    Very nice saw
Im a 20 year mason contractor and have used Stihl saws for ever. This saw performs very well. A couple nit picks about the saw though, to compliment an already great saw. The start mechanism is clunky on this generation. It is hard to tell if the throttle is on or not when setting the switch. I really like the choke, although the smoothness of the lever could be greatly improved. It is to rigid IMO. I would also like to have a definitive choke ON choke OFF. I am writing it on the machine with ... read more marker for my guys. Were not engineers, so which way does what? It is easy to flood these machines if people get the choke "wrong". The stock pull cord is too short. I almost ripped the machine in half when first starting my new saw. The hose attachment rides low to the ground and I have already noticed it could be taking abuse. I like how high the blade sits at a resting position as compared to my old trusty TS400. As compared to the TS 400 the distance from the two hand grip positions has been shortened. I prefer the TS400 gripping positions, although im sure I wont notice in a matter of days. I have been looking at the spring that is mounted on the sides and question its durability. I mentioned to the salesman that it probably wont make it a year. The people who use these tools are animals. Switches that don't move smoothly will get snapped off, pull cords that are short will get ripped apart and springs that are mounted to the outside could possibly get knocked off. Don't get me wrong, I love this saw, just some areas I would like to see an improvement :)

Great job requiring exact cuts for visible floor results.
Cut 60+' of 4" re barbed concrete that required exact cross and end cuts for finish work in a floor. Good power. Have rented the bigger machines with the same results except this machine was lighter and easier to handle.

    Two thumbs up.
This is a great tool. We wish we would have bought it years ago. Starts easy, runs great, has lots of power, blades last a long time. We are cutting a lot of 2 7/8 inch pipe and some 4 inch makes quick work of it. If you are thinking about one get one you will not be sorry.

    Everything I expected
After having several TS-350s, some in the stable for 20 years, I upgraded to the TS-410. It is a little bit lighter, but more importantly, it is balance so that you don't feel it is working against you. There is definitely less vibration too. I also bought the STIHL pressurized water tank, primarily cutting concrete roof tile. It takes a little time to determine the right flow of water to minimize water usage while also keeping the slurry diluted enough to run off or recapture the water. So far ... read more I am totally pleased ith the new saw and system.

    Best Demo Saw
Im a professional concrete paver installer, and I have used all of the brands over the last fifteen years. This model saw is the best. It is the easiest to start, and the filter system is excellent. These saws have been the most reliable, only problem i have ever had is the pull chords are prone to breaking. The handle location on the top of the saw instead of the back like all others, is so much more comfortable and makes the saw more manuverable. Also parts are much more affordable and readily ... read more available compared to all the other brands Ive had, which I think is all of them.

    Landscaper's best friend
I own a landscaping company and we mostly do pavers and slabs patio, walkway and driveway. Some days the saw run 10 hours and we never had any problem except a water connector that broke. Other than that the TS 500 i start like a charm. It is a lightweight saw for the power it produce. Any dummy can do the maintenance on this saw. Thank you Stihl for this quality product !

    Great motor!
I have the 12" version of this saw for over a year now and we use it almost daily. With one exception, the saw has fired up on first few pulls every time. Water control feature that shuts flow off once trigger is released is awesome! I have two other older carb style saws in my shop, and my guys won't touch them anymore. They have been sitting for a full year now, so they are going up for sale and I'm buying the 14" version of this saw. I was slightly hesitant about the bigger blade with the ... read more same engine as the 12" version, but it has so much power that I don't expect it to be an issue. Reading the other reviews confirms this.

