    awsome product
This sharpener is a game changer. I have a professional bench mounted chain sharpener and this is now my goto for all my chain sharpening. I can sharpen my chain in half the time and do it in the woods rather than having to go back to the shop and all angels stay correct. It even takes the rakes to the proper size. I've told all the guys who's chains I sharpen about this. Pair this with a stump vice and you can easily sharpen chains anywhere. I use it every time I fill up with fuel just remember ... read more to flip your bar every couple times you sharpen.

    Excellent Sharpening System
I have all four of the five available system file: 1/4, 0.325, 3/8P & 3/8. All are very handy & do what is needed - with no electricity - very good for the field. The instructions were a little vague but a couple videos on-line took care or the issue. Having sharpened more than a few chains, I began to think about replacement files - two round & one flat file is needed per system. While the round files part number can be determined on the Stihl website, the flat file has eluded identification ... read more under the chainsaw file sub-directory. I really expected Stihl to create a single part numberor the three replacement for each 2in1 file system offered. Regardless, this tool is very astutely designed & is definitely worth recognition. Kudos to Stihl!

i quit using my electric chain grinder
i bought one for my 3/8 chain and tried using the 2n1 and i took my chain grinder off the bench and will get rid of it soon . the 2n1 sharpens a chain in less than 5 minutes without the heat the grinder puts on the cutters . i have since then bought one for my 325 chain . i also have the timberline sharpener and the granberg file n guide and prefer the 2n1 over all the others

    raker gauge is spot on
Bought this tool in 3/8,.325,3/8 picco for each of my saws. The hard setting on the raker gauge is spot on for me on oak, have not used the soft side of the guage. This is a high quality tool made well. Used it a lot and can still read the words soft and hard on the raker guage. Would highly recommend this to any one who hand files their saw chain.

It Works Better Than Your Eyesight !
The Stihl File Guide, when used with the FF1 File Guide Holder, will produce a uniformly sharpened chain with the proper angles required. It takes all of the "guess work" out of correctly sharpening your chains. DVD: The picture is worth a thousand words! SUGGESTION: Stihl should produce an online tutorial for ALL products here on the or sites. This would eliminate having to provide a DVD with very basic products. Having access to a tutorial for major products sure ... read more would reduce a lot of confusion on the part of consumers and headaches for servicing dealers! Makes sharpening easy
I bought this after trying to file my chains by eye or use different tools with diffrent methods. I saw it on youtube, went to a local dealer, but it wasn't in stock, so he had it ordered. Now I'm able to sharpen or touch up my chains in about 15 minutes. Happy with the product and it doesn't break the bank.

    Best guide for Stihl Sawchain.
Solid build , no better way to hold a correct angle. With the Stihl File and guide keeps Stihl Saw Chains razor sharp. Save your chains by using this combo. Grinder sharpening at a shop heats the chains and burns the temper out of the cutters. And sharpening at a shop these days can be expensive .

A MUST-HAVE to Keep Your Guide Bar Channel CLEAN !
In some ways this inexpensive tool is just as valuable as your Guide Bar. You should carry it in your saw's Tool Pouch & clean out the oiling channel every time you pull the Chain off. The newer Bars have inadequate diameter oiling holes, resulting in a "dry Bar" condition regardless of how much you turn-up the Oil Delivery setting. A dirty channel will only exacerbate that problem! And, a screwdriver will not reach down to the bottom of the channel. Most shops tend to forget to file the ... read more rakers when sharpening your chains. This tool is a must-have to ensure the correct amount is filed off.

    file gauge
The top plate angle and drag depth are pretty self explanatory. The side plate angle is what has me puzzled. I have sighted this with a brand new chain according to the chain spec and still don't really understand how to read the angle on the saw. I am guessing that four out of five ain't bad. 1. top plate angle (check# 2. drag depth #check# 3. bar groove depth #check# 4. bar groove cleaner #check# 5. side plate angle reading # x )

    Great saw
The easy start is great. I ruined my old saw when I put regular gas in it. My friend had an easy start saw. I got to use it and loved. When I replaced my old one I purchased the easy start. It has plenty of power and it is easy to use. Love it and I would recommend it perspective buyers.

Does what it was made to do
Not much to say other than it does what it's made to do. I like the hollow handle that allows you to drop a spare spark plug into.

The Best Quality file guide you can own.
The Stihl files are the best I've ever used. Faster cutting and they leave a razor sharp edge . For the guide solid build the thumb screw tensioning rocks . Beats spring clips hands down. Keeps a firm grip on the file.

Amazing quality and leaves no room for mistakes
I use the 1/4 model on my MS 180 and HT 56. The guide takes the guess work out of sharping and allows you to get your chain ‘sticky sharp.’ With 4 strokes, I have a fully sharped edge that cuts through numerous trees, limbs and branches. With this you extend the life of your blade 10 fold. I used to use an electric grinder sharper, but found that it takes too much off and shortens the life of the chain.

    Great tool.
This guide helps keep your gullet depth perfect. Extremely important in keeping a chain cutting like new. If you hand file, this is THE tool.
