    Starts every time!
I had two old trimmers, quality units but worn out. I got tired of pulling, and pulling, and pulling... I have a Stihl chainsaw, and use their equipment a lot with Samaritan’s Purse on disaster cleanup (hard use there!), so it was a no-brainer to buy a string trimmer from my local Stihl dealer. My only issue is with the handle at the balance point. It is loose, allowing the unit to turn upside down when carrying with one hand. A minor annoyance, and pretty easy to fix. The thing has plenty of ... read more power and the supplied string cuts great. Over-all, very happy with it.

Plenty of Power/feeder head needs to reworked
Trimmer has great power and starts right up, only issue I’ve had is string and feeder head. I looked at reviews before my purchase and knew this was an issue so I also purchased the heavier string. I used the factory string that was already in trimmer and had the normal not feeding issues non stop. Then I switched to the heavier string and that eased the issue with the string not feeding, but it still stopped feeding and I had to take the head apart several times to re feed the line. I think ... read more once I get the line on the head a little straighter it may feed better. I’ve used it on both normal yard grass edging and thorns around the permitted of my 5 acres in some heavy thorns and brush. This trimmer is strong and works great just need a different type of feeder head. Overall it’s a good string trimmer.

    Clean Cutting Round Line
When the Orange line ran out on my spools after some really tough cutting on the new property I replaced it with a smaller diameter .080 line that has proven to be surgical while using it. The cut is nice and clean where the broad sword of the thicker line caused a bit of a tougher cut to the grass. If you drag the thinner line in the dirt, along concrete or into thick vegetation it will scrub away quicker, but for trimming up the thinner stuff is perfect and the premium line seems to function ... read more on the spool without much fuss as all. I like the quality and performance of the line thus far and honestly can’t say a negative thing about it. It performs as expected and then some.

    .08 stihl trimmer string
Best string on the market. I have bought other string and had to restring every job if not more. Switched to stihl's .08 string and with only one wound I did 8 different properties with running out and I still don't have to rewind.

    Good line
At work we use an octagon line not stihl brand with a 130r trimmer there's times a feel it doesnt cut good enough. But with this premium round line in my 56 trimmer i dont feel it lacking anything in cutting normal trimmed areas. But only down fall ive noticed it doesn't work on woody weeds that arent cut regularly. So if your only trimming weekly-biweekly area this is a good line for the money.

Overall good but line advance has design issue
The power, ease of starting, weight distribution are good. Half the time I use it the string cuts off even and I have to stop work, pull the head off, pull line out and reinstall head. Every trimmer I have had when the line won't advance that means it is empty. Not this one. There is a note in the manual that says to not let string get shorter than an inch before tapping on the ground. You just end up tapping more often so you don't have to pull the head. Annoying.

    Great product!
Great weed eater light weight runs good, plenty of power.I have 15 acres of pasture to weed eat and have had no issues at all with this thing. I use .105 line, I have never had issues with a stihl trimmer feeding line ever. If you use a string that is large enough for the job you are doing you won't have breakage issues. And common sense will take care of most of the issues I have read in a lot of these reviews.

Simply-Put ! This is Stihl the "BEST" trimmer I have ever owned...
Works better than any other trimmer I have ever owned. The engine has a very-high rate of speed and, is very easy to start once you learn how the choke system is set-up to function. The "Dealer" was Truthful about the quality of this trimmer. The care and maintenance of this trimmer is simple if one takes the (time) to read and follow the care instructions /manual. Trimmer line is easier - maintained if running at full speed when being tapped for line extension. At a lower speed the line will ... read more not release properly and can become a problem for the Trimmer to function properly. Most people do not seem to realize this fact and, blame it on the trimmer its-self. all lines will eventually break, some sooner than others depending on the type of Terrain being used on but! there are ways to help extend the life of any trimmers line.

    Great trimmer sting
Have used many types of trimmer sting in my day and when I bought my fs70 it came with the trimmer and I thought it was going to be a joke like most sting that comes with a trimmer but no this line is tough I can edge along walk ways and drive ways of my clients homes and my home and not have to replace it I was cutting through thick weeds and still did not have to replace it.

