant leg to fit the width of your legs. They are lightweight, flexible and allow a great range of motion to the ... read more operator. I like the black color chaps because the dirt and grime is less obvious to show.

    comfortable but short
Comfortable but to short. Wish the blacks came in longer lengths like the orange. Note the 36 is from waist and is the longest in the black. Will you be getting longer size in black in future? I still haven't worn them yet to cut, in hopes of a longer black size. Really don't like the orange.

Easy to put on, nimble to wearer
I wear my Woodcutter Chaps in very wet conditions. I maintain waterways. I wear them over breathable chest waders in the winter. Just this past week I had to use them, meaning the chain/bar tapped my knee when a widow maker hit my Stihl helmet (awesome helmet). Everything happened quickly. But my waders didn't receive any damage and neither did my knee. Oh it could had been bad but the chaps worked. Awesome stuff Stihl!

    No more aches and pain
Not the prettiest glove out there, but gets the job done with less hand fatigue and pain. The glove material allows breathability so you don't sweat too much. The palm pads allows enough spacing to be able to grip the tool you are working on. Dexterity is enough to move a slide control, squeeze a throttle trigger, set a choke knob and of course pull the starter grip. Pressing on a fuel pump bulb can be awkward since you can't feel too much pressure on your finger tips, but takes time and ... read more experience. Overall, I'm glad I got these gloves despite looking like the tire guy. In the past, my hands ached after yard work using the Stihl 130R with the edger attachment. It has much vibrations and made my hands ache and cramp. In my opinion, these gloves work better than other anti-vibration gloves.

perfect to dampen vibration to hands
These are not "work gloves" per se. You use them as you would use oven mitts to pull something hot out of the oven so you don't burn yourself - but to insulate your hands from the vibration of the machine you're using. I've used these with the monster 560 brush cutter for a couple of years and they are worth every penny. They've been durable and cool enough to wear in the summer. Only wear them when your operating the machine. Use other gloves for grabbing wood or tools. Great for using brush ... read more cutters for extended periods.

    Dulls Vibrations
I use these with a 20yr old Homelite string trimmer, and they do reduce felt vibration. I have found that it is necessary to start the trimmer with the gloves off, because I am unable to operate the fuel bulb or the choke lever with the anti-vibe padding. (The controls on the Homelite are small and could be configured a lot better). I recommend these gloves because they do what they say; however, if I were to re-design them I would leave the anti-vibe padding off of the trigger finger.

    Adjustment problem
Not enough directions provided on how to adjust the size of the hearing protectors. The muffs did not pull down so I removed the two plastic tabs. The muffs then easily adjusted but the metal wires popped out from the plastic casing. I replaced the plastic tabs and got one wire back in but the other wire remains partially out. The noise reduction is good. They are comfortable but a couple sentences regarding the best method to adjust the size would have been very helpful.

    Excellent Hearing Protection and Quality
These are excellent ear muffs with excellent hearing protection. I have tried other Stihl ear muffs and these are the best. Durable and light weight. I now own two pairs and will own a third if the need arises. I use them when running a vacuum inside my home to cutting firewood with my MS250 to operating our family farm 1967 model Ford 5000 tractor to riding my 4wheeler. Good all around muffs. And as an added bonus they keep your ears warm during the winter months!

Great inexpensive gloves for utility service
I have purchase numerous pairs of these gloves, and will so long as Stihl offers them in their product line. Great for all around hand protection and warmth. Loading wood, assembling a chain saw, chopping firewood, shoveling snow; any activity where superficial skin injuries to the hands are to be avoided. These gloves have a bonded rubber-like treatment to the Palmer-finger surface that helps the wearer maintain firm grip on the object you're holding. Soft, durable and reasonably priced make ... read more this glove my favorite.

They stay in my ears; they cut out the noise.
I WEAR THESE BECAUSE THEY DO THE JOB. THEY DON'T MUSH-UP THE WAY THE FOAM SQUEEZE CHEAPIES DO. WHEN THEY GET COVERED IN CRUD (AND THEY DO!), THEY ARE EASILY CLEANED. I THOUGHT THAT WEARING THEM WITH OVER-THE-EAR EARMUFF-STYLE WOULD REDUCE SOUND EVEN FURTHER, BUT IT TURNS OUT MOST OF WHAT YOU HEAR WITH THEM IS WHAT THEY CALL 'BONE-INDUCTION' HEARING -- WHICH MEANS THAT MOST OF WHAT YOU HEAR IS COMING FROM YOUR SKULL BEING VIBRATED BY NOISE, NOT THROUGH YOUR EARS. SO THEY'RE GOOD ON THEIR ... read more OWN. THESE ARE VERY EFFECTIVE. THE ONLY DRAWBACK TO THESE EARPLUGS IS THEY SOMETIMES ITCH IF YOU KEEP THEM IN YOUR EARS TOO LONG. NO, I'M NOT YELLING. Comfortable
In Florida it's hot and humid almost all year. These slip into your ears and do not have the large pillow muffs that the other styles of each protection have so they are comfortable to use and have a string to keep them together. I have been using the same pare for a year and they keep going strong. They stay on the string and easily dangle from my neck when not in use. Just clean them between used and they should lady a good long time. Great Product!
