Excellent premix for my Stihl chainsaw and trimmer
This premix burns very clean in my Stihl chainsaw and Stihl trimmer. It is almost completely smokeless and comes in a steel can for long term storage. You do need to use a spout for the gallon can or it is messy. This is just common sense. I bought 4 quarts with my saw last year. Never put this fuel in plastic gas cans for storage. It will degrade quick The steel can cannot rust with premix fuel in it. Fuel degrades very quick in plastic cans. VP Racing Fuels says fuel can be stored in steel ... read more cans for years without degrading.

    Awesome When Used
I agree with concensus that Motomix is great product but not cheap. If your an occasional user it is MUCH cheaper than service and frustration of neglected carburetor or the mortal sin of accidently straight gassing! I only use ethanol free fuel and Stihl Ultra Synthetic Oil when mixing my gas (my local Country Mark Fuel has an ethanol free pump). I still use Motomix in my small blower and trimmer that sip fuel. I also put in my chainsaws to store for summer. Home town fire department uses ... read more Motomix to insure easy start of saws when needed and preventing accidentally filling from straight gas can.

    excellent product for your stihl
I use this fuel in my saws and weed wacker. Although it's a little more expensive then mixing your own fuel the perks of using this fuel are unbelievable. My saws only get used in the fall/winter months for firewood and after a full summer of sitting you can go out and fire them off with no hassle. Not only do they start right up they also run as if you just used them yesterday. Excellent work on stihls behalf.

    Best Option for Your Tools
Originally purchased this oil to extend the warranty on a new chainsaw and became hooked to the quality operation of all my stihl engines. This stuff is superb and will make all your 2-cycle engines reach peak performance. My three stihl tools chainsaw (MS 271), trimmer (FS 130), and blower (BR 600), all burn this oil and I have found it to be superb. I switch to the pre-mixed product for my last run each fall/winter. Use this oil - you will not be disappointed.

    Expensive but Impressive So Far
I stated using Stihl Ultra Synthetic 2 stroke oil last year. I use it not only in my Stihl equipment but also in equipment from other manufacturers. Previously, I was using the Stihl Premium 2 cycle oil and 91 octane gas. I stated having quite a few carb issues with this mix in the last 2 years so my dealer suggested given the Ultra version a try. Since I started using it, I have noticed: easier starts, better fuel efficiency, increased power and performance, and it appears to be cleaning out ... read more carbon deposits as it works as well. All in all, the oil is expensive but from my experiences, it seems to be worth it.

    HP Ultra oil
High Power Ultra oil. Absolutely amazing oil when mixed with 89/91 grade gasoline. I only use this oil in my Stihl equipment and REALLY makes a difference. The engines run SO smooth and clean and the gasoline seems to last longer too! I can not recommend this oil enough. Try it and you will the difference in the first run!

    Excellent Product
I have tried cheaper brands with poor results. This oil keeps the chain oiled and bar cooler.

Platinum Bar Oil is a CUT-ABOVE the Rest !
I was skeptical at first browse of this product. I thought, at the time, there was no good reason to swap from my many years of using Woodcutter Bar & Chain Oil. This is my first year using Platinum Bar & Chain Oil. What I have discovered is that it takes less overall quantity of this Oil to achieve the same level of lubrication provided by it's predecessor. Another benefit is this Oil is not as temperature-sensitive as the Woodcutter Bar & Chain Oil is. In other words, it will perform ... read more satisfactorily at somewhat lower temperatures before you ultimately need to switch over to Winter Bar & Chain Oil. It will take you some time to get used to having less visible Oil on your Chain, but the proof of proper lubrication is a cool-running Bar that isn't burning the paint off! However, if you have one of the newer Saws, be prepared to turn-up the Oil Quantity setting to near maximum level...even when using Platinum Bar & Chain Oil. I found the "E" setting on my new MS-362,461, & 661 to be too lean with 20", 25", & 32" Bars, respectively. So, I guess this means that the Woodcutter Bar & Chain Oil may be an unsatisfactory choice for proper lubrication on the newer Saws with lower-volume Oil Pumps & newer Bars with smaller Oil Delivery Holes.