Tough line for a tough trimmer
So we relocated to a wooded area with the dreaded Kudzu vines.. these are tenacious vines that strangle the trees and we are working to eradicate them from the property. Normally, my FS131R is on grass duty but when we went for the thick stuff... all I had was my orange line and the torque monster trimmer. Honestly a blade would have been a better bet, but not an option that Sunday. Nevertheless the “Quiet Line” cuts well, holds up to some pretty wretched abuse and is just as easy to use and ... read more feed from the spool as any. Now yes it gets caught up in the really thick vines, but the smaller stuff it managed to clip through in a few passes... pretty tough! I’m not completely sold on the “quite” feature but I am sold on the toughness! Not the cheapest line, but worth it in my opinion!

    Good product
I bought this for my lawn business and it seems to be pretty good. It starts right away after doing all the start up procedure. The only reason I rate 4 stars is because I bought this to last a lot of hours and I have no proof of this yet so I will change review after some time has passed also the product guide was not clear on how to restring it but once I figured it out it was a piece of cake. Overall good experience so far.

Handier than pockets on a shirt.
This is my second FS 91. My last one was "liberated " from my carport. After spending a day with a handsaw, I decided to pull the trigger on a new one. This newer model is really nice. Lots of improvements over my older one. I'm locking this one up this time. I will never do without one of these again. I only have 7 acres to care for, but this makes it so much easier. If I recall correctly, I paid more for my last one. These are a real bargain.

    Gets the job done.
I used a friends FS-91 last year for my hunting property and fell in love. I finally got my own and love it more. I have the circular saw on mine and it will cut through anything you need. Small trees, thick grass, thorn bushes, you name it. The machine is light and with the shoulder harness you can go for hours. It's very good on fuel consumption, I can usually cut for nearly 2 hours on one tank. I'll put it this way, you will need a break before this machine needs a break. A true work horse.

    Lightweight with wide power band.
I've used the FS 94 R for almost a year now professionally. The FS 94 R leaves you with a linear and highly adaptable power band. Its been great for delicate work as well as wide open throttle situations, whereas a lot of string trimmers are usually top end focused. Weight and ergonomics have been great as well. I haven't had much experience in cooler weather, but in 100 F+ heat I've never had any overheating issues and it cools down quickly. Fuel efficiency has been great as well. All that ... read more being said, I wouldn't choose the 94R for heavy string trimming, I feel it excels as a maintenance trimmer and not for clearing. Finally, the adjustment wheel is nice, but I never use it.

Lightweight and has some new features.
I was at the local dealer looking to replace a trimmer that was worn out. I basically use the FS 90 R and was going to get another one. That's when I noticed The FS94 R. It runs almost $50.00 more than the 90 but is well worth it. Even though it's only about 1lb. lighter than the 90, it's is noticeable. Especially when you mow around 100 properties a week. Starts easy. Has a choke like the backpack blowers. Turn the choke on, start the trimmer and the choke releases when you give it the ... read more throttle. It also has an adjustable wheel on the throttle handle that can be operated with your thumb while operating the trimmer. It regulates how much you can open the throttle. Works nice when your trimming around sensitive stuff. Allows you to concentrate on trimming and not overpowering the trimmer. Someone wrote in an earlier review about a problem with the trimmer string snapping off and really hard to replace. I think it must be operater error. This trimmer has the autocut head. Push in the 2 tabs, pull the cover off and replace the spool of string. One last note is that this trimmer is a 2 stroke not a 4 stroke like the FS 90. Those of you who know Stihl trimmers will know what I'm talking about. So even though it more expensive than the FS 90 I don't believe it makes the same amount of power. Especially in tall or thick wet grass. But for an everyday go to trimmer for maintaining and medium duty trimming it can't be beat.

    2 Mix Quality
I've carried this trimmer all over our 45 acre farm. With nearly three pounds less weight than the FS91, this trimmer causes a lot less fatigue at the end of a long day. The 2 mix engine works very well. The FS94 is one of very few Stihl 2 cycle trimmers. The 2 mix seems to have a stronger mid range than older 2 cycle designs, and it works very well at part throttle. Fuel consumption is reasonable. For those who need more power one of the bigger 4 mix trimmers may be better, but for clearing ... read more brush all day the FS94 is a great choice.
