MS 150 T C-E

MS 150 T C-E
A professional arborist chainsaw that is ultra lightweight and loaded with STIHL features.
For in-tree professional use only.

Product Description

The STIHL MS 150 T C-E features durability and portability, exclusively for in-tree professionals. This lightweight powerhead weighs only 5.7 pounds and features Easy2Start™ technology for smooth starts. Ideal for arborists, the MS 150 T C-E chainsaw is easy to carry, and its top-handle design is easy to maneuver. The result is less operator fatigue, which can result from use of heavier saws. It also features reduced exhaust emission technology and enhanced fuel efficiency as compared to traditional 2-stroke engines, which means fewer fill-ups and fewer interruptions to your work. This is how STIHL makes ultra-lightweight chainsaws: The right way.

Model Features

  • STIHL Easy2Start™ (E)
The STIHL Easy2Start™ system makes starting STIHL outdoor power tools almost effortless, eliminating the need for a strong pull of the starting cord. This advanced starting system is designed to make starting STIHL products easier. The specific system may vary by model, but in each case, a quick pull overcomes the engine’s compression to minimize the strength and effort required to start. Available on selected products.
  • Purge Pump Primer
The purge pump primer feature enables the user to prime the carburetor with fuel, enabling easier starting. The purge pump primer is designed in a way that the operator cannot flood the machine by priming the carburetor too many times. Flooding the engine is still possible if the choke is not removed after the engine turns over.

    See it in action!
  • Top handle (T)
The top-handle model is specially designed for in-tree professional use only!

Reviews

MS 150 T C-E is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Little one that could Little tree saw is handy for in tree pruning. Plenty of power, narrow chain is very useful. It continues to surprise me with its power/weight ratio.PROBLEM: I was shocked by how poorly written and badly translated the Owner's Instructions were. The illustrations frequently were confusing or wrong.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great saw if not kept at factory specs Bought the saw a few months ago after a coworker bought one. Out of the box and after 2 trips to the dealership it barely cut. It would take 2-3 min of straight cutting to warm up, this is unacceptable while in the tree in my opinion. The throttle would have to be released for it to recover from overloading. The biggest thing I could cut would be 3 inch branch and it would seriously struggle with that. Most of the time my handsaw was a better option for cutting bigger branches. Bore/plunge cutting was just about impossible. After bringing it to the dealership with my coworkers 150 t c-e we found that his was running faster then spec out of the box and cut way better. We turned up my saw to that much and it now is an incredible saw that can take anything I can throw at it with no problem, and warms up way faster.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big saw in a little package I purchased this saw for pruning and limbing but I find myself cutting logs up to 10" rather than getting out my 036. It starts and runs good with lots of power. The only problem I have had is the bar stud stripped out of the case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Compact Saw This saw has dramatically increased my productivity. I am not a professional tree climber so no in tree use for me but I wanted a high quality saw for limbing out felled trees quickly. I am surprised by how much wood I can cut in a short time frame. I considered a small homeowner type saw but the extra few bucks gave me a lightweight, durable workhorse that reduces fatigue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good saw Bought the saw for climbing...needless to say every time we have felled a tree one of us grabs it for limbing. A 6-8 inch limb is a piece of cake for this thing it's capable of more, one will have patience to let it cut the larger limbs...very easy to use with very little stress to the operator easy to start beautiful little saw. It's a spendy little saw but after you use it you'll find that it's worth it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Constantly Breaking I've been running this saw professionally for almost 1 year. It's application is strictly the pruning of branches 4" diameter and smaller. It is used by owner/operator both in areal lift truck and climbing. In that time there have been an exceptional number of breakdowns. 1) Muffler screen plugged up after two weeks; remove and discard. 2) Top handle broke where it flares into the carburetor housing. 3) Dime-sized hole developed in oil tank near the dawgs. 4) Plastic starter gear on the flywheel stripped out, presumably because the pawls rub on it while running. 5) Annular buffer failed. 6) Roller nose on guide bar failed. This saw was never abused...normal professional use. Synopsis: Saw is constructed of thin materials to cut down on weight, making it prone to breaking.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not a great saw for the money ok so im on my second one, the first one lasted about 1 year ran well but had problems from ground problems too the flywheel problem. I did notice when I took it apart that there was almost no wear marks on cylinder. just bought my new one. It has the original chain on it, and it died today. cool little saw for way to much money. these saws have a key built into the flywheel its aluminum and breaks easy. plan to spend a hundo on that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This saw is great Love this light weight saw...Will handle anything.. I have cut trees down 8 inches thick. it's suppose to be a limb saw, but is way more than that... I have to watch my self or I won't pick up my big saw at all... Wife loves how light weight it is and I do aswell.. save your back.. Its a bit pricey, but the first time you use it , you forget how much it was... I love it.
