A MUST HAVE FOR TRIMMING TREES
This is a awesome saw. It cuts tree branches like a hot knife in butter. I generally don’t write reviews but this saw deserved My 5 star review. I also have a stihl farm boss saw (another great saw) stihl builds great products!

This product is a must have for any small lanscaping and/or tree service.
This saw has been great, & the price was just right! Im a owner/operator of a tree service & was looking to purchase a good stihl pole saw. After pricing a few of their saws, i decided to go with the HT56c. This saw reaches 12ft, but is starionary. This didnt bother me because the telescopic saws wouldnt fit in the back of my truck. The HT56c breaks down into #2 six foot poles and is easy to store away. The saw has performed extremely well and has been a pleasant suprise. So, for those that ... read more doubt this saw....im here to tell you that it has plenty of power and is allot easier to handle, due to the fact that it is allot lighter then the other options that stihl has. I LOVE ALL STIHL PRODUCTS & REFUSE TO USE ANY OTHER BRAND. I WILL BE FEATURING THIS PRODUCT ON MY YOUTUBE [email protected]

    Great Reach and Power
This pole saw is an excellent tool for cutting lower branches in the juniper and pine trees on my property. It cut through branches as thick as 8 inches with ease. As I moved about on my property, which is on a hillside, I would turn the saw off but then it would start again with just a gentle pull of the starter rope without even disconnecting the strap or placing it on the ground. The pole is strong and provides excellent reach to high branches. It is reasonably lightweight, but after ... read more prolonged use, can feel heavy. It stores easily in my garage since the pole disconnects simply, allowing me to hang both the saw end and the motor end on the wall.

Top of The Line Telescoping Pole
This telescoping pole is top of the line. Easy extension and durable and does not wobble or give way when under pressure. You cannot go wrong with Stihl. Stihl products may cost a bit more than the others but you get what you pay for. For quality and long life equipment Stihl is the only brand I buy. Been burned too many times by cheap imitators.

    More bang for your buck!!
Started my morning trimming a mesquite tree with a cheapo from the Depot. Had to stop working and took a short drive my local hardware store which happens to carry Stihl. Had a gas pole saw in my sights and on my mind, when I just happened to see the PP 800. Didn't have the funds for exactly the one I wanted the gas combi. Was a bit apprehensive about picking up another manual pole saw, how much could the difference be. Well when I got out of the truck and reached for my newly purchased PP 800 ... read more and proceeded to saw to my heart's content with little to no effort. Got lost in what I was doing and before I knew it my wife had to slap me around to let me know that I had trimmed more than what I was supposed to. Awsome tool highly recommend for any job

Feels solid and of great professional quality
I purchased the PP800 and the saw and lopper attachments. I immediately started trimming up limbs and branches blocking my view of the lake. The pole weight seemed perfect and helped to keep the saw in the cutting groove. While a bit expensive, I absolutely love this uncommonly excellent set of pruning tools. I encountered a problem, however, within the first 30 minutes of work. There are two sliding sections. The lower section can be positioned anywhere and then locked into place with the ... read more installed plastic clamp. However, the upper section must be positioned so the spring balls engage with the holes in the pole. Not intuitive at all. Failure to engage the spring balls in the holes resulted in the upper section moving back and forth which quickly resulted in the spring getting pushed down the inside of the pole. The dealer repaired the pole but they worked on it for nearly two hours and when returned to me, the upper spring balls are slightly askew which will likely cause future problems. This does not seem to be a good design, but maybe it will be ok. By the way, a label on the pole does say that the upper section must be engaged at the holes which is not the case for the lower section even though they have the same clamping mechanism. You would not think that a pole comes with a critical instruction that is not pointed out by the dealer and not tagged with a CAUTION. Failure to heed this critical instruction will render the pole extension inoperable in a short time if my experience is any indication.

