This is a great leaf blower
I had a Ryobi blower for almost 15 years. I fixed it several times and kept it going because I could always count on it starting within 3 pulls. The carb finally gave out and there were no replacement parts. Evaluating the market I saw that reviews on consumer quality lawn equipment was not favorable. I also have a Troybilt trimmer that is impossible to start. I decided it was time to upgrade to professional grade equipment. I read excellent reviews on the BR600 and saw that it was the leaf ... read more blower of choice by professional lawn services. Now that I have used it a few times I am very impressed. It starts easily in 2-3 pulls and it has much more power than my previous leaf blower. It easily moves acorns and pine needles from grass and gets the job done in half the time. My only regret is that I waited so long. I should of purchased the BR 600 sooner. The only con to this blower is that even on idle it has enough thrust to spin around when you are trying to put it on your back. I can live with that.

    Another great Stihl product
Great blower for large areas. Should have bought years ago. At first I was intimidated by the back pack style blower, but after fighting my large amount of leaves with my Stihl hand blower (I was younger then), I decided to go with the BR600. The BR600 starts easy, and was surprised by how balanced and lightweight it is. The time spent cleaning my 2 acre property was cut in half. If your thinking of buying a back pack blower, buy a Stihl!

    Plenty of power
Have only gone through two tanks of gas with this blower, but this is quite a step up from my old BG 86 C-E. Have a ton of leaves from some large maple and cedar trees on my 2 acres. I have a 100 yard gravel road that gets covered with a thick blanket almost daily during this fall time of year. With BR 600, I can clear the road as fast as I can walk and without using full power! No longer dread doing this job now that I have a blower that can handle it.

    Amazing Backpack Blower
I have only had experience with handheld blowers and electric blowers and nothing tops these Stihl Backpack Blowers. I had a plan to buy one, strayed away for a bit, and finally forked out the money to get one and I will never go back to anything else unless it is a Stihl. This product is so reliable, cranks on first pull everytime and has the power of an industrial backpack blower. My father recommended me to get this because he has had such good luck with his own that he bought about 2 years ... read more ago. Awesome power!
I have 1.5 acres of wooded yard. My leaf blower made quick work of leaf removal. I had and still have my handheld Stihl leaf blower. Using the handheld convinced me to upgrade.

    the little blower that could
We purchased this blower about a year ago to replace a older br 380 we had as a backup. We didn't want such a bulky blower so we opted for this one. We use it for our commercial gardening business. It has been used about 5 days a week since we've owned it and it still hasn't been in the shop once. It still has the original carburetor and spark plug. We had a hard time with the tube mounted throttle since we mostly used hip throttle blowers. It just takes practice. This blower is strong and light ... read more and very fuel efficient.

I am a Stihl guy. I have all Stihl equipment. However today I bought a new BR800X. And oh my goodness what on earth did I wait on! This machine will get my yard done in 1/2 the time and possibly get me back on the golf course during leaf season! I have Never written a review, but I am currently leaning on my truck bead, smiling and writing my first. Everyone homeowner with any leaf battle must make this purchase! Thank you Stihl! Getting dark now. Hope nobody is planning to sleep in!

    Strong Blower
Today being a year since purchasing my first br800, I now have 4. Great blowers, very strong! They need to fix the issues I’m having with the 90 degree elbow screws, they strip out over a few months, and cause the elbow to swing out away from user causing a lot more effort. Everything else is great about the blower!

It’s easy to start, Extremely powerful, good weight
I bought this backpack blower because I live in a almost totally treed lot, I was using a hand held blower but would only get 1or2 years before having to replace. This blower will cut my leaf removal time by 90%at least . I am sure my neighbors will not mind the less time listening to me removing leaves,it also moves hickory nut hauls, sticks, rocks, acorns, sweetgum balls and even blows the dead thatch out of the lawn. I am so glad I bought this blower instead of a smaller one it might be over kill ... read more for a residential customer but the time it saves you it will pay for its self

    The product is reliable.
The product should have the auto run feature so the throttle tab does not need to be held down all of the time.

    excellent for the average home
You can't beat the power of a gas engine! I had a battery blower prior to this and it was just ok. This Stihl 56 is great. Light enough to carry and more power. The very best thing is the eave trough cleaning attachment. In a few minutes I can walk around my home and clear every gutter and downspout without a ladder. Time saving and significantly safer.

