    awesome
i am a home user, was looking for pole saw, Stihl came recommended from a friend who owns almost all the saws Stihl makes, i am only 150 lbs, very lean and thin person, even this one feels heavy after an hour of cutting, still i had so much fun with this saw. it starts with one pull almost all the time, easy2start makes starting so easy i think my 10 yr old daughter can start it. once started it cuts branches like butter, nothing will be able to stop this saw, i have cut oak~pine with ease. i ... read more would recommend this pole saw over any other brand at any time. after i was done with my backyard, i volunteered to clean up my friends backyard. too much fun!!

    easy to use
this is a good product. I had about 10 trees to prune on my property. The saw worked very well and was easy to handle. I have had STIHL chain saws all of my adult life. I still have a old Super 45 Av chain saw that is running well when needed that is 35 years old or so. I think this pole saw will last as long. I also have 2 other STIHL chain saw and a leaf blower. They all work well

This product is a must have for any small lanscaping and/or tree service.
This saw has been great, & the price was just right! Im a owner/operator of a tree service & was looking to purchase a good stihl pole saw. After pricing a few of their saws, i decided to go with the HT56c. This saw reaches 12ft, but is starionary. This didnt bother me because the telescopic saws wouldnt fit in the back of my truck. The HT56c breaks down into #2 six foot poles and is easy to store away. The saw has performed extremely well and has been a pleasant suprise. So, for those that ... read more doubt this saw....im here to tell you that it has plenty of power and is allot easier to handle, due to the fact that it is allot lighter then the other options that stihl has. I LOVE ALL STIHL PRODUCTS & REFUSE TO USE ANY OTHER BRAND. I WILL BE FEATURING THIS PRODUCT ON MY YOUTUBE [email protected]

    Powerful, quiet Polesaw.
This saw was hard to get because nobody in the area could get them. After a few months, I found one, and snapped it up. I already had the HLA-65 hedge trimmer, and was sold on the Stihl battery products. My initial thought was that the saw was heavier than I expected, especially when it was extended to full length. That said, it is still a couple of pounds lighter than my low end gas pole saw. Once I got to actually use the saw on some trees, I was blown away by how well it cut. I was only ... read more trimming branches about 2 inches diameter about 15 feet off of the ground. This saw cut through them so easy it was a surprise. The branches were falling to the ground about a second after I put the saw to them. After about 5 minutes of use, I had a large pile of branches and limbs on the ground to dispose of. I thought I might use the pole saw to cut them shorter while they were on the ground, but that was difficult due to the weight being extended at the end of the pole. I may get the battery chainsaw some day to replace my Stihl Farmboss chainsaw. The battery equipment seems like the way to go for me.

The saw cuts very fast, power is not a problem
Just bought this saw today to trim some tall oaks around my cabin. The saw is heavy with the large battery but is well balance with included carrying strap. Saw cuts very fast using little power from the battery. I used the saw for over an hour going around trees trimming branch, the instant start and stop make for quick work and long battery life. The saw cost held me back for awhile, but this is a professional tool that is well designed and work extremely well. No ladder is needed to trim ... read more trees around a two story house.

    Quiet, Powerful
I have been considering the battery powered line of tools from Stihl, because I hate when a tool won't start. For tools that I use a lot, weed eater, blower, etc, this is not a problem. Even my small (021) chainsaw runs often enough so that I don't usually have a problem. But my hedge trimmer, and my large saw, don't get used all that often, and I am always concerned that I need to fully drain the tank, and carb each time I use them. So when I decided to get a pole pruner, I looked at the ... read more battery line again. It is more expensive to start. For the complete set, battery, charger and tool, it cost about 25% more, but now I have the charger, and a battery, so if I decide to replace another tool, I will definitely consider battery power. So on to the meat of the review: The saw has plenty of power for the trimming I was doing. I was trimming branches 6-8" in diameter, and it didn't bog down at all. I used it for about an hour (obviously not running the saw all the time), and I got tired before the saw did. When I finished up, I still had about half the battery left, according to the LED display. The saw was heavier than I would have liked, but still lighter than the gas powered unit, and handled pretty well, even reaching higher than I probably should have safely done. I like the quiet of the saw, if for nothing else, I could hear when the limbs were starting to crack, so that I could get out of the way. All-in-all, I am very pleased with the saw, and I will consider other electric tools from Stihl. I don't regret this purchase at all.

    the best there is
Sold my off brand lopper and just bought this high quality lopper attachment....bought the pp800 pole I believe and at 18 feet high cutting the branches is so easy I don't even have to use the 8ft step ladder anymore...the easy pull of the rope and instant cut is just so easy and its so heavy duty and yet lightweight....another too notch quality product from STIHL....! I always clean it with Stihl penetrating oil and the razor sharp cutter stays clean as new and the tree sap won't corrode or ... read more rust the lopper either...you won't believe how it is so easy to use and precise point of cut on the branch . Thanks STIHL!

