    More information

  • IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor
The IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor is designed to automatically adjust the air/fuel ratio when the air filter becomes restricted or partially clogged and maintains the engine’s correct RPM. IntelliCarb™ uses air from the clean side of the air filter to control the diaphragm and flow of fuel. As the air filter becomes dirty and less air is available for the carburetor, the IntelliCarb™ system adjusts the fuel flow to compensate for the decrease in air flow. This is in contrast to typical carburetors that utilize this air from the “dirty” side of the air box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from toughest lil saw built I bought 2 and believe me they are underrated. I work mine 10 hours a day. And cut some pretty big trees. 14 inch across. I used to be a husqvarna man. But the last 30 years nothing but stihl. Love all 3 of my saws. 250 is a cutting machine to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems reliable Good little saw. I use to to fall trees bigger than it's intended for, don't clean the air filter like I should, and don't keep the chain as sharp as it should be. A few times I've spent all day cutting 18' logs. Don't expect much power, but it does well for what it's designed for. Saw is 1 year old and works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works , dependable Great saw for the money. Starts every time, low maintenance if you take care of it. Burns through 12in. Post oak and elm no problem. 180, 271, and the 391 are great pieces of equipment. I have 5 other saws from different manufacturers that will probably never leave the barn again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very dependable and light for the elderly: My 2 1/2 year old ms 180-c is still running strong. Just felt that I had better get another for back-up before winter sets in. Also I have a Farm Boss that is a hoss of a heavy duty chainsaw. It is 12 yrs old and strong as ever. Only Stihl at my farm.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This product is underpowered I bought a Poulan 16" saw 15 years ago when I was in college. I trimmed trees as a side business. The saw was cheap and did everything to cutting from small branches to entire trees. It spewed bar oil everywhere. Never did it not start. I decided to buy a "good saw" now that I have a good job and a house with lots of trees. So I bought this saw. I used it ONCE before so I decided to buy a new chain because I was going to cut 4 small trees and do some trimming. So the saw struggled all day to cut down the trees. Half way thru I had to buy another chain due to time because the new one I was using was smoking. Luckily that did the trick. But I must say I have done big jobs with my old poulan and Oregon chains never had to stop and re sharpen. Also it would bog down every once in a while but not like the Stihl. This saw is not worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine little saw What a surprise to find such power in this size saw! Lightweight and durable. I own an older Stihl comparable to the newer farm boss and this little saw will keep right up with it. Definitely recommend.
