    Good prunner
Very pleased. Easy to extend. Works well. This is a homeowners model. Could use more power and a little bigger teeth.... but as I said it isn’t something to use everyday. If you have stuff that needs cut off.... this will do it. Did use it to cut off limbs that were 4” thick. Take your time let the prunner do the job. Glad we bought it. It is heavy, but it has to be.

This product is awsome doing plum trees
Only used it three time and I love it. Starts easy and is ready to use when I need it. The price is a little high for what I needed, but I will never need any more to get the job done. Mostly using it on plum trees that are tall and this does the job with it's extended reach. Very easy to use and light weight.

    Excellent Product
I bought the HT 103 to cut branches on 15 acre farm which has many low hanging limbs on the field edges that hit you in the face while running a bush-hog with the tractor. I'm very experienced with chainsaws and cut professionally for a period of time. This is my first season with the saw and thus far I am ecstatic with the performance. Being able to extend the reach and function has been superb.

    My go-to tool for trees
Love, Love, Love this pruner! A must-have for tree trimming. I have run over them with my truck & still works like a charm. The tool that comes up missing because everyone else wants to use it.

    Typical Stihl Quality
Bought this to trim some branches that I had to keep moving out of my way when mowing my lawn. Sliced through Red Oak limbs like they were nothing. Very sharp, great quality. A little pricey, but a lifetime warranty goes a long way to offset the price.

Great for reaching branches in high places.
I purchased the PP100 several years ago to prune branches on my property. It has proven to be an excellent hand tool for trimming and for reaching those hard to get branches. I would recommend the PP100 for those that demand HIGH QUALITY tools in their arsenal! You will be amazed at the size branches this tool will handle. Very useful tool!

    Great pole saw
I recently bought my first pole saw from a noted home improvement store: a 16' extendable fiberglass unit with a saw blade and lopper head. It was not expensive, and it showed when I used it. I returned it, and bought another online with blue aluminum poles promising cuts at over 30' high. When the set arrived, I assembled all six 6' poles, checked it for stability, found the results laughable and listed it for sale without even opening the box containing the saw head, blade, etc. I then did ... read more what I should've done initially, and that of course was buy the PP900 with extra mid pole, and I am beyond pleased with this set. For one thing, all of the components are beautifully crafted, if you can say that about a pole saw. Both the saw and lopper blades are razor sharp. When I first looked at the 13" saw blade mine came with, I was a little concerned because it was not as "tall" as a 13" blade I have on a hand pruning saw. I thought that might affect its lateral stability while cutting. It absolutely did not; the saw cut exceptionally well. The rope the set comes with is 14' long; obviously if you get the mid pole and intend to use the lopper head with all three poles you'll have to get a longer rope. I did; no big deal. This is a first class pole saw. Incidentally, I am 5'6" tall, 140 lbs, and 62 years old, and am able to handle this unit with all three poles connected without difficulty. FYI, each pole weighs approx. 2lbs. 6 oz., the lopper head with rope weighs approx. 2lbs. 4oz. and the saw head w/blade weighs approx. 1lb. 3oz.

Very well made, high quality pole pruner
I bought the PP 900 a few years back and use it quite regularly on my tree covered lot. It has a very good blade on it for effortless cutting of limbs. I also like the fact that you can get replacement parts if you need them. The unit is expensive, but you get what you pay for! STIHL has done their research on this tool! I HIGHLY recommend the PP 900.

    This product is the best
I am 60 years old, obese, and have a lot of large mature trees. I bought this pruner 4 years ago, works great, branches cut like butter. I also purchased a third pole to reach even higher branches. The saw blade has yet to go bad after many many hundreds of branches cut, some 5" thick. The pruner cuts 1" thick branches easily. Easy to handle, light weight, cuts fast, and still works like new after many years. You will not be disappointed purchasing this.

I've had a Stihl pro chainsaw for 25 years and it's super reliable, also have a Stihl gas leaf blower. Big fan of Stihl products. I bought this pole pruner to replace a lousy battery powered one that was always frustrating to use. This saw is very well balanced, starts easy and idles perfectly. The chain is staying tight and is quite amazing in cutting power. I've been trimming live oak limbs (dense and hard wood) and this powers right through. Unless I'm cutting down an entire tree, this is ... read more my go-to saw. I do have one complaint, the design of the engine housing needs to be improved. As it is now the saw can't easily be stored in a vertical position - it doesn't have a flat space to rest on. I always have to fiddle with it to get it to stay in one position. Stihl has not solicited my review - I'm just a happy owner. Oh, I'm also 70 years old, in fairly good physical condition and handling this saw is well within my capability.

    Awesome Machine
Awesome engine design as a 4 stroke without a oil sump which has to use gas/oil mixture. Not sure how long this design has been on the market for durability but I'm giving its low end power and light weight an A+.

    Great power
We recently picked up an HT 250 as a replacement for an aging HT 75. Let me tell you, the difference is night and day. The 250 has more than enough power for any job. I'm a firm believer that many pole saws are underpowered, but this one is not. We have used it extensively pruning many acres of orchard trees and it has not let us down once. Some people complain about the new cutting head having plastic components, but I have not found this to be an issue at all. Unless you are purposefully ... read more abusing it there shouldn't be any problems - and the weigh savings are very noticeable when you are operating the saw all day. Highly recommend it.

My friend and I each bought the HT 250 and have been extremely impressed with it. I previously had the HT 70 and the 250 blows it out the water. Everyone that sees me operate mine immediatly wants one. We’ve had them for 2+ years now.

Overall a good polesaw with good reach, sharp blade and easy to use.

It's lightweight, but stiff and strong
Even though I have an HT-250 pruner, I was surprised at how often I reached for this one when cleaning up properties and improving sight lines at corner properties. It's quick, easy, light, strong, and after 15 months of use, the blade is still sharp. Moreover, I use it to limb long branches once they're on the ground, making them easier to load onto the truck. Great tool!

great pole saw with small weakness
The telescoping aspect is great. Don't need to add extensions on and off, make you save a tonne of time. The blade is well design but could be a bit narrower for easier access in between branches. The big down is the locking mechanism is a plastic that cracks after a while. Rubber bumper at the end wears off pretty fast if you don't pay attention.
