Works great all around trimming bushes, brush, and even trees
It really is a great all around product. It will easily cut through pencil thick branches or brush like it is nothing. You can pretty easily cut 3/8" think material. I have even used it to cut through larger than 1/2" thick pieces. The larger pieces just take a few seconds. It works great for cutting everything from grass to brush and even small trees. It doesn't throw debris even an inch which is nice if you are working around other people or mulch beds. The edges are very sharp. Even after ... read more several hours of use trimming trees cutting grass looks like you used scissors. It did an amazing job on my neighbors out of control multifloral rose bushes that are 7' tall and 60 feet long. The angle adjustments are quick and easy to use. Changing positions can be done without clipping the harness in 2 seconds. It is possibly to adjust the angle further towards 90 degrees than there are positions for. The first time I did this accidentally when I started trimming again there was a slight gear whining sound. I stopped to check what was causing it and found that I had adjusted it past the first position. No damage was done though. I highly recommended it. The only reason I would see to get the adjustable hedge trimmer attachment over this is if you had lots of evergreen hedges to cut and wanted the cutting edge to reach across the entire hedge in once pass. For anything else I think you'll be happier with the power scythe over the hedge trimmer.

    Just get it!
Wanted a tool to clear tall grass, cat tails, small brush you name it. This thing is unbelievable. Takes and cuts anything that fits it the cutting slots. Bought this and the chain saw pole pruner. Theres nothing that I can't clean up. JK

Bought this for underwater grass/weed control in a pond - works great, just keep the grease level full!

Useful unit, but out of reach of the weekend home business
Very good unit, however the return on the unit (especially if you need the bristle broom & paddle) means you will be cleaning for a very long time to pay off. Would be good if the bristles and paddles were interchangeable.

Having a 1/4 mile gravel driveway has its challenges. Raking rocks back onto the driveway after plowing snow all winter is the biggest. Up until this spring, a hand rake took maybe 40 hours to get it done - and it wasn't perfect. Finally retiring and being able to walk my dogs daily, I got to know my remote neighbors. One neighbor one mile away was out working with his new PowerSweep. I couldn't believe what it was doing. His wife came over and explained what it was. The first Stihl dealer I ... read more went to was a disappointment - he didn't know he didn't have one in stock - then told me he would have one the next day - then told me they were out of stock - called other Stihl dealers within a 25 mile radius and no one had one. So, I called Bob Lord at Bullion Sales. He said he had one in stock. I told him to hold it - I would be there in 20 minutes. I was there in 20 minutes and bought it. I ran like a charm right from the get go - I did my whole driveway in about 6-8 hours - a minimum 32 hour savings. And it did a better job. I haven't tried the tiller attachment yet - but I am assuming it will do a great job on smaller jobs. I have larger tiller for big stuff - but it isn't used much anymore because it is too big for maintenance work. The whole unit was a bit pricey, but I bought a Stihl backpack blower 17 years ago which still runs as good as the day I bought it. I can say the same for my Stihl chainsaw and grass trimmer. I like to use my tools to do the job - not have to repair them. I am not disappointed with Stihl. The only issue with Stihl that I know of is when I bought my Road Crew at work two premium chainsaws. One of the guys ran over one of the saws with a huge truck. As good at Stihl products are, they lose in a fight with a 10 ton truck.

    Clean rock of the lawn
After each winter the snow plow leaves rocks, etc. on my lawn. The attachment works very well. It does take a lot of strengh to run it for a very long time, but I can sweep 100 feet in about 15 minutes. I would recommend it, works well on loose rock too.

    Revitalized my KM 55 R
I have an older Kombi KM 55 R from around 2011. When I bought it I also bought the curved edger attachment (The older silver model). I live in FL and have a pretty established yard of St. Augustine with at least a 3 inch pile. I wrestled with the curved edger for years while it bogged down and bounced all over the place. This year I had had it. I contemplated just buying a whole new stand-alone edger but figured I'd give this a shot first. Let me say that I actually *enjoyed* edging for the ... read more first time in years. It tore through all the problem areas that would normally kill the engine of my KM 55 R. It is a little expensive but it's worlds apart from the silver versions IMO. Be sure the model you get is the one with orange blade guard.

