With the STIHL FSA 85 professional trimmer, you can take your business farther than before. Powered by Lithium-Ion battery technology, the FSA 85 is five times quieter than the STIHL gasoline-powered equivalent, making it ideally suited for jobs in densely populated and noise-restricted areas. And with zero exhaust emissions, it has applications for use in close quarters and municipalities looking to go green. Plus, with no need for gasoline, the STIHL FSA 85 can eliminate fuel costs. All without the confines of a power cord.

The high cutting speeds of the STIHL FSA 85 allow for more trimming in less time. The battery runs at full speed until depleted with no gradual loss of power. Lightweight and well balanced, the STIHL FSA 85 delivers excellent cutting performance and low vibration for easy operation. The variable speed trigger allows operators to control the cutting speed around delicate plantings, and the instant start up trigger simplifies spot trimming jobs.

Run time on a single battery charge can vary and depends on the battery type, charge level, tool model, operating conditions, and the user's operating style.

Caring for Nature
The STIHL Inc. "Caring for Nature" seal identifies its powered products and oils that are more environmentally conscious. For powered products, the seal signifies that they produce zero or low exhaust emissions. STIHL Inc. defines "low exhaust emissions" as being cleaner than EPA and/or CARB exhaust emission standards. For oils, the seal means that the oils are highly biodegradable, degrading by 80 percent or more within 21 days.

To reduce the risk of injury from blade contact, circular saw blades may be used on FS brushcutters that have a limitstop, a bicycle handle and double shoulder harness and not on FS brushcutters with a "J" handle or loop handle. Other rigid blades may be used on FS brushcutters having a bicycle handle, a "J" handle or a loop handle equipped with a barrier bar. To reduce the risk of eye injury always wear proper eye protection. Always use the appropriate deflector for the type of cutting attachment, as explained in your instruction manual.
