    Well worth the money!
The first week I put this saw through its paces and it is awesome! Cut down 3 pine trees and cut them up in a weekend no issues.. saw is great has good power. It almost begs to be picked back up to cut down more.. love it!

    Good saw
I bought the 271 recently and immediately put it through 3 days of clearing some dense mesquite thickets. I've been very pleased with the reliability of this saw. It fires right up on the first pull and runs smoothly with plenty of power. After 3 days of running this saw, my only regret is that I think I may have purchased more saw than I actually needed. It's pretty heavy, so my hands and shoulders are in need of a day of rest after 3 days of Farm Boss use. When the fuel tank goes empty, it's a ... read more much welcome relief to have an excuse to set that heavy thing down and take a break!

Work of art keep up the good work
Very nice chain saw just keep the blade sharp. Starts every time. I have several Stihl items. They have never let me down. Make sure you use high quality gasoline or an additive. It help with all the ethanol they use in today's fuel.

    Worth the money
Have been burning wood for 35yrs. Started w x-brand chain 16"bar, then sthil 041 with 20" bar, 028 with 18" bar, ms 250 with 18" bar now ms291 with 20" bar. Ms 291 has power to do the job, easy to start & light enough to use all day. Do not have access to wood lot so get wood from local tree service. Last year they delivered trunks 20-30" in diameter 20ft long. Ms 291 handled them easily. Great saw.

    Excellent Trade Value
Traded in an MS310, my first Stihl, and got a great offer on a new MS311. It was hard to part with the 310 until the very first day I used the 311. The 310 was a long lasting great machine. The 311 was easily the best saw I have ever used. About the same weight, start or pull assistant makes starting so easy a child could do it. The quality of a Stihl will make you happy but remember that the day you decide to upgrade your old Stihl will give you trade in credit off a new saw that no other brand can match.

    Not my first saw
Have had a Stihl 034 AVQ for over 40 years, like me it's getting old and parts are getting harder to find.. This new saw, MS 311, is wonderful with lots of power, easy starts and great construction..Hope I last long enough to buy another

I bought the MS311 debated between that and the MS291. I went for more power because it was only $30 more, I was concerned about the weight, of the MS311 but it was very easy to handle, did not get tired overtime. The extra weight helps cut through big trees faster, just let the saw do the work. This saw probable cuts a 20 inch diameter tree in 15-20 seconds, UNREAL EATS WOOD.

    Work all day---extreme light weight!
Purchased in early December 2013. Fantastic pruning saw! I have 56 acres of woods to maintain and have 17 other Stihl saws. None can do what the MS150 C-E can do. That is allow me to run tank after tank to do pruning work and not slow down. I am replacing my 1996 023 that still runs great after about 1500 carving hours. The MS150 is about 6 lbs lighter. The MS 150 C-E will also be used for carving.

    Perfect for clearing brush
I was tired of holding and maneuvering a 18" chain saw in thick brush for hours at a time. This saw looks like a toy but works like a pro. It cuts right through 3" diameter Yaupon Holly in seconds. I love how easy it is to remove the oil and gas caps.Only complaint is that it wont engage the chain if anything (even a small stick) is touching it. A safety feature???

The saw is worth every Penny.
I heat my home on wood and cut many cords each year. I have been using cheap saws in the past and finally decided to purchase a Stihl. I did a lot of research and found that the ms391 is exactly what I needed. It comes with the 20" bar but you are able to put up to a 28" bar on it. This is a selling selling point for me as I have some rather large trees on my property. The comparison to the pro series was also an easy sell. The biggest difference for me was the weight ratio. The pro series is ... read more only slightly lighter. So far in the 3 weeks I've had the saw, I've already cut down over 20 trees and have not had one issue.

This is an outstanding saw at a very reasonable price. Excellent value!
This is the second Stihl saw I have purchased and they are without a doubt the best saws on the market. I have owned several other brands previously and the quality and performance of the Stihl brand is far superior to any other. I use my saw for tree felling and clean up and it is dependable, powerful and easy to use. I am very satisfied with my saw.

I have used chain saws all my life in Federal Government work ; but until my recent flood mitigation efforts in the Modjeska and Silverado Canyons in Orange County, I have never used Stihl chainsaws. In some of the most demanding and dangerous Canyon tree and bush mitigation work in deep canyons the Professional Stihl Products performed without failure in the safety mode at all times. The light weight made it easy in deep Canyon work as I was lowered by rope and cable down these Canyons. Thank ... read more you Stihl Products for a job safely done at all levels without a single failure.

    Perfect for around my land.
I have been clearing trails and thinning out areas throughout my property to make it accessible for my kids to enjoy. I have an MS 311 which is great for felling but gets heavy when walking through the woods and up and down steep grades cutting as I go. This saw has worked great for everything I have needed it for thus far and is light and easy to use. I'm very impressed.

    Reliable, strong, and lightweight.
I chose this model for frequent occasional use. Commercial quality homeowner tool. Has always started, always runs strong. I replaced the default 14" thin kerf bar and chain with a 0.050" chain and 16" bar to meet my needs. Motor needs a minute to reach optimum temps to run full speed but then runs strong.

    Great saw!
Easy to start, lightweight. I've been very pleased over the years with the performance of my 280, but my new 193 has become my favorite due to the lighter weight.