    Great Product But......
Bought this Lopper Attachment for my PP800 Telescoping pole. The product is top of the line and definitely makes life easier and keeps me from having to climb trees to prune. However, there are a couple of issues that I had with my purchase. First of all, the unit shows an eyebolt to attach the rope too - had to purchase this myself which is ridiculous. I also did not like the quality of the rope supplied with the unit and so I went to Lowes and bought a 25ft section of 3/8" Twisted Poly Rope ... read more with a 3/8" Rope Clamp and Thimble Set. Once I attached the eyebolt, rope and clamp and thimble, I am very pleased with the Lopper Attachment. When you buy a Stihl product, you don't expect to have to buy other items in order to use the product. I believe that this needs to be looked into by quality control.

    They finally got it right
2019 HT 131 finally got it right. I believe the HT 133 was an attempt of Stihl trying to cut corners and maximize profits. It was a total disaster... HT 131 improved the cheap designs of HT 133 and made an extremely powerful and stable pole saw with a 14 inch 3/8 blade that kicks butt... If you buy Stihl's engine oil or gas mixture, you will double the warranty on the pole saw. That increase it to 4 years. I have become a Stihl man again.

    Awesome pole saw
Easy to start. Has always fired up on first or second pull of the rope. More than enough power. Will easily power thru twelve inch diameter limbs. Great fuel economy. Will run for around three hours of trimming before refueling. Sturdy shaft assembly. Does not flex much while trimming. Great saw for the money

Stihl brand is #1 for a reason.
As a homeowner I chose the HT 103 model because of the telescoping 16 foot reach. This new model has an easy to use shaft lock. Gloves on or off to do this. The chain bar oil refill works great, but this is a gloves off cap to open for me. That's ok...I'm not in a race to do this process anyway. Day one first time use, I would start it up and let it run for a while to break in. I had started the saw and it went dead a couple times. After this saw is warmed up (30 minutes or so) it is good to ... read more go. You won't have to ever do this again. This saw has never quit running after the day one process. I used it on day one without any readjustments. After day two I did tighten the chain a little which was easy to do with a half turn with the included wrench. I have now used this saw at the neighbors house and a few others... you can easily make your money back if you wanted to with this saw. For storing this saw. I hung two rubber coated hooks from the ceiling/wall of my shed. When I sat the saw on the hooks, the saw wanted to swing upside down. I don't want to store this saw upside down. So I reinstalled the hooks closer to the wall so the motor of the saw touches the wall keeping the saw upright. Overall. I love this saw. I will buy other Stihl products. The hedger and edger are next on my list.

    Cuts like a chainsaw
Bought the HT103 pole saw to remove a tree in my cannel after hurricane Irma. Wonderful saw that cuts thru 6" & 8" branches with ease. My electric pole saw started to smoke so it wasn't able to complete the job. Expensive but well worth it knowing the HT103 pole saw had the power to finish the job.

You Get What You Pay For
I have a 7 acre property with many trees that require pruning. I recently returned a 'disposable' pole saw from another manufacturer and decided to spend more money on the STIHL HT103 and I couldn't be happier! The durability and ease of operation are amazing. Additionally the reach provided by the telescoping action on this model makes it a breeze to get those higher branches. Disclaimer that I have only had a couple days of use on it but it has quickly become my new favorite. I am hoping that ... read more its longevity rivals that of my other STIHL purchases. One warning is that this saw is so easy to use and does such a good job that I found myself cutting ahead of what I could haul away to the burn pile! Overall a great product in a league of its own.

    Awesome Machine
Awesome engine design as a 4 stroke without a oil sump which has to use gas/oil mixture. Not sure how long this design has been on the market for durability but I'm giving its low end power and light weight an A+.

    Outstanding!
I've had a Stihl pro chainsaw for 25 years and it's super reliable, also have a Stihl gas leaf blower. Big fan of Stihl products. I bought this pole pruner to replace a lousy battery powered one that was always frustrating to use. This saw is very well balanced, starts easy and idles perfectly. The chain is staying tight and is quite amazing in cutting power. I've been trimming live oak limbs (dense and hard wood) and this powers right through. Unless I'm cutting down an entire tree, this is ... read more my go-to saw. I do have one complaint, the design of the engine housing needs to be improved. As it is now the saw can't easily be stored in a vertical position - it doesn't have a flat space to rest on. I always have to fiddle with it to get it to stay in one position. Stihl has not solicited my review - I'm just a happy owner. Oh, I'm also 70 years old, in fairly good physical condition and handling this saw is well within my capability.
