Best Tree Saw I Have Ever Owned
It's light and strong. Doesn't whip around like wooden pruners. One of the best tools that I have. Worth every penny.

    Completely awesome yard tool
My 14 year old 12' Pole saw finally broke for good. I debated buying a 21' Japanese saw for awhile then I happened to see this Stihl saw at my local ace store. Once I had it in my hands It felt just great and was lighter than I expected. Made the ace manager measure the saw and it was almost 19' to the base of the saw blade. Took it home and started trimming my Queen palm trees and did t stop until it was dark! Very powerful saw blade and the ligament and hook cutting blades were super ... read more sharp. This Stihl was an absolute pleasure to use and its light weight and grip didn't tire this old 59 yo man! My only regret is not buyi g this a year ago

This saw makes me look good every time I use it!
Cutting trees and limbs that are right up against buildings, or could fall on objects, are easily dismantled from the top down and safely brought down. It's like having an 18 foot long surgeons scalpel and people are amazed when they see it in action. This is a professional quality tool and the best pole saw that I've ever used.

Should have purchased this saw many years ago.
Next to the zero turn mower this pole saw is the best investment I have made in a long time. I have had it for six days now and used it every day without any issue at all. Will use it this fall to start and clear fence lines on the farm that I have been meaning to do for years. Showed it to a fellow farmer yesterday and he was so impressed he went up the road and ordered one for himself. Nothing bad to say about this saw and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good commercial duty pole saw.

Best "chainsaw on a stick" that I have ever owned or used.
We try to maintain over 200 oak trees on our place. Over the past 10 years or so, I have gone through several "cheap" pruners and chainsaws. We were spending as much time working on the tools as we were working with them. The HT 131 is heavy as compared to the others, but it is a lot more heavy duty and does not require near the maintenance. We are very satisfied with the tool and recommend it to anyone who wants a tool that will work with you and get the job done.

I use this more than my chainsaw
I was a little shocked at the price of this saw once I bought it. Little did I know that on my first job it would pay for itself in the time it saved. I am the envy of my block and all my neighbors have asked me to come help out since I was equipped to handle the tough jobs they couldn't do safely from a ladder. I highly recommend this pruner. It is versatile enough to do any job I throw at it and powerful enough to handle the daily load I put it under as a professional.

Great for reaching branches in high places.
I purchased the PP100 several years ago to prune branches on my property. It has proven to be an excellent hand tool for trimming and for reaching those hard to get branches. I would recommend the PP100 for those that demand HIGH QUALITY tools in their arsenal! You will be amazed at the size branches this tool will handle. Very useful tool!

    My go-to tool for trees
Love, Love, Love this pruner! A must-have for tree trimming. I have run over them with my truck & still works like a charm. The tool that comes up missing because everyone else wants to use it.

    Typical Stihl Quality
Bought this to trim some branches that I had to keep moving out of my way when mowing my lawn. Sliced through Red Oak limbs like they were nothing. Very sharp, great quality. A little pricey, but a lifetime warranty goes a long way to offset the price.

    Very helpful tool
I purchased this pruner several years ago and it has been very useful with South Florida trees. I cut live oak, olive, various palm, and royal poinciana branches with great success. Reliability has been good very rarely had to take it back for tune ups. I found the non ethanol gas to be better. Some say its heavy, I think it is good exercise, but I am a big guy. It has saved me a lot in pruning costs. When the neighbors hear it, they all have favors to ask! Very important - Remember to wear ... read more your eye protection!!! The sawdust does blow around a bit.

    Great pole pruner
This is a great tool to have in your arsenal, from landscaping to logging. If your cutting a trap line or shooting lanes for your hunting stand, this is a must have! Once you use this machine, you will be kicking your self for not buying it earlier. I know I certainly did. The only draw back is the steep price tag on it.

Great Pruner but can get heavy to handle
This is a great buy and extremely useful around the house and on the farm. It has already paid for itself in one week because of all the limbs I have trimmed in my tree lines. The only negative I have is that this prunner can get very heavy after using it for a prolonged period of time. I believe Stihl sells a shoulder/back bracket to help hold the prunner. That is something you might want to consider purchasing to make it easier on your arms and back.

Wish I had paid the high price years ago
Over the years I've purchased half a dozen pole mounted saw and clipper devices from those with ratcheting gears, long leverage arms, etc. NOTHING comes close the Stihl. Take care around the clipper blade. The first thing mine cut was the back of my knuckle as I pulled it from the packaging. I didn't feel the cut it was so sharp, and it effortlessly glides through sapwood limbs. With two hands on the rope and the pole against the trunk or a leg you can cut any living oak limb that will fit into ... read more the mouth of the cutter. The blade does not flex and makes a clean cut all the way through it's arc. I also bought the longest saw blade for its longer cutting stroke and to allow cutting larger diameter limbs. It has amazingly efficient teeth and the perfect angle. One or two pulls and it creates a deep enough groove to allow cutting on the pull AND push stroke. The little nub/stopper on the end prevents pulling the blade all the way through. A feature I didn't realize I wanted until I tried it. In a careless moment I left it in the fall area of a tree and the blade was bent over 90 degrees. However, when I freed the blade, it snapped back and remains straight as the day it was purchased. From the chainsaw protective chaps the screen faced hard hat, to all the chainsaws, chains, bars, Weed and Brush trimmers, oils and parts, there is no other "brand" that I have grown to trust so totally and across the entire product line. If they made cars, guns or anything else, I would be among the first buyers no matter the price.

Very well made, high quality pole pruner
I bought the PP 900 a few years back and use it quite regularly on my tree covered lot. It has a very good blade on it for effortless cutting of limbs. I also like the fact that you can get replacement parts if you need them. The unit is expensive, but you get what you pay for! STIHL has done their research on this tool! I HIGHLY recommend the PP 900.

    Great gas pruner
The HT 100 is a well powered, light weight pruner that is very dependable. For one of the less expensive models, it has plenty of power to bring down large branches. When you hit the throttle you can feel the power of this pruner. It does not mess around when it comes to doing a good job for you. I was so pleased, after I sold my lawn care business, I bought another one. You will not be disappointed.

    Fantastic Product
This is soooo easy to use. I had multiple trees on my property that needed lower branches trimmed off. Doing it by hand was a very tiring and time consuming task. Using the HT 100 made it quite easy -- my wife even wanted to use it and it was easy for her to work. HIGHLY recommend this for getting rid of those annoying limbs.

This saw has plenty of power
I owned a pole pruner for several years, not from Stihl, and was very dissatisfied with the power and ability to cut limbs out of my trees. The pruner broke down and I had the occasion to go to a Stihl, dealership for the other vendors parts and saw a Stihl HT 100 Pole Pruner and decided I would buy it rather than trying to fix my other product. Wow! What a difference working with the Stihl Pole Pruner as there was much better power and balance in the Stihl pruner. I will never go back to ... read more another brand and this Stihl HT 100 is fantastic to work with.
