Great job requiring exact cuts for visible floor results.
Cut 60+' of 4" re barbed concrete that required exact cross and end cuts for finish work in a floor. Good power. Have rented the bigger machines with the same results except this machine was lighter and easier to handle.

    Hands down , the best!
We’ve been using and abusing the 400 s , 410s and 420s for 20 years now , cutting all types of materials but mostly masonry and concrete; when you do that on a daily basis with no maintenance at all ( we run them until they die and then replace them) and get a 2-3 years out a unit , you cannot rate this machines lower then 5 stars, top notch pieces of equipment. We won’t buy anything else , period.

    Overall great saw.
This things are expensive. I had a really old one that was having compression problems and would always cause the pull rope to break at the worst times. So I finally gave in and bought a new TS420. Like I said, they're very pricey. So far the saw runs great. Fires right up within three pulls when cold, and always on the first pull once it's warmed up. Only thing I don't like is it feel bogged down when the blade is fully plunged in concrete, which is why I'm giving it four stars for the power ... read more category. I do a lot of Versa Lok retaining walls, which are 6" tall blocks. I wish the blade on this thing could cut 6" deep, but it doesn't. You have to make one cut, then flip the block over and finish it off, which really eats up a lot of time when you're cutting a lot of block while building a wall. Definitely something I wish Stihl would consider changing in their design.

    Product works great
I am a plumber and I use this machine to cut through slabs to get to my drain lines. I have used other machines before. I rented for a while before I bought so I have a guideline for this review as well. This was a great purchase. I have had it for about four years. I have cut about 2000 feet with it and have not had any problems. My first time using it I had to learn a few things out so it took a little bit to get it started. Ever since then starting it is a breeze. This machine once you prime ... read more the carburetor starts on the second or third pull even after it has sat for months. I use ethanol free fuel just so you guys know. I love this machine. It is fun to use. The only reason I did not give it a full score on the power is because when you use a 16'' blade it will bog down in thick slabs. You just have to go a little bit slower and then it is fine. Other machines I have found could not come close to matching the power of this machine. I would recommend this to anyone. It is way better then renting and I bet if I where to sell this right now I could get close to what I paid for it. They hold there value. Also. I bought the wheels for the machine. I don't know why it doesn't come with the machine because it doesn't roll without them. It was a cheap add on anyway so it is not a big deal to buy. The wheels sit off the ground a little so when it is just sitting it is on its pads and doesn't roll or move when idling. Great Machine. It is one of my favorite tools in my business. You know what. Nevermind. It is my favorite.

    Built like a Mack truck!
Saws a power house! Runs great, cuts well. Even with dull blades cuts concrete and asphalt no problem. Low maintenance even with multiple operators abusing it. Only negative is she’s a bit heavy

    Gets it done.. QUICK
worked great for what I need to do! Cutting 4-8 thick concrete is relatively easy with this thing.

The Stihl TS700 is the best choice for all your cut-off saw needs, no matter how demanding.
I typically use a cut-off saw to install vehicle loop detectors in asphalt and concrete driveways and roadways. In the past I have rented a Makita saw from a local rental agency. Much to my despair, this saw didn't have enough power to allow me to keep it in the material being cut very long at all. I would have to plunge the saw after holding down the trigger all the way and would only be able to cut a few inches at a time. This was very time consuming and very physically exhausting, especially ... read more on my back. A good friend of mine owns an older TS700 with a quick cart, and suggested I borrow his saw to see how I liked it. After completion of a job in literally 25% of the time it took with the rented saw with no pain, I was sold. The TS700 did not bog at all in the hot asphalt. Not only did I purchase a TS700 saw with a quick cart, but I also purchased a BG86 blower to keep the dust down while using the TS700. So now I have a Stihl chainsaw, weed trimmer, cut-off saw, and blower. Stihl products are definitely the way to go for professional grade tools with the the best performance and dependability in the industry. I'm sold!

    Stihl still the best!
I love the TS 700. I got a LOT of work out if my TS 400's ( demolition, block walls , pavers concrete and asphalt cuts ,etc) . They never let me down, just had to maintain them correctly and they paid for themselves in no time at all. I had my eye on the 700 tho because of the extra power and man, that was no bs! The TS 700 is the best 14" ive operated and i respect husqvarna/partner k760 hilti dsh 700 and makita/dolmar too but for overall performance, durability and dependability why, i dobt ... read more even think its close. TS 700 is my personal favorite and it paid for itself in ONE JOB!!! Anyway, thats just my humble opinion. God bless, Matt Amick

    Landscaper's best friend
I own a landscaping company and we mostly do pavers and slabs patio, walkway and driveway. Some days the saw run 10 hours and we never had any problem except a water connector that broke. Other than that the TS 500 i start like a charm. It is a lightweight saw for the power it produce. Any dummy can do the maintenance on this saw. Thank you Stihl for this quality product !

    Great motor!
I have the 12" version of this saw for over a year now and we use it almost daily. With one exception, the saw has fired up on first few pulls every time. Water control feature that shuts flow off once trigger is released is awesome! I have two other older carb style saws in my shop, and my guys won't touch them anymore. They have been sitting for a full year now, so they are going up for sale and I'm buying the 14" version of this saw. I was slightly hesitant about the bigger blade with the ... read more same engine as the 12" version, but it has so much power that I don't expect it to be an issue. Reading the other reviews confirms this.

Great power. A very dependable saw.
I have owned multiple 500i saws and it is the best cutoff saw I've owned or used. I primarilly use mine to cut stone, mostly hard granite. The power to weight ratio is unmatched. Very dependable, starts on the second or third pull every time! My only issue is the auto water feed which is the first thing to go. Still works on my most recently purchased saw but has failed on the older ones. Other than that it's a low maintenance machine, great power, balance, weight and dependability. I would ... read more reccomend this saw over any others on the market.

    Great for light work.
This saw is one of my favorite purchases I’ve ever made. Sometimes I don’t want to drag the old gas saw out. It’s loud and smelly. Haha. Cut hundreds of brick pavers the other day, just cycling out batteries. Cuts through sandstone and limestone like butter. Quiet and lightweight. Also purchased the weedwacker and leaf blower. Love them, too. Please come out with a demo hammer!

    Game changer
Perfect saw for pavers, block, brick. Works great for cuts. Our gas saw will be only coming out for the big heavy jobs. This saw will replace the gas saw for residential and commercial masonry.

Great Saw but needs a large blade
I love this product but they need to come out with a larger blade. This product is perfect for cutting pavers. I can not cut retaining wall caps which are only 4 inches thick. Drives me crazy. I talked to a few guys at the GI Expo this year about the problem but they did not seem too interested in fixing the problem.

    very maneuverable
I use the tank with a 420 saw and it makes the saw very maneuverable. I often use this saw to cut walls for basement egress windows and the flexibility of the hose when you are in a hole is awesome. The hose on it is long enough that I don't need to have the tank right next to me which is nice for cramped spaces. The tank also stays pressurized for a good amount of time before needing to get pumped back up. Ditch the garden hose and buy this tank.

    Great
Great product water only last about 10 min but anything beats breathing in dust for those 10 min.

Works well, meets new compliance standards
We use these tanks with our cut-off saws cutting concrete, etc. that creates silica dust. These meet compliance, but mostly they do a great job helping keep the saw-blades cool and knocking down the dust.
