    More information

  • STIHL Easy2Start™ (E)
The STIHL Easy2Start™ system makes starting STIHL outdoor power tools almost effortless, eliminating the need for a strong pull of the starting cord. This advanced starting system is designed to make starting STIHL products easier. The specific system may vary by model, but in each case, a quick pull overcomes the engine’s compression to minimize the strength and effort required to start. Available on selected products.
  • Quick Chain Adjuster (QCA) (B)
The Quick Chain Adjuster (QCA) (B) allows the user to adjust the tension of the chain without the use of tools. This allows for easy chain adjustment.

  • IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor
The IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor is designed to automatically adjust the air/fuel ratio when the air filter becomes restricted or partially clogged and maintains the engine’s correct RPM. IntelliCarb™ uses air from the clean side of the air filter to control the diaphragm and flow of fuel. As the air filter becomes dirty and less air is available for the carburetor, the IntelliCarb™ system adjusts the fuel flow to compensate for the decrease in air flow. This is in contrast to typical carburetors that utilize this air from the “dirty” side of the air box.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice Boat Anchor I purchased this product approximately a month ago. I lost a tree and had a lot of cleanup to do. I bought this saw because it received good reviews and it has the easy pull system. I'm old, and tired of fighting with starting junk. Boy did I buy the wrong saw. First off, when you start the saw the first saw it starts and runs great. When it's time to refuel and add oil you may as well put it away and be done for about 5 hours, because you'll never get it running again right away. YES, I followed the instructions to the letter many times. I even quit following the instructions but to no avail, no starting it untill it sits for awhile. I am new to this easy pull system but have a lot of experience running chain saws. I eventually hired someone to clean up the tree. Now I'm out quite a large sum of money between the cost of the saw, chains, and labor I paid others to do, because of a chainsaw not properly working. Stihl, you really failed me on this product. My Kombi works great, even after refueling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Saw! Awesome Saw!.. This is the first saw I have owned and its a good one. I use it around my house to trim and cut an occasional small load of wood. Starts easy and runs great. Lots of power and fun to use!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy Like a few others hard to start. When cold starts ok, but after a little use it gets hard to start and then sometimes not at all. Slow at cutting anything of size, apparently from small kerf as compared to a little larger saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw for Clean up and Camp Fire Wood Really like the saw as it is the perfect size for camping and cleaning up around the camp site for fire wood. My only complaint is trying to get my work boot covered foot into the handle when starting the unit while on the ground.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best chainsaw I have ever owned. This saw is the best I have ever owned. It starts extremely easy on the first pull. It runs and cuts very well and doesn't die. It will also start when hot on the first pull. I recommend the fuel mix and bar oil since it doubled the warranty.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaks oil, hard to start I want to like this chainsaw, but so far I'm disappointed. The bar oil leaks out the cap. The cap is on plenty tight. I took the saw to the mountain and was unable to use it because the bar oil had leaked out to almost empty between when I bought the saw and when I tried to use it approximately two weeks later. It's also hard to start. It's a good thing it has the spring assist on the starter because I have to crank on it for about 20 minutes before it finally starts. I've only trimmed a couple of trees with the saw and it cut great. But the above issues make me want to return it.