One of the best saws on the market
I have had this saw for a year now. This saw is great my guys love it because it is easy to start and it can still run if your cutting above your head (like a masonry cut out for windows etc).I have hear every complain from my guys about any of my equipment but with this saw they love it. I hear no whiny from them about this saw. I also have Hilti saws and also a stihl 420 they won't even use it now I am trying to sell them so I can buy another 500i. Just make sure you keep the fuel clean if not ... read more it could get stuck in the injector but that has never happen to me yet and we use the saw almost every day. I you look at a new saw buy the 500i I can see all small engines going to injectors in the future

    Stihl still the best!
I love the TS 700. I got a LOT of work out if my TS 400's ( demolition, block walls , pavers concrete and asphalt cuts ,etc) . They never let me down, just had to maintain them correctly and they paid for themselves in no time at all. I had my eye on the 700 tho because of the extra power and man, that was no bs! The TS 700 is the best 14" ive operated and i respect husqvarna/partner k760 hilti dsh 700 and makita/dolmar too but for overall performance, durability and dependability why, i dobt ... read more even think its close. TS 700 is my personal favorite and it paid for itself in ONE JOB!!! Anyway, thats just my humble opinion. God bless, Matt Amick

The Stihl TS700 is the best choice for all your cut-off saw needs, no matter how demanding.
I typically use a cut-off saw to install vehicle loop detectors in asphalt and concrete driveways and roadways. In the past I have rented a Makita saw from a local rental agency. Much to my despair, this saw didn't have enough power to allow me to keep it in the material being cut very long at all. I would have to plunge the saw after holding down the trigger all the way and would only be able to cut a few inches at a time. This was very time consuming and very physically exhausting, especially ... read more on my back. A good friend of mine owns an older TS700 with a quick cart, and suggested I borrow his saw to see how I liked it. After completion of a job in literally 25% of the time it took with the rented saw with no pain, I was sold. The TS700 did not bog at all in the hot asphalt. Not only did I purchase a TS700 saw with a quick cart, but I also purchased a BG86 blower to keep the dust down while using the TS700. So now I have a Stihl chainsaw, weed trimmer, cut-off saw, and blower. Stihl products are definitely the way to go for professional grade tools with the the best performance and dependability in the industry. I'm sold!

The Best Cut-Off Saw on the Market... Period.
This saw beats out every competitor on the market. We have used pretty much every saw brand out there and none cut nearly as fast and effortlessly as this saw(especially the other orange ones). As for the plastic, we are happy with it, since the weight of the saw can get heavy at times. As long as you take care of this saw, maintain it properly, and not let it get stolen, then it will pay for itself shortly. Don't waste your time or money looking anywhere else... get a Stihl.

    Great
Great product water only last about 10 min but anything beats breathing in dust for those 10 min.

Works well, meets new compliance standards
We use these tanks with our cut-off saws cutting concrete, etc. that creates silica dust. These meet compliance, but mostly they do a great job helping keep the saw-blades cool and knocking down the dust.

    very maneuverable
I use the tank with a 420 saw and it makes the saw very maneuverable. I often use this saw to cut walls for basement egress windows and the flexibility of the hose when you are in a hole is awesome. The hose on it is long enough that I don't need to have the tank right next to me which is nice for cramped spaces. The tank also stays pressurized for a good amount of time before needing to get pumped back up. Ditch the garden hose and buy this tank.

its time to come out with a saw for rhe brick layers
I've been a bricklayer for 35 years an when I seen this saw I thought to myself it's about time that they came out with this saw that's light and manageable to 2000 a wall it is very impressive but they need another inch on a saw blade very impressed but it doesn't cut through a brick if that ever is done I would buy it in a minute matter of fact I know 10 bricklayers that would buy it right away start thinking about tand I guarantee it your sales would increase 50%he bricklayers

Great saw for cutting scrap metal
very impressed with this little saw. Cuts through Catalytic converters easily which is hardened stainless steel. Makes quick work of steel drainage pipe to cut lengths to fit into trailer. A must have for thew serious scrapper.

    Excellent!
Bought this saw for use on a tow truck. Don't have to worry if the saw will start because it WILL. You can use it upside-down in confined space to cut. Smaller than the gas one so it takes up less room in the tool box. Makes work at accident site quick and easy. I think the batteries could last a little longer, but it's still not bad for what it is.
