This is a great leaf blower
I had a Ryobi blower for almost 15 years. I fixed it several times and kept it going because I could always count on it starting within 3 pulls. The carb finally gave out and there were no replacement parts. Evaluating the market I saw that reviews on consumer quality lawn equipment was not favorable. I also have a Troybilt trimmer that is impossible to start. I decided it was time to upgrade to professional grade equipment. I read excellent reviews on the BR600 and saw that it was the leaf ... read more blower of choice by professional lawn services. Now that I have used it a few times I am very impressed. It starts easily in 2-3 pulls and it has much more power than my previous leaf blower. It easily moves acorns and pine needles from grass and gets the job done in half the time. My only regret is that I waited so long. I should of purchased the BR 600 sooner. The only con to this blower is that even on idle it has enough thrust to spin around when you are trying to put it on your back. I can live with that.

Wish I had purchased this blower years ago!
Excellent performance in the first month since I purchased the blower. Have used 5 or 6 times for clearing 2/3 acre lot of heavy leaves. Immediate startup, amazing power and good ergonomics make the job so much easier and faster than I had with my previous blowers, including backpack models from other brands. The initial set-up, demo, and instructions on my blower that the dealer provided were extremely helpful and exceeded expectations. Easey to start, really powerful
I bought this blower because our vacation property gets ignored in the winter time and my 15 year old BR340 just took too long to blow all the wet leaves into the woods. Now my wife and I can double team the leaves and finish up in a couple of hours. This blower really has a lot of power and can push a lot of leaves. I really like that the blower doesn’t have a handle “on” switch, just pull and blow. I would highly recommend this blower if you have a large area to clean up. The only thing that ... read more would be nice is a chest strap, the blower keeps trying to slip off my left shoulder. This blower is fairly light considering the amount of power it has. I am 69 years old and have no problems using this blower.

This product blows stronger than any other brand.
Had a choice between this BR 600 model, or the newer released model. I am totally satisfied with the operation and strength of this BR 600 model, the ease and weight, and the efficiency of air flow. The newer high end blower utilizes the CFMs better, I understand, but can't imagine an improvement over the BR 600!

    Impressive product
Upgraded to the 500 and was amazed with the power, ease of use, quick start, and weight. What used to take me an hour now only takes 20 minutes.

1 year so far with the 450 C-EF
My blower starts after 1 or 2 pulls regardless of outdoor temp and I couldn't be more pleased. Seems to be more than enough power to satisfy almost any homeowner. I use it at least once a week. The electric start is a godsend to pick up/move things around, talk to neighbors, kids, etc. I would never have a blower without electric start again. Just FYI, complaints about not being able to start the BR450C-EF with the electronic start are misplaced. You do not start the blower with the button. ... read more You must do the initial start via recoil. Once it's been running and you stop it, you RESTART it with the electronic start. I cannot recommend this blower highly enough as the near perfect compromise for a homeowner.

Electric start not reliable on first start.
I like the concept of the electric start, but it hasn't proved reliable. The battery does not hold a charge. Each time you use the unit you must manually pull start the blower for its initial start even when using the next day. After running for a while if you pause and stop the blower it will start again at the push of a button which is convenient. I took the blower back to the dealer and they replied that there was nothing wrong with it so I presume it is normal that the battery doesn't hold a charge.

    Overall a good buy
Although hesitant at first to spend $600 After tax on a single blower, this has easily paid for itself and I don't think I'd buy a blower without electric start in the future. I've had this blower for 3 seasons now. 28 properties weekly from April through mid November and then multiple leaf cleanups. I run ethanol free fuel in all of my equipment and have found a night and day difference with reliability and performance, but I still clean my spark arrestors twice a season with a blow torch which ... read more couldn't be easier with stihl design. I love the ease of maintenance and being my first backpack blower this thing has some pretty good power. I love the fact I can take payment or chat with a customer and then press a button and start it right back up. It seems most of the complaints are from the electric start not working from a cold start, but mine always starts on the first or second pull so I haven't found that to be an issue. Being a mechanic as well, I highly recommend ethanol free fuel beacuse sitting in the gas cans & tanks the ethanol in regular pump fuel attracts moisture and gunks up carburetors, and spark arrestors faster than you might think.

