Rated 1 out of 5 by from No place for bar chain oil I love Stihl products, but the Woodsman Chainsaw Carrying Case not so much. The case does not have any room for the bar chain oil or even a safe place for the manual when used with my MS 261 chainsaw. The tool carrier on the bar chain cover is weak, as it does not provide for screw drivers and/or adjustment tools or accessories. I need to carry a separate box when transporting my chain saw to the field, in addition to my fuel. 3 hands are needed. Ideally, I wish it had enough room for my alternate bar and chain.I think Stihl can do better than this. My other brand chain saw carrying case had all of these features. The Still carrying case also rolls over and rolls around in my vehicle on moderate turns. A larger bottom surface area would prevent this and provide more room for accessories.I only recommend this product because there is no other alternative that I could find.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Plastic Protection for your STIHL Tools I do t know about the other reviews that discuss this not working well. I haven’t had an issue and the way I see it, this protects my tools, me, and my vehicle. I put my saws in my vehicle (SUV) so I do t have the ability to “put it in the truck bed”. The saws move around and this can make a nice interior, gone wrong in a hurry. Even with a bar scabord on the felling spiked still dig in! This protects the vehicles. This also keeps my saw tidy while in storage so it’s ready to go when it’s needed. Honestly, pretty nice product for protecting the investment of nice saws.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not fit MS 362 R-CM or MSA 200 C First, these cases should be square in nature to allow stacking. It doesn't matter what saw you own, you just end up wasting space because each saw requires it own spot on the floor, shelf, or bed of the truck. Design a locking system much like Tanos/Festool systainers when stacking. Stihl, use the extra space inside the case to allow for the storage of tools, or a quart of bar oil or motomix, a slot to hold an extra chain, something. This seems obvious to me.With the wrap around handle on the 362RCM, this case has no way to accommodate the extra width. This is a saw with special dimensions. Please make a case to fit those dimensions.Along that line of thinking, I own the MSA 200 as well. It is much smaller, I made spacers to keep it from sliding around inside this case. It does fit, but it is a very sloppy fit. For the price tag of Stihl items, that is a very unacceptable. It the equivalent of the last mile problem. I think the fantastic engineers at Stihl let there 1st graders think about and design the case for the premium saws they designed.Concluding, this case is very close to the 'waste of money' category. The holes around the handle should be a dead giveaway that something is probably awry. You can't just leave it outside next to the wood pile in this case. Please consider making a range of cases to fit the different saw sizes you make. This one-size-fits-all/afterthought thinking is nonsense! People spend way too much money on your products and hope to care/maintain them accordingly. I know I am asking for a lot: different sizes/fit, better weather protection, interlocking (even between different size cases), stacking or nesting (if a smaller case could fit inside a rim built into a larger case), etc. The point is, your attention to detail should extend even to a plastic case. You are not even in the ballpark when talking the 362RCM! We have proven, we are willing to pay the premium for your excellent tools. I believe most of use are willing to pay for a premium case to protect it. I totally expect to give these to my boys when they get older.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 40 Years of Service Purchased my Stihl chainsaw case in 1978 when I purchased my 028 Woodboss chainsaw. Both the saw and the case are still in great shape and cutting strong. In the past year I have cut over 50 Ash trees that died due to emerald ash borer damage. Still have well over 50 to go. The case has seen a lot of hard work but has held up extremely well. Great investment. Saved my saw many times.