    My favorite 2 cycle oil
This oil is excellent. My Stihl equipment runs so much better with this oil. I recommend this oil to anyone.

    Great Non-Synthetic Oil
I purchased this oil to use with my first Stihl tool (hedge trimmer that was well used 12 months a year in Miami). I was impressed with the ease of use with the pre-measured containers and the performance in the machine. I’ve used it with 93 Octane and with 100LL Aviation Fuel with great results. It seems to protect the motors in the hot weather of South Florida without any issues and the price is right. I have since discovered the HP Ultra Synthetic which I run now after buying the 2 Stihl ... read more tool to extend the warranty. The HP Ultra is marginally more expensive but seems to smoke less. I’ve never had an issue with the High Performance oil so it’s lived up to its claims of protecting the machine, but for me, the slightly more expensive HP Ultra is the way to go for my equipment. That being said, the STIHL High Performance oil outperformed all the other oils I’ve tried to that point. I’m never using the Huskie brand oil ever again in any machine I will or do own again and I’m not sure you would be able to find a better Natural Dinosaur Juice Oil for your 2-stroke.

    Wonderful product.
Started using this oil when I bought my first stihl chainsaw in 2004 . love it ! Have never had any problems with it . where I live the synthetic oil cost about the same but I still use HP oil. See no need to change . Unless you have a 4-mix engine this oil will work great .

    This can is TOUGH!
This can will withstand the wear & tear of working in the woods. The cap is a bit hard to remove because of the serrations on it that are designed to keep it from working loose, but a little practice makes it easier. The handles make it easy to dispense or carry. One should make certain they depressurize the contents prior to fueling. Pressurization can result due to exposure to heat. Failure to do so may cause a rapid, unwanted ejection of fuel. This may be accomplished by depressing the ... read more plunger briefly before tipping the can for fueling. I suggest an optional model marked or colored for TWO-CYCLE MIX.

    Best cans ever
I now own five of these cans. I use them for fueling all my equipment. The reason I have so many is that I keep extra fuel on hand for our generator due to outages. I also put them on the trailer for snowmobile trips up north. They are excellent and don't leak at all. They don't even leak when hauled around in the back of my truck. The best thing is that you can position them properly and then just press the button to start the flow of fuel. No more messes!

Best fuel container on the market hands down.
I have purchased ten of these containers, 4 one and one quarter gallon, 4 of the five gallon and 2 of the two and one half gallon size. They work just as described. No spill I donated seven of these and kept a 1 1/4 and 2 fives for my self. On my fives I usually put in 3 to 4 gallons as it is easier to lift. and then as I empty one I can switch to the other one for my mower and pressure washer. I like the 1 1/4/. The small nozzle is just right for my chain saws, blower, edger and weedeater.

Winter Bar & Chain Oil Will Flow When Your Coffee's Frozen !
I use Winter Bar & Chain Oil in place of Platinum Bar & Chain Oil on the coldest of cutting days. The summer Oils will turn to molasses or jello at some point. The end result of that could be a "toasted" Bar! If you are still using Woodcutter Bar & Chain Oil, your switch-over to Winter Bar & Chain Oil should occur sooner as it thickens quicker than Platinum Bar & Chain Oil will at a given temperature. Remember, the newer Saws deliver less Oil to the Bar & Chain than the older models do, so ... read more your switch-over point may be more critical depending which Oil & Saw you have. Stihl, please color-code these Oils so we know what is in our Saw!!!

    For the really cold days
I keep a quart around for the really cold days. In all honesty when the saw is warmed up I just run the Platinum Bar Lube and I haven’t had any issues. For the really really cold days this does flow better through the pump and onto the bar. It protects well but I switch when the temperature gets above 20F.