    This product is awesome
I was a little hesitant at first to purchase this leaf blower because of the price but I am very happy with the over all performance. I bought my house a few months ago and I first bought a stihl weed wacker. When it was time to buy a leaf blower I went right back to the store to purchase again. The power is great and it is so nice not to have to worry if it will start. I definitely will continue to purchase all of my tools from Stihl.

    Awesome Leaf Blower!
I've had a BG86 blower for 2 years now and love it. I've owned the cheap box hardware store blowers in the past and they've all broken too quickly. This STIHL BG86 is really reliable and very easy to start no more than 2 pulls every time! If you have a lot of leaves to deal with then this is THE blower for you. The features are handy including the throttle lock so the throttle trigger doesn't have to be constantly pulled. Do your self a favor and buy one!

    Excellent Leaf Blower!
I have had this blower for several months now and absolutely love it. My neighborhood has a lot of Pin and Red Oak trees that drop a lot of leaves. This leaf blower has done an excellent job and is easy to use. I have also used this blower several times to remove 1 inch fluffy light snows and it did a great job. This leaf blower is easy to start, runs great, light weight, well balanced, and really moves leaves. It might be just a little more expensive ($50) but trust me, it is well worth it to ... read more own Stihl and you won't regret it. I own a few other Stihl products and that's all I'll buy now. This Is The Best Blower I’ve Ever Used.
I own a Stihl BR350 as well as a BR600 backpack blower so I know what good equipment is. My new Stihl BR 800 X is so much more powerful than my other blowers and surprisingly more comfortable. I’ve yet to run into a job that was too tough for my BR 800 X....a winters worth of wet leaves was absolutely no problem. If you’re in the market for a backpack blower... test the best one....the Stihl BR 800 X you won’t be disappointed.

    Everything I need and more
Decided on this blower after using one to clean up after a recent storm. Without a doubt, no question, the best blower on the market. Don't waste your time with the other brands, spend the extra money and go with what you can count on. Work smarter not harder, this blower cleared almost an acre of debris in about 35 minutes. Sticks, limbs, pine cones, leaves, gone. I now look for excuses to use this. I have already loaned it out twice. Bought this to blow 5 acres of oak leaves. I had been using a BG86, which is a nice handheld blower. But I needed more power. I bought the 800X magnum. The first time you ever pull the rope to start it you know this is not Grandmas blower. Blows huge piles of leaves around like they are confetti. I will keep my BG86 because it has the gutter attachment and I can also use it to blow small areas like my patio.

    Great blower
I was normally a hand blower guy that has a house around 10 trees or so. I resently decided to spend a little money and try out the backpack blower. I love it. No more having to continually switching hands because they’re getting tired and blocking the air on the intake side with my pants wih the bg86. The power that comes out of the br700 is pretty strong it definitely moves the leaves. I would definitely recommend this blower.

    Great product
I dont know why i waited so long to buy this. Makes leaf detail fun. Was worried it wouldnt perform like my other blower. Blower does great job even in wet leaves. Alot lighter than old blower. Highly recommend this blower.

Why did I not buy one of these years ago?
We have a battery powered hand held blower that we’ve happily used for a couple of years to blow off the driveway/front walkway. I had tried it out in the yard but you had to run it in turbo mode for it to really do anything and it only ran about 15 minutes on that setting. I sort of figured that a backpack blower would only offer a 15-20% power increase with a much longer run time. Boy was I wrong.... it usually takes me about 4 hours to rake the yard. I just completed that same job in about ... read more 30 minutes with the BR700. Not only is it much faster, it takes much less effort. I can’t believe it hadn’t dawned on me to buy a professional grade backpack blower years ago. If time equals money, this thing has already paid for itself. Well done Stihl!