    Very impressed with this tool!!!
I bought a foreclosure last year and put off doing the edging because all i had was an electic edger, I have around a 1/2 mile of edging to do, i was dredding doing it. I bought a KM130 powerhead with the straightshaft edger and expected to spend most if not all of my day off doing edges. i am happy to say that it only took me about an hour to get the edges crisp and looking good. It took me longer to clean up than it did to do the work. I cant wait to fire up my 130 and put it to work again. I ... read more will be buying more attachments so i can use it more often.... Thank you Stihl for making an awesome product.

    straightline fast edger
I had years of growth over the edge of my sidewalks...this straight shaft edger made this job so simple..fast...and easy as well! This is a must have if you have side walks and grass on one side of them...you won't regret this and purchase the km-130r head...its so powerful and won't bog down!

    Excellent
Use this on the property I manage for the artificial golf green. Referred to as a power broom, it does what it says. Great for in-fill, daily cleaning, and removing moss/fungus from the turf. Green is spotless after one pass. I couldn't believe how well it worked. Has quick release pins for changing/cleaning bristles, very nice feature. I run it on a 130r, has enough power to make me catch my balance when I'm not holding it right. Can't get it to bog down no matter how hard I try. It is heavy ... read more and a little awkward at first.

    Awesome addition
I saved myself some money and purchased the bristle kit as I already had the powerbroom attachment. I love the power broom. It seems I will like this unit just as much. Great for sidewalks, polebarn, sand out of grass, and even filling holes in a gravel driveway. I did find that with the 90r powerhead the unit does bog down quite a bit. I will solve this problem with my future purchase of a 130 powerhead

Power Brush with so many uses
I got this brush with a 110 power head for synthetic turf installations. It is the absolute best available for that purpose but have since found so many other uses! First and foremost, to use on synthetic turf or to power rake or de-thatch living grass, you must remove the guard (I'm not sure why it is needed in any application, lawyers probably just wanted one) and connect it to the power head "upside down." This spins the brush in reverse so it now floats on the surface causing perfect ... read more distribution of infill for turf and causes no harm to living grass while removing everything, thatch, sticks, mulch, anything not rooted. Note that you are now "pulling" the brush. Again its floating so practically weightless in operation. Also we've learned to feather the throttle to "walk it" forward along the surface so the shoulder strap is unnecessary (and now lost) for either of these applications. As for "normal" or right side up applications, it is a bit heavy and has a learning curve in this "push" mode but works better than a pressure washer to clean the dust from my rock piles from any hard surface. I also use it for snow removal. For any dry snow storm up to six inches or wet snow under three inches, it is faster for sidewalks than three guys with shovels. And unlike ATVs goes anywhere. It is not that effective with deep or wet snow however.

    Great Bed edger!
I have had the bed redefiner for 1 month now. It was challenging at first to get use to the fact of going in reverse, but you will get the hang of it quickly. We use this unit on all of our properties now. Our customers love what it does and how much better it makes their beds look. I would recomend this to anyone in the landscaping industry or even to the homeowner who loves to do yard work and is proud of their final product.

    Real Time saver
I am a homeowner with over 2,000 ft of bed edges. Over time erosion and frequent rain can flatten or fill in the edges of flower beds allowing grass to migrate into the mulch. The Bed Redefiner allows for frequent dressing of the edge without using a shovel or the need to remove dirt or excess mulch. It is simple to use and saves time by cutting a nice edge and pulverizing the excess dirt. When redressing a edge that has been mulched, this tool creates a nice groove and allows the mulch to fall ... read more back to the edge without the need for excessive raking. I suggest running an edger to create a defined cut through the grass and then run the redefined following this newly cut line. I get perfect results using this method.

    This is a great tool
I have most of the tools to fit the KombiSystem and by far this on is the most rewarding. The job it does is hard to believe and with ease. I should have bought this sooner but thought it was expensive for an edger. I'm hear to tell, you won't be disappointed. I would recommend it to everyone.
