Description

Charged with a 36-volt battery, this chain saw eliminates the need for power cords and helps reduce environmental impact. The MSA 160 C-BQ Chain Saw delivers the power you would expect from STIHL without the worry of harmful emissions and the hassle of mixing fuel. Lithium-Ion batteries run at full speed until the battery is depleted with no gradual drop in power and a balanced, lightweight design and low vibration provide user comfort.

A combination of new technology and STIHL reliability, firewood cutting, storm clean-up and other occasional cutting tasks around the home can be completed without the need for power source once the battery is charged. With no engine and filter care required, users will appreciate low operating cost as well as minimal maintenance.

Run time on a single battery charge can vary and depends on the battery type, charge level, tool model, operating conditions, and the user's operating style.

Caring for Nature
The STIHL Inc. "Caring for Nature" seal identifies its powered products and oils that are more environmentally conscious. For powered products, the seal signifies that they produce zero or low exhaust emissions. STIHL Inc. defines "low exhaust emissions" as being cleaner than EPA and/or CARB exhaust emission standards. For oils, the seal means that the oils are highly biodegradable, degrading by 80 percent or more within 21 days.
STIHL Quickstop^® Plus (Q) Chain Braking Feature
An additional chain braking feature designed to activate when you completely release the rear handle. Designed to stop the chain within one second.
Quick Chain Adjuster (QCA)
This toolless system allows for fast and easy chain adjustment.
Ematic™ Oil-Saving Guide Bar
Includes a polymer ramp reservoir which holds bar oil until it can be picked up by passing chain. This can reduce oil usage by up to 50%.
Wide Throttle Trigger
STIHL Quickstop^® Chain Brake System
Designed to stop the chain in fractions of a second. Can be manually activated or activated by inertia if the kickback force is sufficient.
