    No guts. No glory
I wish I had gone to a better dealer who knew the Stihl product line. The MS 193T was not really the saw I was looking for and a better dealer would have told me that. Instead I talked to a salesman who was flippant and poorly informed. Don't get me wrong it is a good saw, but not the one I should have bought. I wanted a saw with better power for bigger jobs. I was clearing hurricane debris and needed a saw with some guts to it for the big job I had ahead of me. Instead I got a saw that is ... read more designed for lighter work up in a tree taking out branches. That is what this saw is good for. It is a light weight saw you can use with one arm, but don't expect it to take on bigger jobs.

    Lightweight little screamer
Bought this saw last week. Have a Stihl extendable pole saw but needed something for in tree work. Starts right up on 1st or 2nd pull. Ditched the low kickback chain and put a yellow chipper chain on it. Rips right through 8 inch limbs like they're not even there. Sips gas and bar oil. Used it to also buck up some fallen limbs. Very manuveurable and light as a feather. Get one of these and you'll be as surprised as I was. Great saw at a reasonable price

Perfect for all small tree trimming.
I own 2 other stihl chainsaw for taking down trees. Have cleared lots for homes with them. But purchased this cheap little saw for all the fire wood and just to take branches off of some trees. It starts super easy and cuts logs I wood normally use my big saws on. Just a great saw for the price. Trees bigger than 8" I say a bigger saw for that. Now it will do bigger but I belive it could put it in some unnormel conditions. That's the reason they make a bunch of sizes. So get the right saw for your job.

    Love this chain saw!!!!
As a female I've been looking for a light weight chain saw that I could use when my husband & myself are cutting wood. I still can't start this saw. But with it weighing under 6 pounds I can use it for a long time. I love, love this saw it is exactly what I've been looking for. If anyone has shoulder problems or is older & has lost some strength. This saw is perfect for you. With it's 12 inch blade it is perfect for me to take off the limbs & cut up small to med size wood. You will be able to ... read more tell when you are trying to cut something to large for this saw.. That's when I stop. Its perfect for tree trimmers.

    Great Compact Saw
This saw has dramatically increased my productivity. I am not a professional tree climber so no in tree use for me but I wanted a high quality saw for limbing out felled trees quickly. I am surprised by how much wood I can cut in a short time frame. I considered a small homeowner type saw but the extra few bucks gave me a lightweight, durable workhorse that reduces fatigue.

Excellent for the occasional in-tree arborist.
Does the MS 150 have the power of the slightly larger models? No. But its miniscule weight & ease of use more than make up for that. It's so light, I've forgotten it was clipped to my saddle. If all I'm doing is delimbing, this saw is always my first choice. If I'm going to block-down the spar, then I'll take up my MS 192 T. Even if you're not in a tree, I'd recommend the MS 150 T for lots of ground work. Its lighter weight (both in a tree or on the ground) goes a long way in reducing fatigue ... read more ... and that means I get more work done.
