Hand Pruning Saws

For clean and smooth cuts made by hand

STIHL Precision Series™ pruning saws are made for those times when hand...
STIHL Precision Series™ pruning saws are made for those times when hand pruners or loppers – or even power saws – just won’t cut it. Our pruning saws are ergonomically designed, delivering the quality you need to take down small branches and limbs. And each saw comes with a limited lifetime warranty, so you don’t have to be shy about muscling up on those high-carbon steel blades.

The blades are specially designed to cut on the pull stroke, unlike many other hand saws. And STIHL pruning saws are available in fixed and folding blade styles as well as straight and curved blade designs – each one specially shaped and ground to precisely “glide” through the wood, creating a clean, smooth cut. From small 5.75” blades to large 16” blades, there’s a hand saw with your landscape’s name on it.

    Great Little Saw
I bought this saw from our local Stihl dealer. I thought I would take it camping and backpacking but as it turns out, I use it around the house to cut small branches when pruning tress, etc. The blade cuts very efficiently. It does back well for camping too.

TOP-SHELF Pruning Saw that is the BEST-OF-THE-BEST !
I've been using saws like this all of my life. This one is the best-of-the-best. I recognized this Saw as coming from a vendor known as the source of the best arboriculture hand tools in the world. This Saw has a Sheath that will adequately protect the Blade & the user. Exercise care when using this Saw as the Teeth are extremely sharp. The Blade's life is dependent upon how well you keep it from ground contact & clean. Sap & pitch build-up, combined with dirt, will dull the Teeth. I recommend ... read more citrus-based cleaners or acetone to remove contaminants. If you care for this tool, it will last you a long time! Wear leather gloves. Stihl, I suggest adding the Model number "PS 90" to the Sheath & Saw so that others can readily identify the product.

    Fast, super clean cuts
I am a groundskeeper for a small elementary school, so we are very sensitive to how we budget our time and money. The Stihl PS 90 Arboriculture Saw is far from the cheapest saw on the market, but has certainly proved itself to be a worthwhile investment. As a saw, it makes fast, super clean cuts, and no matter what we use it on, the blade cleans up very easily and quickly. The leg scabbard with its thumb lock is also important as we need the blade to be secured while walking around the campus. ... read more Only time will tell how the plastic roller holds up.

    I'm a gardener
This is a awesome saw. I where it on my belt everyday. Looks highly professional. Mine is 3 years old. Cuts so perfect and clean. I have another one on my kubota rtv for clearing trails. It's also perfect for backpacking. You will be more than pleased.

    Great hand saw
There are days when I would rather hear the birds and the water rather than a chainsaw motor. On those days this saw is absolutely amazing to have. The blade on the saw is replaceable and the handle and sheath are well constructed. Overalll it is a great item.

Perfect hand saw for trimming limbs.
I've had my PS 60 Pruning Saw for the last five years and it is still as sharp as when I bought it! It has a very comfortable hand grip and seems to be just at the right angle to make cutting almost effortless. The saw carrier is well made and easy to wear on your belt. If you don't want to get the chainsaw out to cut small branches, get yourself one of these,it's a real time saver.

Very Convenient And Handy For Tree Trimmers
I have used these saws for years while trimming. These saws are not so long as to hinder a climber as he's making his way through the canopy of a tree and tight crotches.

    GREAT Handsaw for low branches!
I purchased the PS 70 saw to trim dead branches on my many Colorado Blue Spruce trees. I also purchased the leather carrier with it to attach to my belt. The saw has served me well for the last five years and still is very sharp! Very good saw for the price.

    Very Sharp Hand saw.
I use this to limb live oaks within reach in my yard. It works very well. I have cut branches up to 4 inchs and it worked flawlessly. It is light weight and extremely sharp. Mine states that it was made in Japan and the quality shows it. The blade has not bent even when a limb’s weight pinches it. The blade’s angle allows for powerful cutting stroke without putting your weight down. This allows the blade to do the work and reduces the chance of a pinch or bend. Since I am cutting wet wood ... read more I will tell you that you need to clean the blade before storage to avoid rust and gum-ups that will cause it to pinch.

    Superb Pruning Saw
I own a 40+ acre property in the mountains of North Central Washington State with thousands of trees (aspen, ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, cottonwood, etc.). I purchased this pruning saw to trim the lower branches of the trees (in wildfire country we call them "ladder fuels"). This saw cuts cleanly and quickly through branches up to 3" in diameter, whether dry, wet or green. I also purchased a Stihl 900 Pole pruner to take care of larger and higher branches (the widow-makers). That allows me to ... read more cut branches and trim trees up to 15 or more feet off the ground. I have 4 Stihl chain saws and several other Stihl products. All are of superb quality (German engineering) and reliable. You never go wrong with a Stihl.
