Product Description

What do you get when you combine a hardworking chainsaw with easy-to-use features? You get the STIHL MS 211 C-BE. This chainsaw takes all the low-emission and air-filtration technology of the MS 211 and joins it with two of our most popular comfort features: STIHL Easy2Start™, a system that starts the engine with just a light pull on the cord. Next is our Quick Chain Adjuster, which allows you to adjust the chain without tools. Now you can get power and comfort in one high-tech chainsaw. If you’re a homeowner who wants it all, STIHL has heard your call.

    More information

  • STIHL Easy2Start™ (E)
The STIHL Easy2Start™ system makes starting STIHL outdoor power tools almost effortless, eliminating the need for a strong pull of the starting cord. This advanced starting system is designed to make starting STIHL products easier. The specific system may vary by model, but in each case, a quick pull overcomes the engine’s compression to minimize the strength and effort required to start. Available on selected products.
  • Quick Chain Adjuster (QCA) (B)
The Quick Chain Adjuster (QCA) (B) allows the user to adjust the tension of the chain without the use of tools. This allows for easy chain adjustment.

  • IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor
The IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor is designed to automatically adjust the air/fuel ratio when the air filter becomes restricted or partially clogged and maintains the engine’s correct RPM. IntelliCarb™ uses air from the clean side of the air filter to control the diaphragm and flow of fuel. As the air filter becomes dirty and less air is available for the carburetor, the IntelliCarb™ system adjusts the fuel flow to compensate for the decrease in air flow. This is in contrast to typical carburetors that utilize this air from the “dirty” side of the air box.
  • Winter/Summer Shutter
The Winter/Summer Shutter allows the carburetor to operate at optimum temperature year-round and helps to prevent carburetor icing when working below 50°F (10°C).

MS 211 C-BE is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 167.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A powerful, easy to start saw for firewood, trail work, and post storm cleanup The ergostart makes this a two finger start even for a senior citizen with little arm strength. The saw comes with an 18" bar and can just handle that but for most tasks it cuts faster and is easier to control with the optional 14" bar. I have run chainsaws most of my adult life and own 3 larger Stihls but after a serious illness could not start even our venerable 024. The 211 with ergostart is a blessing - it let me get back to work outside on the next winter's wood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Starts great cold Starts great cold but have trouble restarting when warm. Afraid to put back on choke for fear of flooding unit. I wait until cool or leave running. Will ask salesman next timed I am in store what to do. Instructions are not the best in the booklet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good so far! MS211 my old saw died so I went looking for a new one. I don't do a lot of cutting but wanted something easy to start. I was intrigued by the easy start and like it a lot,. It is a little tricky to get the hang of it but once you do you will like it. I have a bad shoulder and this was the determining factor in the decision. My son has the H brand has never been satisfied with it's power. When his acted up he used my little saw and was impressed with it's cutting power and ease in starting. I hope I get it back! The Stihl 2 in 1 chain sharpener is a must it really does a nice job. The only thing I regret is that I didn't know that the 250 which is a bigger saw would be on sale for less than I paid for my 211

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst saw I have owned. I have had this saw for a couple years and it’s basically new still because it will never start. I am 6’4 230lbs and no matter what I do I have never been able to start this piece of expensive garbage. I bought this and a ms391 at the same time. My 391 is a breeze to start. I have taken both saws in for service. The service guy can get it to start. I’m annoyed because I need two different sized saws and I’m probably just going to throw this nice looking saw into the garbage because it should be called never start technology instead of EZ. Never buying your EZ start saws again. I have many other Stihl tools and this is by far the worst. I would happily take a late return for a not Ez saw...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw! Picked this saw up to replace a 20yo Craftsman that finally died. Luckily, I was able to use the craftsman case as the Stihl one is way over priced.Saw fires up in two or three pulls, once warmed up cuts like a champ.Bought a maint. kit so I dont have to hunt it down when the time comes. Also got an extra chain. Wanted the heavy duty chain until I saw the shocking price tag. I'll just burn through 6 of the regular chains, as opposed to paying for the HD version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good homeowner's saw This is a good, light weight saw with easy starting and good power. Good power and torque. It handled a 30" diameter tree with no problem. The chain tightening was super easy and the fueling and bar oil reservoirs are easy to access.
