Don't be scared of price, well worth it.
From the moment you pick this maul up it becomes apparent this is a well crafted tool. I am currently splitting 18 inch wide dry ash rounds. With an old tire around them these large rounds are reduced to small pieces in no time. After splitting firewood for the past 25+ years I can easily say this is one of the best tools I have used. Excellent product.

You'd think it was gas operated!!
I've never split wood in my life until today. This maul is worth every penny. I was concerned that it may be too light but it went through pine and aspen in no time. I split wood for 3 hours before I got tired. Mostly because it was so much fun to use! The collar on the handle is handy but be careful. Hit it just right and it'll give you a zinger!!

TOP-SHELF Pruning Saw that is the BEST-OF-THE-BEST !
I've been using saws like this all of my life. This one is the best-of-the-best. I recognized this Saw as coming from a vendor known as the source of the best arboriculture hand tools in the world. This Saw has a Sheath that will adequately protect the Blade & the user. Exercise care when using this Saw as the Teeth are extremely sharp. The Blade's life is dependent upon how well you keep it from ground contact & clean. Sap & pitch build-up, combined with dirt, will dull the Teeth. I recommend ... read more citrus-based cleaners or acetone to remove contaminants. If you care for this tool, it will last you a long time! Wear leather gloves. Stihl, I suggest adding the Model number "PS 90" to the Sheath & Saw so that others can readily identify the product.

    Fast, super clean cuts
I am a groundskeeper for a small elementary school, so we are very sensitive to how we budget our time and money. The Stihl PS 90 Arboriculture Saw is far from the cheapest saw on the market, but has certainly proved itself to be a worthwhile investment. As a saw, it makes fast, super clean cuts, and no matter what we use it on, the blade cleans up very easily and quickly. The leg scabbard with its thumb lock is also important as we need the blade to be secured while walking around the campus. ... read more Only time will tell how the plastic roller holds up.

    Axe Thrower
Bought this axe based on store display. Smaller thickness handle which fits me well. The blade has a great narrow taper and is wicked sharp. This one is ideal for competitive axe throwing. Scored a perfect match my first week. Definitely a go to axe and far better than the competition at 5 times the price.

    Great little hatchet
Great little hatchet and a lot of bang for your buck. I got to dig through about 12 of these to find the best one. Some where uneven as far as the axe head and handle, but found probably 5 of the 12 that were straight as could be. The problem with the others, to me, was the hole in the axe head was off center... being a perfectionist this bugged me. So watch for that and compare seveal together and you'll get a good hatchet. I did and have used my extensively and have no complaints about it. ... read more Well, I didn't care for the paint so I took it off. German blade is 600grams, Ash Handle and just a great lightweight hatchet that you can do some big chores with.

    Perfect Axe Throwing Tool
OK you axe throwing aficionados. This is the perfectly balanced ax for throwing. Sticks every time. Just take five paces back from your Target and throw. The bottom of the handle has that notch that just flips right off your fingers for the proper rotation and sticks every time so, if you're looking for the perfect target throwing axe, this is it. I have 22 throwing axes, now 23 and 4 targets made of Cottonwood trunks and cut down the middle Western Red Cedar power poles. Be careful. Purchase ... read more d at B&B Cyclery in Geneseo IL.

    Nice Pocket Saw
This is nice saw to have for those little prunning duties I have where bringing out a chain saw is not needed. Had it for awhile and still sharp and works great.

    Like It A Lot!
I used this at my nephew's last weekend to split kindling and liked it way better than the trusty hatchet I've had and used since 1977. Great weight and balance, the edge was sharp (and looks like it will hold awhile), and the little fillip at the end of the handle facilitated a very controlled swing. I felt like a monster powering through the wood. Much as I hate to retire my old hatchet, I'm gonna get me one of these!

    Good head weight
I purchased this hatchet to split kindling and was reluctant to use it as it didn't fit well in my hand when it was toward the base for small cuts and I thought that it was too heavy for kindling. My wood stove uses 10" max lengths of wood and I cut a bunch of Cherry and Peach wood. I've been using this hatchet to split this hardwood and was surprised that it worked so well. I have yet had to use my splitting maul. It has enough head weight and carries enough momentum to chop some 6" diameter ... read more logs. It could have been a little sharper given the cost and I'm not sure why Stihl has to load the head and handle with stickers that are difficult to remove. Overall I am very pleased with the way the hatchet works.

    Excellent Tool!
It does what it was intended to do. I simply bought it because it was made by Stihl.

    These are terrific!
After 8 years of heavy use, I had to throw my loppers away yesterday. I cleared riding trails, pruned up trees, cut brush, you name it, they performed! I am headed to buy a new looper this am. No other loppers compare.

    Works better than it should
This may be the smallest lopper in the product lineup, but it can power through branches that should justify getting a different tool. It's small enough to be easy to wield, yet strong enough to cut almost anything that will fit in the jaws. Whether the wood is dry or green, this will cut it. After 5 years of use, I'm amazed I haven't been able to break it yet, despite my best efforts. All hand tools should be made this well.

Stand up well to daily use in a 10 acre vineyard!
I was a little concerned about the length of the handles until I used them the first time. They are very easy to maneuver because of the blade and hook design. You can get into very tight places in a vine canopy. These will cut!
