Greatest Product for Fall Clean-Up since Sliced Bread
I have used different blower/shredder vacs in the past and I decided to purchase the Stihl equivalent and found the difference to be amazing. There is quite a difference in the suction and shred ability when using the Stihl. The Stihl puts about 5 bags of un-shredded leaves into on bag of Stihl shredded leaves. While the blower strength is about the same, with the Stihl, I don't have to lug a cord around and am not limited to the length of the cord. I love my new Stihl so much that I was showing ... read more it to my neighbor and a couple of days later he came over and asked to borrow it. After using it he thought the same thing I did and said that he was going to get one for himself.

    easy to start
the blower is very easy to start. My 13 yr old daughter starts and uses the blower while we mow the lawn. I previously had a Ryobi and it was a good machine. I anticipated that the Stihl would have more power than the Ryobi; it does not. It is sufficient for our needs, but not any better for the few more dollars that I spent. I do believe it will last longer than the Ryobi

No time is wasted trying to start this blower. Life is short use your time well.
The easy-start BG 56 C-E blower is the best blower I have ever purchased because it is the easiest starting blower ever. It always starts on the first or second pull of the starting cord.

    Great product for retired people
I first got the weed eater with a smaller battery, went to buy a bigger battery and decided I could use a blower too. It’s nice to have interchangeable batteries. I usually have both batteries on chargers in the detached garage, so they are always ready to go. Easy to use for 58 and 81 year old women on 3 acres of land. No problems with the blower which is often used to blow grass clippings off the road. The weed eater was worked on right at Rural King, fixed once, then replaced free of charge, ... read more well nobody can beat that! I’m a Stihl fan!

    Great product for a homeowner
I have previously had two other battery blowers, but this is th BEST. It lasts longer on a charge than Black and Decker and IWORK. It has great power, and is very easy to use around our yard. more power than our previous blowers. I received a good deal on it at our local Ace Hardware store. My wife is happy that I am no longer mad at the lawn blower. Thanks

Lightweight and portable but battery runs out too quickly
I bought this a little over two months ago and it worked great. I use it at home to blow the front and back yard; the battery has never lasted long enough to complete the entire job but I could plan on getting half of the job done before I needed to charge. Lately, the last two weeks, the battery has been running out faster than usual. I used to count on finishing either the front or back yard and having a little batter life left; lately the battery isn't lasting as long and leaves the job 90% ... read more complete. I visited the Stihl dealership I bought the product from and learned their idea of warranty included me being without a blower until they make a decision and come to a resolution. If I had bought this at Home Depot I would have just returned the product...buyer beware. I've bought two products from Stihl, both on the same day, and feel like a fool for doing so.

    Great two in one product
Both blower side and vac side work great. Bag could be bigger, maybe a backpack style bag with a larger capacity. I have a large mature oak trees and works great in and around the flower beds. However, it does not like the acorns. I have a lot of Sthil products, two chain saws, a weed trimmer, and now the blower vac. Great long lasting of my chain saws is 42 years old and still works great. I'd like to see Sthil make a good snow blower . I highly recommend this product.

Excellent Vac/Blower with power to spare!
I purchased the SH86C-E early this past Spring and used it weekly all Summer long. I have four other STIHL Hand Held blower/vacs and they keep getting better. I run Premium Gasoline with STIHL HP Ultra Oil and it starts first or second pull every time! I use mine mainly as a Vac, and it picks up everything I have tried it on,even wet leaves. I HIGHLY recommend the SH86C-E Blower/Vac to anyone that appreciates PREMIUM QUALITY equipment that only comes from owning a STIHL!

excellent blower - hard to start
I had the equivalent model for 8 year before it need to be replaced. The old model and the new model blowers both do the job as expected. I have not used the vac feature on the new model yet. The older model always stared easily. I am disappointed that the new unit is hard to start especially when warm. Last night after the unit had been idle for about 15 minutes I could not get is started again. I had to finish the job with my wife's battery powered blower. I would have given 5 stars if it was ... read more easier to start.

    Needs Compression Release for Starting
The BR 350 leaf blower has very good power and can really move a large pile of leaves. The engine runs quite smoothly and the throttle control is very convenient. The weight of the unit is acceptable. My only complaint is with starting. The compression is so high that the starting cord is hard to pull and it is difficult to stabilize the unit during starting. I can manage the pull and start the blower, but my wife cannot. I have a high-compression Husqvarna chain saw that has a compression ... read more release, which makes a huge difference in starting. Stihl should consider adding this feature for their consumer units being sold to homeowners.

    This blower does the job.
Bought the BR 350 a year ago. It has plenty of power to do what I need done around my home. It is on the heavy side, but I do not know how one would make it lighter. Too bad the attachment to blow out the gutters on the house will not work with this blower, or any other backpack blower. It seems like the power this unit has would make an ideal gutter cleaner. I am very satisfied with this product.

A very versatile blower for the money!!!
In the market for a new backpack blower look no further than the stihl BR 350. This blower has all the power you need plus some. This blower will blow grass clippings, dirt and leaves with no problem. This blower is very versatile and very powerful all in a great priced blower. This blower does not vibrate at all. Its weight is very well balanced and honestly, I forget it is on my back after using it for a while. I got a great deal on this blower at youngs true value for a great deal because I ... read more traded my old (other commercial brand) piece of junk for this bad boy. Less Time
Brought the blower home and started using it right away. Frist impression is what a time saver. In a matter of a few minutes I had move more leaves than what would have taken about 15 or 20 minutes with my old blower. I bought the blower for home use and do not have any regrets. I would recommend this product to any home owner wishing to save time in the yard.

Good Blower, but could use some User Improvements
Good Blower with good power, however it could be much better if Sthil made improvements to make it easier to put on to hold the straps together so they do not slide off your shoulders. I use a Carabiner Clip to hold straps together, once on. Also, once on, and the blower shuts off, you have to remove to start again. Stihl should modify the blower so it can be started while wearing it. Stihl should consider these updates...why have a good blower, when they could have an outstanding blower!

    Excellent power, shoulder straps lacking
I have several other Stihl power products but when my old backpack blower recently broke I replaced it with the BR600. The BR600 has excellent power, easy to start, and has cut my leaf blowing time considerably. My only complaint is the shoulder strap setup is very uncomfortable compared to my old blower. The shoulder straps are to thin and tend to twist and the padded sections are to narrow. I find myself spending too much time readjusting the straps while operating the unit.

    Met all expectations
The vacuum kit for my BG 56 C-E worked exactly as advertised. It was easy to understand, assembly, and use. I got initial help from the dealer to ensure that I knew how to attach and remove the vacuum kit on the blow power head. It was easy to develop a technique for vacuuming the leaves and pine needles but leave behind the mulch. This is a great tool to finish of the Fall leave collection business.

    Great multi-function product
I'm almost 70 years old. I have 4 large oaks in the yard. I could only use the vac mode for about an hour before I was worn out. I finally used bungie cords to attach the vac to an old flat cart and arranged the bag to hang from the handle. Now I don't carry the bag, I don't carry the vac, I just pull the cart and swing the pick-up tube through the leaves, empty the bag, keep it fueled-up and can work for at least 4 hours.
