I love my BR600 backpack blower and after 1 year of ownership its still going strong!
I have owned my Stihl BR600 blower for 1-year and every time I start it, I am impressed with the ease of use, performance and quality! I use my blower to clean up excess grass in the yard during the summer, keep the driveway and garage clean and I clean up leaves in the fall (its power really moves them) and it has never let me down! It's easy to start and the ergonomics make it easy to wear and operate for several hours at a time. I definitely recommend this product and wish I would ... read more have purchased it a long time ago...

    Less Time
Brought the blower home and started using it right away. Frist impression is what a time saver. In a matter of a few minutes I had move more leaves than what would have taken about 15 or 20 minutes with my old blower. I bought the blower for home use and do not have any regrets. I would recommend this product to any home owner wishing to save time in the yard.

    Powerful Blower
Have had my BR600 for ca. 1.5 years and am pleased with its performance. I have many large trees on my 1 acre property and my cleanup time greatly decreased with the BR600. Am able to blow a "pile" of leaves into my woods in short order. Having expressed my kudos, my only complaint is the harness. I've read about this complaint elsewhere. One of the shoulder straps tends to slip off when the blower is in use. A hassle as this is not a lightweight unit. Stihl engineers need to get this resolved!

    This thing is great
I bought this blower vac this spring to clean up last leafs leaves. This machine will clog if you try to suck up too many wet leaves. So I had to scatter them with the blower configuration then after they had some time in the sun to dry this machine in the vacuum configuration easily sucked them all up. I have been very please with this machine. Sense the leave clean up it gets used once a week to clean off my patio and sidewalks. It so far has been very easy to start. I will update this review ... read more once the machine gets some age on it

    Value for the price.
My yard is about 1/2 acre and with a lot of trees, pecan and oak trees. With all the trees in my yard and so many leaves in the fall, I needed a good dependable leaf blower and vac. I researched them and talked to yard maintenance people about the equipment they use. Most used stihl products and were extremely satisfied. Stihl was what I purchased. I am extremely happy with it, so this year I purchased a stihl line trimmer, and am pleased with it. Stihl equipment is my choice for lawn tools from now on.

    It's great being cordless!
I love not having to deal with an electrical cord. I am a small, older female, and needed a vac/blower that wasn't too heavy & started easily. This product accomplishes these requirements for me. I do have a little difficulty in pushing the tabs with a tool to change the tools! But can live with it. I think if you were stronger & had bigger hands this might not be an issue, just an annoyance. My husband likes using this product, except push tabs, too. Haven't had/used enough to know about the ... read more maintenance aspect.

This product is everything I was looking for in a blower.
The BR450 is an absolute powerhouse blower for any homeowner who needs that kind of horsepower. A job that took me 3 to 4 days by hand to do was accomplished in 4 hours with the 450. A word of warning to smaller home owner men. This blower is a little on the hefty side and would actually cause you to expend energy just to keep it pointed straight out. But the results from the use are totally worth the effort. I would rather spend the money to buy the tool and do it myself than pay someone to do ... read more it. Especially with the outstanding results I got from using it. I have 2 acres of manicured lawn in the middle of the woods with overhanging limbs so yes, I need that kind of power. And I got it.

This product is better for smaller framed people.
All we have is Stihl blowers, weed eaters and a chainsaw. When the 600 Magnum came out I thought that it was the bomb but the women I work with did not like it at all and went back to the older ones. Now that the 450 came out they love it since it seems to fit better to their body types better. I'm almost 6 foot and 225 and the Magnum fits me great, where most of them are around 5'6" and 125. The power is very comparable to the 600. Now when we hire someone new we will definetly know which blower to get.

    Worth the Dollars
As a property manager, I had a smaller homeowner Stihl blower for probably a decade, dependable but lacking in power for wet leaves. Recently I decided to buy the commercial BR 450. It was pricey but I decided to trust the reviews and the Stihl brand. I was not disappointed! Huge piles of wet leaves go flying. A job that took an hour now takes 15 minutes. Wonderful product, well made, easy start. Should have bought it years ago. (Use Stihl oil and always premium gas. Today's gasoline is not ... read more your father's gasoline; it's junk with the water/ethanol. Don't risk your engine. The difference is pennies for the amount of gas a blower uses.)

Very impressed with the blower. Very powerful.
I have resisted purchasing a blower for many years because they seemed noisy and unnecessary most of the time. I am so impressed with this blower. It is so powerful and quiet. I cant believe what it can do and how fast it works. I am mostly blowing off porches and sidewalks. It is so powerful it will blow the rocks off my gravel driveway when directed in certain way. But, if I hold it at the correct angle the rocks stay in place. Highly recommended.

The best big handheld blower on the market
I was seeking another stihl blower to replace my retired stihl sh85. I bought this one. The 4 point spring anti vibes make this blower very comfy to use this machine has plenty of power for big and small jobs this blower is very easy to start and use (mine starts in 4 pulls- I use 50:1 canned fuel ethnol free). I highly recommend this blower.

    Best blower for the money!
I LOVE my BR700, its easy to use, not as heavy as expected and the power is amazing!! The sound is a cool plus too. It literally feels like a blower gatling gun that annihilates massive piles of leaves wet or dry. For the last 16 years I’ve used a SH85 blower because I’m not a professional landscaper, yet dreamed of owning a backpack blower. I finally pulled the trigger. I was going to buy the BR450 but decided to buy the most powerful money can buy. I have zero regret, Stihl constantly makes ... read more the best quality products period. Only one drawback for me
This blower starts easily. Has good power and volume. I’m a 62 year old woman and can start and lift without a problem. However I cannot get the straps to stay up on shoulders no matter how I adjust. There is no waist or chest strap like my last blower. So I have to blow with right arm and hold onto left strap to keep it on. If anyone knows a solution let me know

    Powerful!
It has been raining for days here in the mountains of N Ga and my draining ditches are full of wet leaves. More rain is expected so I had to clean out my ditches. It was use a less powerful blower and rake or buy a more expense and more powerful BR 700. Thank God I bought the BR 700! What took me all day to day last year took less than an hour today. I could not get over how wet the leaves were and how fast the BR 700 blew them out of the ditch. Best investment I have made in a long time.

Electric start not reliable on first start.
I like the concept of the electric start, but it hasn't proved reliable. The battery does not hold a charge. Each time you use the unit you must manually pull start the blower for its initial start even when using the next day. After running for a while if you pause and stop the blower it will start again at the push of a button which is convenient. I took the blower back to the dealer and they replied that there was nothing wrong with it so I presume it is normal that the battery doesn't hold a charge.

Excellent Backpack Blower...but the shoulder straps
I love this blower as it has the power I need. The push button start is so handy! Yes it is a bit heavier with the electric start but to me it is well worth the extra cost. Kinda like having a cool gadget. I do have one little dissappointment..Sorry Stihl team. I knew this going in as I read many other reviews with same comment. The shoulder straps...ouch. Stihl team, I know you all are very smart, talented and creative. Find and implement a solution please. I will be happy to buy new straps or ... read more device which can solve this challenge. Love the blower, love the products Stihl offers! Just a little fix here would be great! Thanks for listening!

    Great blower!
I wanted to get a new blower for around the house and decided that I didn’t want another box store unit. I did a ton of research and own stihl weed eaters and chainsaws. Since I have a ton of oaks on my property, I initially went to purchase the BR 600 but after talking with the sales person I decided to give the 450 a shot. It has more than exceeded my expectations. Very very powerful blower and handles the yard debris in minimal time. No more raking the yard for this guy!
