    Light, quiet, powerful, awesome saw!
Have two large Stihl gas saws. The smaller battery saw is perfect for trimming brush to fit into chipper. Use for storm clean up, trail clearing. No need to pack gas, chain oil tank on saw lasts a long time before refilling. Also, saw does not leak any chain oil! Never had any saw that doesn't leak chain oil. Amazing!

    Great for the homeowner
I previously owned a gas stihl chainsaw for years. I made the switch to all the battery powered stihl tools so that my wife felt more comfortable using them. She refused to use the gas powered tools. After purchasing the chainsaw I was completely blown away. I have already used the saw for about 15 hours cutting down 7 dead trees on my property. The saw works very well and has handled everything thrown at it. This saw has all the power that a homeowner would ever need. The only regret you ... read more will have is that you didn't buy it sooner.

    An Impressive Battery Saw!
I purchased this saw for my wife to use for limbing trees and lighter trimming on our property. We were both very surprised at how much power and cutting ability this saw had... for a battery powered saw. It's lite enough that she can handle it with ease, ~11 lbs with the battery, and a single charge will limb several trees. We upgraded on the charger to get the quick charge option, and it's very convenient that the batteries are fully charged before we need them as the battery life/run time is ... read more impressive. The tool less maintenance is also beneficial as we can grab the saw, an extra battery, and some bar oil and head off in the woods for hours... no tools or excess equipment to bring along. I would definitely recommend this saw to others, lightweight, powerful and fast cutting. A bit pricey, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for.

    My goto saw now
I've owned a Stihl farm boss for many years and have always loved that saw. However, I wanted a light weight saw for trimming trees and other small projects around my property. I was planning on getting one of the lightweight gas saws when I saw this. It was more than I wanted to spend by the time you add in the battery and charger cost, but I couldn't be happier. I almost never fire up the boss anymore. I cut down and cut up multiple 8-10" diameter hardwood trees on a single charge. Not only is ... read more it quiet enough that you can use it in the wee hours without bugging the neighbors, but it's way more powerful than I expected. Also, the battery lasts longer than I do. Very happy with this product.

    Most useful chainsaw I own
I have several, chainsaws including a Stihl gas powered and Husquavarna gas powered saw. The gas powered saws are for consistent tree cutting and can’t be beat for clearing downed trees. However, for day to day use, the 160 saw is the one I reach for. So easy to use. It is also the first saw my wife has ever used despite numerous attempts to get her to use the other saws. I can toss it in the back of the truck or the tractor and don’t have to worry about a can of gas spilling over.

Very well thought out and designed, the saw-battery-charger-and chain, excellant.
A pleasure to work with, no ethanol problems, the saw is quiet, very well made almost no vibrations, and combined with the new 1/4" 43 gauge chain the saw cuts and bores very well, with most applications the battery lasts longer than a tank of gas. I also have the option of working indoors, and in a suburban setting the neighbors love the saw too. I also like the fact that the saw is much easier to maintain, no air or gas filters,no mixing oil and gas, no spark plug or smoke during idling, no ... read more carb adjustments, and no oily mess on the muffler and saw, all I need to do when im done is blow off the chips with my compressor, wipe off the sprocket area as usual and mount a new chain. I have two MSA 160 saws, I also use standard 1/4" RMS chain. For precision pruning, firewood, storm clean-up or Carving, it's outstanding, I love my saw!

    Great saw
I was very skeptical at first and then I used it. Like others have said, don't underestimate this saw. I can cut 3-4 small limbs before I can start a similar sized gas saw. Its small enough to keep behind the seat of my tractor. I'm mostly doing brush and small tree clearing and its perfect. Definitely recommend this saw.

    Great Saw!
I bought the MSA 140 for my wife and she loves it! She can take care of everything herself. NO FUEL TO MIX! Just charge the battery. So far, she hasn't run out of battery. I mean she's not cutting a cord of wood. Although I love my gas big-boy Stihl, I have found myself using hers for trimming and for cutting smaller pieces of firewood to fit in our wood stove. A great purchase! We love it!

    Tough Little Bugger
I told my husband that I was interested in an electric saw for a couple of reasons, the first being that we have a yard with some pretty stout trees that I didn't feel comfortable using his gas powered saw to trim up with. The second was that I wanted something small enough to put in the back bag of my 4-wheeler to deal with trees that fall across trails etc. without the chain saw being too large or deal with gas/oil sloshing all over the place. This little guy handles all of that. It's user ... read more friendly, light weight and gets the job done. Love It!!

    Wonderful product
I have had this saw for 6+ Months, in that time I have cut down and then cut up hundreds of trees mostly 10in or less. The runtime is good it's easy to use and fast charging I got the saw with 2 batteries so if one dies it's not a issue. I would recommend a battery powered chainsaw to anybody. You can cut stuff larger then 10 in however it uses the battery faster. If you need a saw get a battery powered one. I'd love to demo any new ones of these saws they just work so well.

Exactly the saw that I needed for my situation.
I recently had surgery. I had someone fell 3 trees for me and needed to purchase a saw to remove branches. I couldn't pull a conventional gas powered chainsaw fearing that I might pull stitches from the surgery. So I looked at the battery powered chainsaws and decided on this model. It only took about 1-1/2 hours to charge. I was impressed with the size of branches that I was able to cut. Also the run time for the battery was better than I expected. It was as simple as pulling the trigger and ... read more sawing. No yanking to start. I would recommend this saw to anyone interested in an easy to use saw for clean up applications. And a bonus of no gas or oil to purchase.

    Nice little saw
This is a great little trim saw. Great for cutting limbs and small trees. Nice to use when a larger gas saw is too much. Super sharp small 1/4" Picco chain cuts great but the saw is not a powerhouse so you can't rush it. I wanted a small battery saw to take with me if I get my big saw pinched. Also nice to put in the back seat of my truck without the normal gas smell when checking storm damage.