I am very satisfied with my Stihl product
i have read reviews on hard starting and flooding problems with Stihl products. I had that problem with my first purchase and took it back to the dealer. He got it started and then took the time to show me what to do and what not to do. I love all three of the gas driven products I have and would not buy a different brand.

    Great experience, great dealer!
If you need a blower with plenty of power and air volume, this is it! Easy to start, very easy to use. This unit has very little vibration, which takes a lot of stress off the back and shoulders and, it is fairly quiet. I borrowed my neighbor's Husqvarna backpack blower to clear my leaves last year. At the time, I thought that was a great unit. Compared to my Stihl, it's just a good blower, not great. Everything about this blower is easy, from the start to the throttle, to the telescoping tube. ... read more I highly recommend it.

    Handles tough jobs well.
This leaf blower works well, even when moving piles of wet leaves. It also worked well to bow away high spots left in the dirt after front end loader did a major project on my property. It needs two modifications, however. The foot hold is not big enough for a man's boot; your boot slips off when pulling the starter cord, making it awkward to start. It also needs a strap that will join the two shoulder harnesses from slipping off while working. I have improvised with using a belt to do that ... read more task, but it would be more user-friendly if the unit came with a similar device that is already attached. Otherwise, I am satisfied that I made the right purchase decision. This backpack blower is much more powerful than the Stihl hand held unit I was using before and cuts work time by a third.

Awesome if your on the fence come on over!!!
I am not a pro I am a homeowner with an average size yard which is in the middle of my farm. I have about a 300 foot concrete circle driveway and 1500 sq yards of lawn. Me and the bank own a timber farm. I have many other Stihl products which are all outstanding. I decided to upgrade my big box store blower to a back pack blower because it kept sucking my pants to the air intake when I would use my right hand. It also made more noise than air flow. When I went to the Stihl store my intention was ... read more to buy one of the smaller backpack blowers as they would work for my needs. When I compared the engine size and weight to all the other blowers at the store I decided to spend the extra 200$ and go with this HOSS. I am very glad I did. I only use ethanol free gas and Sthil oil and it only takes one pull to get this beast running and cuts my blower time by at least 50% maybe more. Do I need a 500$ blower nope. I am so glad I have one and if it last like my other Stihl products I don't see me ever buying another blower. It is quiet for a blower, and moves piles of leaves and pine straw with little effort if you want to buy your last blower get one of these!!!

I LOVE this blower! I do all of the yard work since hubby had two spine surgeries. Pull starting my old blower was horrible. Wore me out more than picking up the leaves. I saw this one advertised, went and looked. SOLD! I no longer dread starting the backpack blower. Prime and press a button, life is good! I only wish the weedwhacker I bought had an electric start also. What a great machine!

1 year so far with the 450 C-EF
My blower starts after 1 or 2 pulls regardless of outdoor temp and I couldn't be more pleased. Seems to be more than enough power to satisfy almost any homeowner. I use it at least once a week. The electric start is a godsend to pick up/move things around, talk to neighbors, kids, etc. I would never have a blower without electric start again. Just FYI, complaints about not being able to start the BR450C-EF with the electronic start are misplaced. You do not start the blower with the button. ... read more You must do the initial start via recoil. Once it's been running and you stop it, you RESTART it with the electronic start. I cannot recommend this blower highly enough as the near perfect compromise for a homeowner.

Bought the BR450C-EF for the electric start feature- Great Innovation by STIHL
I bought the 450 for the electric start because it always seems like someone is coming up to "talk" with you! I have three other Stihl Backpack Blowers that serve me well, BUT....I always seem to gravitate towards the 450 for the electric start convenience. The power is equal to my 600 and 700 and the starting procedure is simple! Starts every time with the electric start even after sitting for a few months. I can't begin to say enough good things about the go and get one,you won't be ... read more disappointed. You get what you pay for with STIHL!
