    A nice surprise
This blower is more powerful than I counted on for a handheld battery tool. Works great. It’s not my BR 700 backpack blower but it isn’t supposed to be. Use it to blow off the deck and driveway. Does a nice job and battery longevity is pretty darn good. Recharges quickly too. This is actually fun to use. I have many STIHL gas powered products and just recently expanded into the battery line. Very nice quality and I am impressed with the form fit and functionality.

    Quiet and efficient
This blower works great, no gas or oil mix to contend with or extension cords, starts as soon as you pull the trigger - at my age this is what the doctor ordered. It is quiet compared to my Stihl gas blower and does a great job at removing grass and leaves from walkways and driveways. Very reliable, quiet and easy to use. I would highly recommend getting an extra battery as the AK10 battery that comes with it works well but has a short life span. I would recommend having another AK10 or the ... read more AK20 which has a longer run time as backup. I love mine as I don’t smell of gas and oil any more when I am done and I get the job done. That is the bottom line and that is why I like my BGA 56 blower.

It’s a residential model for the average home owner! Will do what it’s intended to do..
My purchased focused on the fact I have a battery chainsaw. Uses the same battery plus I bought a extra battery for the chainsaw at the same I purchased saw. So I have lots of batteries to use both and two chargers. The blower clears all my grass clippings after the mower covers driveway and walk ways. I have trees that hang over my decks that are messy!! So this blower beats sweeping as it gets pieces out that has been trapped into the cracks in the deck boards! I use to clean my garage ... read more floor! Better then a broom... so yeah it’s a handy little tool! PS.. I will use to clean the snow off my car in the morning when the time comes!

    Better than gas-powered alternatives
Pluses are low sound, starts instantly, no maintenance, sufficient power to push wet leaves and twigs, light weight (easy on arms, hands & shoulders) and compact. As expected, short power cycle (10 - 15 minutes), takes 45 minutes to fully charge. Battery frequently gets stuck in blower housing which takes a little effort to dislodge. Would definitely recommend a second battery charger. It appears that there is a faster charger available - would have been useful to know before purchasing (not ... read more sure whether dealers are able to swap slow charger for faster one, at point of sale). Overall, I got what I expected and I’d make the same choice again - hopefully with the faster charger, so I’m not stuck with two; would pay more for the faster charger but wouldn’t want to have to purchase both versions.

Outstanding quality My favorite yard power tool
I have a Ryobi battery powered blower which I thought was fine, but I needed more power. I have a gas powered blower, Husqvarna, but it is a major pain to use, especially for small or quick jobs. I purchased a Stihl battery powered chain saw, so I already had an investment in the battery and charger which is not included in the blower.i bought the battery powered blower even though there were no reviews or hands on from sales person at the time. This tool is just awesome. Plenty of power to get ... read more any job done, obviously quiet compared to gas power. Have it just about a year now.use it several times a week, year round in Florida Easy to use and handle. Great battery life, quick charging. Compared to Ryobi product,it is like driving a BMW vs a scooter. If you can get past the price you will not be disappointed.

    BGA 85 Test Run
Bought the BGA 85 leaf blower several months ago and had a great chance to beat it up around my yard. Works well was able to clear my small 1/4 acre lot back yard of leafs on two batteries. New 300 battery work better than the old 180 battery. Nozzle on unit a bit awkward in tight yew bushes. However the power seems good even with wet leaves.

    BGA Blower
I purchased this to replace my gas powered blower which isn't used much in the winter season and I have the usual problems getting it started for the first time in spring. This time the pull rope broke. Other times it's the hoses or carburetor. My new BGA85 works like a champ. Just pick it up and get to work. I don't use ear plugs but you can if you feel the need. It is as heavy as the gas blower but well balance with the battery installed. Not a problem for me with bad wrists.

Just as powerful as gas blowers
First off, this blower is just as powerful as gas blowers I've used. I picked it over gas blowers because I didn't want to mess with having premix fuel around and also it is lighter weight and doesn't vibrate like gas blowers. I like that this blower's battery is held in a belt holster instead of in the blower itself. This keeps the unit light weight wear it counts. I ended up using the shoulder strap that came with my string trimmer on the battery holster instead of a belt since I am usually ... read more wearing athletic shorts. I like that the same battery works for this blower and my string trimmer. I've had this blower and string trimmer for 2 years now and am now looking at getting a chainsaw and hedge trimmer that use the same batteries.

    Good tool
I am looking forward to using this for a full season, and might update this review. The blower is light weight and has good power. I already had the battery chain saw which I love so I figure I'd continue with Stihl products so I can share batteries and charger. The BGA blower is over priced, and requires the user buy a battery box with power cord that is almost a third of the price of the blower. These are accessories that should come with the blower. The only reason I didn't recommend this ... read more tool is that it isn't worth the total cost.

    Works great
We have used this blower for our garages, patio (which is quite large), and drives. Blows rocks, debris, etc and I can do all of them on a single charge. I was tired of the others I had where I needed several batteries to complete the job and they did not have near the blower velocity that this one does. I actually bought it for my wife since she just can't seem to fire up the gas blower :) But, I still seem to be the one that uses it.
