    Good all around blower
I have only had this blower for 2 months, but I can give you an idea of what to expect. First I would like to talk about power. This machine can blow wet, large piles of leaves with little effort. Second topic is noise. The noise did not seem loud to me, but I do wear ear protection muffs. Third topic is fuel efficiency. It seemed to consume a good amount of fuel but that is normal for a machine in this power category. Overall I am very satisfied.

    Does a great job
I upgraded to a BR 600 after using (still using) a BR 400 for 20 years. I had contemplated looking at a Husqvarna 750 and it felt like I had a Volkswagen on my back and sounded like it had no muffler. Don't be afraid of the 4 mix. Is quiet and lots of power on wet or dry leaves. All my power tools are Stihl and it's nice to go back to the dealer you purchased it from instead of a major box store or online purchase. Starts with one pull and is quieter than most other back pack blowers.

    Overall Excellent Blower
I have owned several blowers over the past 20 years and many of them Stihls. I own a small Lawn Care Business and I have used Stihls almost exclusively for blowers. I have had my last BR 600 for at least 6-7 years and it has been a work horse. I did have to replace the carburetor about 3 years ago and I think I need to replace it again but with the amount of work it has done this is acceptable maintenance. I just purchased a new BR 600 and I am sure I will get great service for years.

    Powerful
I am a homeowner that previously owned a BR500 which was stolen. I purchased the the BR450 C-EF as a replacement and have been happy with its performance and the electric start function. It has taken me a little time to get used to the starting sequence since this thing actually the easy start system on it but most times I have just used the electric start to fire it up. About 3 cycles of the starter and its running. It's getting close to time for all the leave to start falling so I will be ... read more using it for that. Up until this point I have only used it to blow off the driveway after mowing and it of course does that with no issues. Sips gas too.

Love this, so glad I bought it!
So glad I bought this, I can do my whole property in under an hour, where my old electric blower would take me all day! I'm a 62 year old widow and I love that electric start on it! I have just under an acre of land with lots of trees! This is going to make fall and spring clean up a breeze! Wish I had bought it sooner,

To date, their best professional blower
I own a BR 550, BR 600 Magnum, and now the BR 450 C-EF -- without a doubt this is Stihl's best blower to date (Oct 2015). I think the Stihl engineers have underrated the CFM, as I can attest that it is virtually equal to the 600 Magnum (and possibly greater). Also, the way that the air is delivered is better, it seems to have more "punch" when you throttle up (compared to the 600). Electric start is a fantastic feature, even on cold mornings, it fires right up. Also, the larger fuel tank is a ... read more benefit over previous models..

    Great power but small bag
The tubes are difficult to put on and remove but not a huge problem after you get the hang of it. Power is the best I've seen in a gas blower/vac. The most frustrating thing is the coming up to a yard full of leaves with a vac that has such a small bag. There should be an optional accessory that has either a MUCH larger bag or attachment to a large garbage can. The bag is also hard to empty. The zipper should come around the corner and up the side a ways.

    Great two in one product
Both blower side and vac side work great. Bag could be bigger, maybe a backpack style bag with a larger capacity. I have a large mature oak trees and works great in and around the flower beds. However, it does not like the acorns. I have a lot of Sthil products, two chain saws, a weed trimmer, and now the blower vac. Great long lasting products.one of my chain saws is 42 years old and still works great. I'd like to see Sthil make a good snow blower . I highly recommend this product.

excellent blower - hard to start
I had the equivalent model for 8 year before it need to be replaced. The old model and the new model blowers both do the job as expected. I have not used the vac feature on the new model yet. The older model always stared easily. I am disappointed that the new unit is hard to start especially when warm. Last night after the unit had been idle for about 15 minutes I could not get is started again. I had to finish the job with my wife's battery powered blower. I would have given 5 stars if it was ... read more easier to start.

Plenty of power and does a nice job on the leaves
Nice machine with plenty of power but it takes forever to warm up so that you can achieve full power. Acts like it wants to stall when pulling the throttle trigger, almost like its flooding out. Took it back to the dealer and they told me it has to get broken in more. I've been through 1 gallon of gas in it and am wondering how much longer it is going to take to "break in"? I've never had any equipment act like this just because it's new. I'm having a hard time believing what I was told. Other ... read more than that it seems to be a good machine.

    Nice, well-balanced, easy-to-start blower/vac with minimal drawbacks.
I found, as stated in other reviews, that it must run a few moments to warm-up to full power, which is not a big deal. Power seems very adequate, well-balanced, and runs smooth. Once warmed up, the Easy2Start feature makes restarting easy and consistently effortless. The main downside for me is always having to use a tool (screwdriver tip) to unlock the blower tube when changing over to a vac or switching to the gutter attachment; this process could have been made much easier and tool-free. If ... read more you never change tubes or attachments, then no problem! I have found STIHL products to be reliable and high quality.

    Great for ladies too!
After my divorce my nephew lent me his old Stihl blower and bagger from his landscaping business. This was the blower that was not secured and fell off the truck and hit the pavement, but it still worked like a dream. I appreciated it because it had the bagger feature and was easy to start. Long story short. He moved the blower and bagger went with him and I went out the next weekend and purchased the same model with the bagging feature. Thank you for building such a dependable, easy to start ... read more durable piece of yard equipement.

    Great home owner blower
Is it a professional blower? No. Is it good for what it was designed for? Yes. It is light and efficient for home lawn maintenance. It is easy to move in and around bushes and trees. Much better than a hand held blower. Run time is 2 hours or more on one tank of gas, It moved a substantial amount of leafs with no back strain vibration numbness. Starts easily and never stalled. If you want a light easy to use back pack blower buy quality. Buy Stihl.

    Very Pleased
Starts easy, runs well, uses very little gas, Does the job as desired, I have a full acre of land, lots of Fir trees and broad leaf trees, maple, walnut, cherry. The Broad leafs blow very easily, the fir needles are a lot tougher. I should have purchase a bigger blower because of the fir needles. This one works but more air power in my case would work better. All in all very pleased !!

    Reliable Produce
I have owned this backpack blower for a year. Excellent product. It starts on the second pull everytime I use it. It lacks a little power compared to my previous handheld blower but not enough to downgrade it. The upside of having a backpack instead of holding the blower and your arm go numb outweighs the sligh loss in power.

    A definite must-have
A great way to clean your gutters! Guy at the service counter I bought it from warned me that I should wear a raincoat when I use it. Needless to say I should have listened to him! If your gutters haven't been cleaned in a long time, it won't make them spotless, but it gets a good portion of it cleaned. Considering that it is only a couple of plastic tubes hose clamped together, the price is a bit steep.

    Gutter kit is awesome!
I just purchased the BG 86 blower and gutter kit. I was able to clean my gutters in less than 30 minutes. This is a job that use to take several hours when completed by climbing on a ladder. As far as the device coming apart, as reported in other reviews, I was able to prevent this with electrical tape. I would highly recommend this product!!

    No more ladders!!
This does an excellent job of cleaning gutters without using ladders and without cutting my hands scooping out leaves. What used to take 2 hours can be knocked out in 15 minutes. Works well for 1 and 2 story gutters. Product is lightweight and easy to handle. The only negative is the occasional tendency of the pipes to separate and blow off, but that can usually be caught before full separation.
