    Great purchase so far!
I have only owned the blower for a month now. So can't really comment on the durability, but if it's anything like the other Stihl products I own it should last me for years and years. This machine has plenty of power and starts on the first few pulls each time overall after only using it a few times I'm very happy with this purchase.

    Great leaf blower.
I had the small Stihl handheld blower and it hurt my back holding it in one hand. This blower is so powerful it's very much worth the money. Especially since it will most likely outlast me. It does burn fuel quite fast but it also gets job done fast.

    Plenty of power and volume!
My son is a commercial/professional in landscaping and lawn maintenance. When he started his business he went with Stihl power products. He's stuck with them. My grandfather had Craftsman power tools on his farm until later in life when he went to a Stihl chainsaw. After using it for a short time he told me he wished he'd gone with them years before. I'm glad I have my BR 450!

    Great handheld power.
When my old blower broke I bought a BG 56CE. It did not have the power I needed, my local Stihl dealer let me trade up to BG 86 CE. It has great power to blow wet cedar tree stuff off my roof and out of my gutters. It is relatively quiet compared to my last blower. The engine runs so smooth, I don't get the pins and needles feelings in my hands after extended use, which is my favorite aspect of the BG 86. I also like the four year warranty (with purchase of Stihl gas:oil mix).

excellent power and control of air streams
I purchased in 2014 a BG 86C-E model handheld blower. Best blower I ever owned. Easy to use, plenty of power and dependable. The three things a homeowner looks for in any type of power tools. . It funnels more air into a smaller size that moves mountain of leaves with ease. You can easily control the edges where the blower air stream is distinct unlike other blowers. Not only is this blower well worth the price but is the most efficient. It is amazing how much work it is capable of doing. Never ... read more own anything but Stihl products.

Great Product wish I bought this the first time
I now have both a trimmer and the blower/shredder vac. I have to say you get what you pay for. Both units start easy and operate flawlessly each time I use them. I wouldn't tell people to buy any other brands. I have had other names like craftsman and Troy built which I thought would be good products but I have always been left with problems shortly after owning. I finally bought a Honda mower three years ago after a craftsman mower just over a year old quit. For the homeowner, this is the one you want
This unit has more than enough power. We live in the Poconos on a 1.25 acre lot with lots of trees. Moves heavy wet leaves with ease. Unless you are a pro or have a huge area to clear this machine is more than enough. Great buy at this price.

This blower has the power to get the job done!!
This is the first Stihl product I have purchased. I am very impressed with the quality of it. I plan on purchasing several other pieces of equipment ( saw, trimmer, etc.) in the next couple of years.

Absolutely the best blower I've owned.
This blower is the best blower I have ever owned. I can work for hours with it on my back. It does much better than my bagger on the tractor ever did. I'm glad I spent the extra money and got the bigger one.

Do yourself a favor and don't think twice, buy it!!
I have wanted a backpack for sometime But didn't want to spend the money, I dreaded leave season every year !!!! Thiis year I decided to spend the cash, this machine is simply amazing ! Makes blowing leaves effortless and more fun than work due to how impressive this machine is. I was able to blow old piles of leaves from the previous years that were wet from rain the day before. If your thinking about it just do it and you will be thrilled ! Typical Stihl, a great product at a great price. A+ ... read more to Stihl on this leaf blowing Hurricane.

    This is it!!!!!
I have used a Husqvarna hand held blower for a year then got smart and got a BR 550 backpack blower and it was good for getting the leaves out of the bushes and dealing with 257 trees on 1 1/2 acres of land but now I have the BR 700 and it was worth every penny and the price difference between the BR600 and the BR700 is $50( at least here in Oregon) This saves me so much time as it blows out all the pine needles around the yard and in the bushes.Buy it,you will thank me for recommending it.

    Soooo much power!!!
Just got the BR700 tonight, it rained all day and could not wait to try it out! I wish I could post the video! Normal blowers can't blow leaves as far as this thing can when it's dry out!! The wife was not too happy with me until she tried it....she took over, I could not get it back! So I think I can speak for the two of us. I give the BR 700 a 110%

Great design for the urban leaf blower.
Excactly what was needed in a noise conscience environment. Stihl enough power to lift wet leaves of the sidewalks. If I was to use it everyday I would probably go for the BR600 but since it is only used sparingly this does the job I bought it for.

Why Did I Wait So Long To Buy It?
First of, the dealer who I purchased it from, Freeman Creek Equipment was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me a demonstration of its features. The blower itself surpassed my expectations. I have a 1 acre property with mature oaks and maples. Needless to say, in the fall there are plenty of leaves. So much so that I am blowing them for several weeks. This blower has significantly cut down the time to do it. I like the ability to lock in various speeds.

Very Quite and Does the Job
I Maintain Grounds equipment on a university campus and we recently purchased three BR 500 Blowers for our department. All three are working great and it is much nicer around campus with the reduced noise levels from these blowers. We have many trees and at any one time are running 7 to 8 leaf blowers during the Fall to keep up. The BR 500 Blowers move less air than other blowers that are available but they provide enough air to do the job and as stated above produce noticeably less noise.

    Great Blower
I replaced my BR320 with the BR550. The new "smart" carburetor works exceptionally well so that startup is simple, and the engine usually fires on the first pull. Power is sufficient for me to move leaves and clean out grass clippings from underneath my mower deck. The locking trigger is a nice feature carried over from earlier blower variants. I have yet to use the BR550 to clear light snowfalls but it should work well as the BR320 with much less power did a fair job at that task. The quality ... read more of the BR550 meets the expectations I have for my Stihl products.

Buy It If You Need POWER
I have had this backpack blower for a few years and if you need to move HUGE piles of wet leaves or some snow then this one is the ticket. When leaves are wet they are difficult to move around and get into piles but not with this blower! It is also great for clearing driveways and sidewalks of snow if it isn't too wet or deep. This beats a broom or shovel all to heck.

Best Blower for My needs that I could find.
First I observed which brand the professionals use. Then I read all internet reviews I could find. Finally I visited a retailer and asked for a demonstration. Only after it passed all those tests did I purchase a BR 550. While it is not a full out professional model, nether am I. A rack to help mount the blower on my back would be nice but otherwise I am thrilled with this machine. I even volunteered to clear the next door widow woman's gutters and whatever. I love this machine. It starts, it ... read more runs well (still getting used to the non 2-cycle sound), and should the rest of my life.
