I use this more than my chainsaw
I was a little shocked at the price of this saw once I bought it. Little did I know that on my first job it would pay for itself in the time it saved. I am the envy of my block and all my neighbors have asked me to come help out since I was equipped to handle the tough jobs they couldn't do safely from a ladder. I highly recommend this pruner. It is versatile enough to do any job I throw at it and powerful enough to handle the daily load I put it under as a professional.

Best "chainsaw on a stick" that I have ever owned or used.
We try to maintain over 200 oak trees on our place. Over the past 10 years or so, I have gone through several "cheap" pruners and chainsaws. We were spending as much time working on the tools as we were working with them. The HT 131 is heavy as compared to the others, but it is a lot more heavy duty and does not require near the maintenance. We are very satisfied with the tool and recommend it to anyone who wants a tool that will work with you and get the job done.

Should have purchased this saw many years ago.
Next to the zero turn mower this pole saw is the best investment I have made in a long time. I have had it for six days now and used it every day without any issue at all. Will use it this fall to start and clear fence lines on the farm that I have been meaning to do for years. Showed it to a fellow farmer yesterday and he was so impressed he went up the road and ordered one for himself. Nothing bad to say about this saw and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good commercial duty pole saw.

    My go-to tool for trees
Love, Love, Love this pruner! A must-have for tree trimming. I have run over them with my truck & still works like a charm. The tool that comes up missing because everyone else wants to use it.

Great for reaching branches in high places.
I purchased the PP100 several years ago to prune branches on my property. It has proven to be an excellent hand tool for trimming and for reaching those hard to get branches. I would recommend the PP100 for those that demand HIGH QUALITY tools in their arsenal! You will be amazed at the size branches this tool will handle. Very useful tool!

    Typical Stihl Quality
Bought this to trim some branches that I had to keep moving out of my way when mowing my lawn. Sliced through Red Oak limbs like they were nothing. Very sharp, great quality. A little pricey, but a lifetime warranty goes a long way to offset the price.

    Best pole saw made
This saw is way above the competition. Ive used every pole saw know to man and the stihl cutting speed and rigidity of the saw blade are the best in the business. They dont last forever but thats the nature of this business, we wear out everything. Ive purchased 7 of them for my tree company so far. Highly recommended.

Simply the best pole saw I have ever used
Lightweight, well-made and effective. What more could you ask for?

    Useful
I have gone through several other brands of pole pruners and this one tops them all. Its extended reach is astounding. It cuts through anything. Its expensive but well worth it. I don't really like how the lopper attachment comes with such a short rope and it doesn't even come attached but thats a simple fix. Just have to buy a longer rope.

    This product is the best
I am 60 years old, obese, and have a lot of large mature trees. I bought this pruner 4 years ago, works great, branches cut like butter. I also purchased a third pole to reach even higher branches. The saw blade has yet to go bad after many many hundreds of branches cut, some 5" thick. The pruner cuts 1" thick branches easily. Easy to handle, light weight, cuts fast, and still works like new after many years. You will not be disappointed purchasing this.

Wish I had paid the high price years ago
Over the years I've purchased half a dozen pole mounted saw and clipper devices from those with ratcheting gears, long leverage arms, etc. NOTHING comes close the Stihl. Take care around the clipper blade. The first thing mine cut was the back of my knuckle as I pulled it from the packaging. I didn't feel the cut it was so sharp, and it effortlessly glides through sapwood limbs. With two hands on the rope and the pole against the trunk or a leg you can cut any living oak limb that will fit into ... read more the mouth of the cutter. The blade does not flex and makes a clean cut all the way through it's arc. I also bought the longest saw blade for its longer cutting stroke and to allow cutting larger diameter limbs. It has amazingly efficient teeth and the perfect angle. One or two pulls and it creates a deep enough groove to allow cutting on the pull AND push stroke. The little nub/stopper on the end prevents pulling the blade all the way through. A feature I didn't realize I wanted until I tried it. In a careless moment I left it in the fall area of a tree and the blade was bent over 90 degrees. However, when I freed the blade, it snapped back and remains straight as the day it was purchased. From the chainsaw protective chaps the screen faced hard hat, to all the chainsaws, chains, bars, Weed and Brush trimmers, oils and parts, there is no other "brand" that I have grown to trust so totally and across the entire product line. If they made cars, guns or anything else, I would be among the first buyers no matter the price.

    Great gas pruner
The HT 100 is a well powered, light weight pruner that is very dependable. For one of the less expensive models, it has plenty of power to bring down large branches. When you hit the throttle you can feel the power of this pruner. It does not mess around when it comes to doing a good job for you. I was so pleased, after I sold my lawn care business, I bought another one. You will not be disappointed.

    Fantastic Product
This is soooo easy to use. I had multiple trees on my property that needed lower branches trimmed off. Doing it by hand was a very tiring and time consuming task. Using the HT 100 made it quite easy -- my wife even wanted to use it and it was easy for her to work. HIGHLY recommend this for getting rid of those annoying limbs.

    fantastic!
I bought a Stihl chainsaw several years ago it proved to be the best I had ever used. Since I bought a hand held blower for my wife a backpack blower and the pole chainsaw pruner they are super ..the best!

    Wouldn't be without it!
We recently had a 60' Juniper tip over after becoming super saturated from the massive rain storm that recently hit Northern California. The tree was located on a steep hill, which made it very risky to get in close with a chainsaw. The HT 101 allowed me to safely take the tree apart without the risk of significant injury. A five star tool all the way!

    Super saw
This pole pruner is a little pricey but you get a solid rugged piece of equipment for your investment. I am not a large person so maybe a larger person could handle it more easily than I. However, it gets the job done in good fashion although a bit fatiguing for a smaller and older person such as I. 5 ft. 6 in. and 63 years old. It extends very easily and has plenty of power. I was surprised how quickly it cuts thru 6 and even 8 inch oak limbs with ease.

    Works Great for Me!
Bought the HT101 a month ago. I've used it to maintain a large common area for a HOA. Sarts on the first pull every time. Cuts like butter. I had a competitors unit previously that always got stuck in cuts and bogged down. The Stihl powers right through. The only thing I could say I don't love about it is the bottom is narrow and it is top heavy when sitting in the bed of a pickup. That causes it to tip over in transit. It doesn't leak fuel or bar oil when this happens so, its not a big deal.