    Unbeatable quality and utility.
I have owned this product for 2 years now and I just love using it. Mine has the old style handle and the new ones feel much better. The old models had one tiny problem that was easily fixed. There is a small screw that acts as a stopper so that you don't rotate the handle completely as this would twist the innards and break something, and the screw was prone to falling out after extensive use. A drop of light epoxy on the screw threads and mine stayed put--easy fix. Now I use this for ... read more pruning just about everything: Japanese Maples, fruit trees, tall vines like Ivy and Jasmine, pittosporum, etc. It's also a great tool for pruning anything with thorns like reaching into a thick lime tree or large bougainvillea. This tool is very strong and can take a lot of abuse. I frequently leave this pruner outside and it shows no signs of corrosion anywhere. After 2 seasons of use the blade still cuts well despite never being sharpened. I have used both hands to squeeze the handle as hard as I can while trying to cut something i probably should have used another tool for, and I'm a fairly strong person at 6' 3" 275. I love tools that need no babying or hand-holding as they go through life and this pruner is just beyond exceptional in its durability. Yes I'm sure if you drove over it something bad would happen, but if you're driving over your tools, well, you have other more important problems you ought to deal with. This pruner saves you from having to use a ladder which increases both safety and efficiency. With this pruner it's nice to be able to make your cuts and be able to step back and assess your progress whereas with a ladder you have to keep going up and down the ladder. Anyway I probably sound like I'm a sales rep for this product or something but I can assure you that's not true. My affection for this tool is rooted in the fact that it makes my job easier, faster, and safer while costing very little and asking nothing in terms of maintenance. Keep the blade clean and you're good to go. I hope you enjoy this pruner as much as I do.

    Works well for small branches
The PP 101, I find, is very handy for light trimming. It is light, very precise, made with Stihl quality and cuts through fruit tree branches, up to about 1/2 inch, easily. I would like to have a shorter one, maybe 3 or 4 feet, for trimming roses and hard to reach plants.

    prefect for small limbs
for limbs too little for saws. I have huge tree on my farm and there is always a little limb that is just to small for the saws. this thing is prefect.

    They finally got it right
2019 HT 131 finally got it right. I believe the HT 133 was an attempt of Stihl trying to cut corners and maximize profits. It was a total disaster... HT 131 improved the cheap designs of HT 133 and made an extremely powerful and stable pole saw with a 14 inch 3/8 blade that kicks butt... If you buy Stihl's engine oil or gas mixture, you will double the warranty on the pole saw. That increase it to 4 years. I have become a Stihl man again.

    Awesome pole saw
Easy to start. Has always fired up on first or second pull of the rope. More than enough power. Will easily power thru twelve inch diameter limbs. Great fuel economy. Will run for around three hours of trimming before refueling. Sturdy shaft assembly. Does not flex much while trimming. Great saw for the money

    Great value, great saw
Bought this saw to replace my trusty but old ht101. More power, uses less gas. Will cut 10 inch limbs like butter. Be careful not to get the bar pinched in a limb because it's a long way up to clear it. Much better saw than the one it replaced, glad I waited. My local Stihl dealer gave me good advise as always. Step up and get yourself one of these, you won't be disappointed.

    New favorite saw
I own a commercial apple orchard. I just bought the HTA65 but ALSO own the HTA85 which I have had for 2 years now. I considered the HTA85 my best saw purchase but found it a bit heavy to work with. So, checking the specs on the HTA65 I took the chance and bought the fixed length version. While it is only a couple of pounds lighter, the weight savings is all in the upper half of the pruner. But not only is it lighter but its about 1 foot shorter than the HTA85 , which puts the saw head closer ... read more making the mechanical advantage better and adding to the much lighter feel of the saw. 99.9 percent of my cuts don't need the extension of the HTA85 so the HTA65 is now my "go to" saw. Huge difference after pruning and cutting for a while. I find that I use the pole saw for 80% of my chain saw work now. Also, I can let ANYONE use this saw! No chance of kickback injury or leg injury ( at least not to the operator).

    Typical Stihl Quality
Bought this to trim some branches that I had to keep moving out of my way when mowing my lawn. Sliced through Red Oak limbs like they were nothing. Very sharp, great quality. A little pricey, but a lifetime warranty goes a long way to offset the price.

    My go-to tool for trees
Love, Love, Love this pruner! A must-have for tree trimming. I have run over them with my truck & still works like a charm. The tool that comes up missing because everyone else wants to use it.

Great for reaching branches in high places.
I purchased the PP100 several years ago to prune branches on my property. It has proven to be an excellent hand tool for trimming and for reaching those hard to get branches. I would recommend the PP100 for those that demand HIGH QUALITY tools in their arsenal! You will be amazed at the size branches this tool will handle. Very useful tool!
