  • STIHL Easy2Start™
The STIHL Easy2Start™ system makes starting STIHL® outdoor power tools almost effortless, eliminating the need for a strong pull of the starting cord. This advanced starting system is designed to make starting STIHL® products fast and easy. The specific system may vary by model, but in each case, a quick pull overcomes the engine’s compression to minimize the strength and effort required to start. Available on selected products.
  • Purge Pump Primer
The purge pump primer feature enables the user to prime the carburetor with fuel, enabling easier starting. The purge pump primer is designed in a way that the operator cannot flood the machine by priming the carburetor too many times. Flooding the engine is still possible if the choke is not removed after the engine fires.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet but not enough blowing force I've enjoyed my blower so far. It starts easy, it's light weight but most of all its the quietest blower I've ever used. The down side is the blowing power / force, not up to my standard anyway. But if you live in a neighborhood with close neighbors then they will also appreciate this blower as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for the homeowner Purchased this blower to replace a 6 year old echo that had a hot start issue. Power is good and it starts easy when cold. But after its hot it has the same hot start issue as the echo.Once cool,no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My old Stihl blower was 15 years old My old Stihl blower was 15 years old, used daily, and it was time to replace it. If it last as long as my old blower, I'll be very happy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet but tough to start. This is the quietest blower that I have had but it takes about 10 pulls to get it going. Then, after a few coughs and sputters, it runs great. Great power for being that light.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good, not great I have had several blowers over 3 decades. My 20 year old Craftsman is being used by my son, still. This BG56 is better than the Craftsman in weight and noise level. The force of air is also better than the Craftsman, but only slightly. I expected a great deal better in the Stihl after reading reviews. I am disappointed in the Stihl that I could not have the option of a flat tube. Why not?
