very robust , i hate snow but i'm kind of hope we get some
i've spent years using a combination of hoes squeegees and wet vacs to try and remove wet mud slippery algae and small weeds from on and around our garden centre, benches and paths it reduced the slip risks even from my wooden decking,

This is the answer to removing driveway stones out of grass!
With a record amount of snow we had this year we had a record amount of stones up and down every drive we own. Raking would take weeks! Did some research and found this power sweep. It was an answer to our problem. This sweep will remove stones and trash from grass Period. Wish I found it years ago!

    good for snow
i purchased for snow. does a very good job for 5 inches or less. better than getting out the snow blower and easier. the powersweep is also good for a squeegee, move acorns and other junk from the the lawn. love this thing.

I think it will last forever
When pulling it de- thatches like a monster, going forward isn't nearly as effective. It's also great for mixing up the compost pile. I've used it after broadcasting seeds too and had the best cover crops ever after doing that. After a couple years it's still as good as new. I kinda expected some of the tines to bend or break but it's stihl so im not sure why i thought that would happen.

This attachment was perfect for my yard.
I was going to rent a detatcher, but I decide to buy this instead. I have not detatched my yard in 20 years. This machine cleaned the yard perfectly. My biggest problem was getting rid of the 50, 55gal bags, of dead grass.

    Perfect
Perfect for all jobs. Bristles are extremely tough. I've used this from street cleaning to de-thatching the lawn. Tough product and I expect many years of use.

    could be better
As with all Stihl products, the multi-task trimmer is a good quality product. It is reliable in every way except a couple of things that are common among string trimmers. The string breaks off inside the housing too often and it is a hassel to constantly be stopping to re-thread the string back through the housing holes. The other part that frustrates me is the method of advancing the string by bouncing it on the ground. It just doesn't work very well. I end up having to bounce several times it ... read more seems to get the string to advance. Otherwise I would still rate it better than my old brand of trimmer.

Everything i expected from a stihl, the precision and reliability is awesome. I have owned every brand and this beats them 10 fold.

    Mostly good
I used on about 1000 sq ft of lawn. My lawn is 30 years old and the soil is dobe clay. None of the original compost remains in the soil It took me about 3 hours. I am 74 but in pretty good shape. It slots are about 1 1/2 inches deep which I think is about right. It cuts the slots fairly close together so I had to be careful and not be over the same area twice or it striped out the turf. Had to work it back and forth a little to get the depth I needed. It ripped out a lot of the old dry grass and ... read more did a reasonable amount of thatching too. I had some weeds hidden under the grass and those were exposed and easy to remove. I expect it will take 4 to 6 weeks for the turf to recover but It really needed it. I have one area where I reseeded within two months. I had to be really careful on that area. I did the job for less than it would have been to rent a plug type and the tool still is like new. very tough and easy to install. Don't do it if you are having a lawn party soon. wait until after. I think it would have been better to do it early spring then follow with heavy fert.
